Chapter 113: Chapter 113

Ellis was dazed. How can his son say such vulgar words to him? Louis knowing about his other family was going to be a bad sign that things might not go as easy as he thought.

He sighed. How can he tell Celina Delmark that he was leaving? How about his kids? These children had lived with this understanding that he has a family and an elderly son.

Now, he was thinking about fixing Maxwell next to his brother and Louis discovered his affairs. How did he know?

"Mom, how long are we going to live in secrecy? Isn't it enough, this game of hide and seek is choking me. I can't take it anymore" Maxwell complained.

He and his sister are illegitimate children. Why did their mother choose this kind of destiny for them? Dad's eldest son called and he was fidgeting.

But if he or his sister scream, he wouldn't even glance at them. He arrived the previous evening and he probably might return that day or the next.

Don't they mean anything to him? Did he love Louis, his eldest son more than them? In what way did he father Louis that he didn't father them?

"I'm sorry that I have to choose this life for you. Ellis didn't tell me he would play with my emotions like this" Celina mumbled.

She sniffled. Arabella has nothing to say. The only thing she had learnt from her mother's mistakes is that she would never condescend to be a mistress to any man.

No matter how they choose the words to use, her mother is a mistress to her dad. She's simply an object of sexual satisfactions and baby making.

Dad has nothing to offer her. She would never be accepted by society for having affairs with a married man and having kids with him.

She will be a respectable woman. She would marry a man that loves her and openly confesses his love for her. She would birth and raise legitimate children. She would never tread the paths of shame her mother trod.

Ellis returned and didn't say anything to anyone. He handed over Celina's phone to her and there was an unexplainable kind of quietness between them.

The happy mood got soiled. Ellis drove them to a grocery store to buy things, but to his utmost surprise, none of them was interested in getting anything.

They went to a boutique, an eatery, trying to do something to excite them but none of them took anything. Suddenly Maxwell asked "Are you trying to bribe us now?"

Ellis sighed. This is finding himself between the rock and a hard place. Louis is one tough guy and Maxwell is not an easy one either.

"I'm not trying to bribe you. I'm only making up for the times I lost. Is that what you mistook for bribery?" Ellis explained.

"Who asked you for it, dad? I am tired of following you around like a toddler. Can we go home now?" Maxwell sneered.

Ellis was lost.

Lucas went to pick Alice from work that evening. He went in the direction of the address that Louis had sent him.

"I'll be meeting Louis Hayden one on one for the first time" Alice commented, peeling a banana and taking it to Lucas' mouth for a bite.

Lucas bent over and took a bite. He chewed and swallowed before saying "If you get close to Louis, you'll know he is not that scary guy that he appeared to be from afar"

They arrived at the West side hotel and saw two bodyguards waiting to take them to the top floor where Louis made a reservation. It's a five star hotel and it's a new hotel in town.

They arrived at the top floor and found Louis Hayden waiting just outside the elevator. When he saw Lucas, he hugged him "I missed you Lucas" Louis chimed.

"Missed you more, bro" Lucas responded, both men holding each other in a tight hug.

"Hello doctor Alice" Romeo showed courtesy. Looks like Alice and Lucas had really created a romance between them and from the looks, it would last forever.

"Hello" Alice said, taking Romeo's hands. She smiled, exposing a beautiful dental setting. She has this smile that is contagious.

"Nice meeting you doctor Alice '' Louis said, hugging her at arm's length and planting a featherlight kiss on her temple.

"My pleasure, President Hayden," Alice said, bowing slightly before him. Lucas took Alice's hand again as Louis said "You guys, come with me"

Louis led them into a large room, made up of transparent walls. It has a large circular desk with seats arranged around it.

The room is a mini conference room. It could accommodate ten persons conveniently and it's air conditioned. From that height, they could see the buzzling streets of Oak City and the briskly steps of people, walking the pedestrians.

The cars are going smoothly around the roundabout. The bright shining street lights and the great structures constructed in the City.

Hayden's cooperation was a few distance away from the hotel. It's one of the high storey buildings that they could see afar.

As they sat down, Alice liked the hotel. It's one of the best hotels she'd seen in Oak City. Maybe because it's new, it's structure was unique from every other.

You could get into the hotel from an entrance and exit from another route without glancing at the same sides of the structure twice.

There was a section for massages. Alice was already interested in visiting that place soon. There were large and private swimming pools. She was glancing around and admiring the environment when Lucas said "This hotel is heavenly" he commented.

"Do you know who owns the hotel?" Alice asked, glancing at Romeo. The latter just chuckled and said nothing.

"Pamela owns it," Louis answered.

"Wow, my Pamela. She never said anything to me about it" Alice chimed.

"She doesn't know yet. I bought it for her, intending to give it to her on her birthday. But three days to her birthday, I went into a coma that made me lose her in my memory" Louis explained, his tone filled with helplessness.

There was silence. But quickly, Louis restored the liveliness by saying "Before I say anything, let's have dinner first" he declared.

At the same time, Pamela drove into the vast compound of the same hotel where Louis was having dinner with his friends…
