Chapter 123: Chapter 123
Louis didn't say anything to her. He just glared at her. She slapped him? What had he said wrong? She started it. Without saying anything else, he tried to get Pamela's hands off him but she wouldn't let him go.
"Pamela please, let me go. You know that I love you and even till now, I still love you. So please, let go" Louis pleaded.
"No, Louis I won't let you go. How can you say such words to me? I love you and you know it. I waited for you to be alright.
I didn't take it as an offence when I saw your intimacy with Miranda Alvan. And after I knew that you were having affairs with her, I confronted you on it, you remember how it ended that day, right?
I remained faithful to you Louis, even when you were wallowing in unfaithfulness. I only broke up with you after you recovered your memory.
How dare you tell me that you fucked Miranda Alvan better than me? How can you disrespect me like this?" Pamela yelled into his face.
She started sobbing. Clarion went to her quickly and pulled her to herself. She cannot stand it to see her granddaughter broken.
"It's alright honey. Everything will eventually be alright" Clarion pleaded, taking Pamela into the Mansion. Louis just stood transfixed, staring at their retreating back view.
He immediately felt broken. For God's sake, what had he done to her? He didn't mean to make her sad or unhappy. He was sorry.
"I didn't mean anything back then, Louis Hayden. And if you think I ruined your relationship with Pamela, I'm sorry" Tarvan declared and walked away.
As soon as they got in, Clarion sat Pamela down and stared at her. She doesn't understand what is happening between them both.
At her age and experience in life, she knows when two people are in love with each other. Louis and Pamela are still in love with each other.
"I still love him, grandma. I love Louis Hayden so much. Why can't I get my happiness back? Louis is my life and happiness,
grandma" Pamela sobbed.
Clarion just stared at her with moist eyes. Had she done something wrong by asking Pamela to stay away from Louis?
Had she committed a similar offence like Leah by separating two lovers from each other? She's certain about Louis' feelings for Pamela.
But she didn't know that her granddaughter's heart was still beating for him. What on earth had she done?
"Why didn't you tell me that you still love him? I would have supported you getting back with him. I wouldn't mind getting you both closer to each other.
But now, everything is going to be difficult. You are already involved with Fred Meyer. How can he trust you again to make you his bride?" Clarion demanded amidst tears.
"It's not true. Fred Meyer and I have nothing together. I said slutty words to Louis to make him feel Jealous and furious that I slept with someone else.
It's all lies. I can't do that with anyone else besides Louis. No man is attractive enough to make me desire him except Louis. I'm just tired, grandma, I'm fed up" Pamela explained, helplessly.
Clarion hugged her. "Then get back with him. Do all you can and get your man back" she advised. The way things are now, if Pamela doesn't get Louis back, she might be unhappy for many years.
She made a mistake many years ago when she didn't support her daughter's choice of a man. Now that another opportunity is staring her in the face, she isn't going to waste it.
When Louis arrived at the office, Ellis came over to see his son. It's been a few days and he couldn't bring his face before him.
He lost his happiness. Leah doesn't understand but he does. If the centre between Louis and his mother hadn't fallen apart, he was certain he would have told her already.
Louis raised his head to glance at the person who walked in without being permitted and he locked eyes with his dad. He sighed softly and suspended what he was doing and kept his gaze fixed on his dad.
"Son" Ellis chimed, taking a seat and staring back at his son. He needed to sweet tongue him into understanding why he did what he did.
"I don't feel like talking to you dad," Louis declared . His eyes went dark. How can his dad show so much love to his Mom and yet, he has a mistress and fathered kids with her.
"I know that I failed you. But you are a man, you should be able to reason with me and understand why things went this way"Ellis coaxed.
"What should I understand or reason with you on? You are a married man, dad. Mom loves you and you cheated on her? Why did you do it?" Louis demanded.
"You can't blame me if you have no idea of how I have paddled through life all these years, Louis. I didn't know that Leah would eventually suggest a surrogacy. I didn't know we would have the Quadruplets, I didn't know that…" Elli was trying to explain further when Louis interrupted him.
"Spare me that crap, dad. Maxwell And Arabella had been born. You already have them years before the issue of…" Louis was yelling at his dad when the door opened.
They both turned in the direction of the door and there stood Leah Hayden, her fingers intertwined with each other, staring at the father and son pair.
"Who is Maxwell and Arabella?" Leah heard herself asking.
