Chapter 111: Chapter 111

Pamela glared at the woman. She's a woman. Her physical features portrayed her as one. She was hesitating but summoned courage and rolled down the glasses.

Pamela's heart was beating fast. She glared at the woman standing and staring at her. She cannot see her face, it was covered in a veil.

Pamela still held her phone and for some seconds, didn't know what to say to the woman before her.

Sister Susan's eyes were already wet with tears. She glared at her daughter. This is the second time in her twenty eight years that she would set her eyes on her.

She glared at Pamela. She's so beautiful, more beautiful than she appears in pictures. She looks very much like her. But those eyes and hair were all Linus'.

Her bowels for compassion, her innate motherly affection let loose. She wanted to stretch her hands and cupped her face in her gloved hands and kissed her temple.

This is her daughter. The little baby was only chanced to see through dizziness as her soul attempted to leave her body. She never saw her again except in pictures.

Her face was covered in tears already. But thank goodness, she was covering a veil. Pamela cannot see her face, she only could see her.

Pamela still didn't get a word to say to the woman standing just outside her car. Her phone is still in her hand. King Tarvan's picture was displayed on the screen of her car.

Sister Susana saw the displayed picture on Pamela's phone and her heart was beating so hard. Dad had really shown signs of being elderly, he is an old man now.

How will mother look? She yearned for her parents again. They're still alive. They thought Alice was dead. Would they be able to accept the reality of it some day?

"Alice died and Clarion also died. How can I cope seeing my daughters dying? This is really hard for me…" Tarvan kept talking.

"Grandpa, I'm sure my mother is happy in heaven. She's watching over us from the stars. She wouldn't let anything happen to us…"Pamela soon concluded and hung up.

Sister Susana felt her voice choking. In heaven, among the stars? Oh, this is getting too much. So much request going to the creator on the behalf of her.

And yet, the Alice they thought was in heaven and watching over them was actually standing by her daughter, staring at her. What an irony.

"Excuse me, what do you want?" Pamela asked. For every second that passed as the woman stood outside her car, she felt an unexplainable kind of familiarity between herself and the woman.

"I'm sister Susana. I would like you to meet me tonight" She declared and gave Pamela a card. Pamela just threw it on her dashboard and asked "Who are you and why should I meet you?"

"I think you should come. Aren't you Alice Johnson's daughter?" Sister Susana asked, glad she has this beautiful daughter for Linus.

"Yes. Do you know my mom?" Pamela asked but Sister Susana turned and left. She had wet her appetite, it only meant the young woman would come.

Pamela stepped out of her car in her high heels just as Sister Susana stepped back into the car. Margaret was behind the steering and Susana sat next to her.

Margaret saw Pamela coming and she whispered "She's a spitting image of you, mother" she immediately fell in love with Pamela.

"The creator is praised for leaving an image of me to my parents" Sister Susana declared. She sighed and saw her daughter tapping on the glass next to her.

"Should I roll down the glass?" Margaret asked and Susana shrugged. She pressed the automated button and the glasses rolled down.

"Excuse me, hmm, sister Susana, do you know Alice Johnson? She was my mom" Pamela asked, feeling agitated. She hadn't met anyone who knows her Mom in Oak City except this woman.

Susana nodded. She was sobbing. Her daughter was curious to know that she knows her mother. Why can her heart not recognise her immediately when she sets her eyes on her.

Not receiving an answer, Pamela asked again "Have we met before? It seemed to me that I've known you for a long time" she said.

She cannot understand why these sets of Nun wouldn't unveil her faces. She's also a woman after all. Why veiling before someone of the same gender like them?.

At this time, Susana's tears dropped and Margaret saw it. "Tonight by 7pm that address" she declared and rolled up the glasses again.

She didn't wait another minute before she took off. As soon as they left, Susana lifted her veil "Her mind really recognised me. She already has this familiarity with me" Susana said amidst tears.

She cleaned her tears and smiled. Margaret turned and glanced at her briefly before saying "I'm glad you are able to step out today. You'll meet her once again"

"Thank you Margaret. Many years have passed. I'm stepping out for the first time in a long time" Susana responded.

She didn't intend to break her vow and step out to see the world. But she had to do it, take a temporary break and put this in order.

She wants to know how her mom was doing. Who knows, Margaret might be telling the truth. Her mother's tears might be knocking on the gates of heaven.

And only Pamela will not recognise her yet. But if she comes before her mom, her voice might sell her off. Her emotions might expose her and then, she wouldn't be able to return to the hermit.

Pamela walked back to her car and glanced at the car disappearing into the distance. "Weird, these ladies are weird," Pamela mumbled.
