" where is my son ?! " a voice called behind as a woman walked up to us...I froze for a while, looking at the lady in a black jumpsuit and a pair of stiletto heels approach us. She was slender and tall so much that she could pass as a model if no one knew she was married cause she looked so much like an elder sister to chris..she was really beautiful and her accent gave way to know that she couldn't have possibly been a Nigerian...

I was wowed...maybe that was why I frozed...no it's not you fish !!! You froze because you scared someone must have rattled you out and she'll possibly rip your throat for hurting her son  my subconscious snapped at me

" good day madam !" The male doctor greeted not before us anyway as he approached her to tell her about Chris's condition. He seemed to have assured her that it was nothing to worry about too much cause the way she sat calmed disclosed everything

" good day mam'm " Jeremy, tunde and i greeted her. She nods her head approvingly as she replies

" are you students, toby's classmates?" She asked

" yes ma..and we're sorry for this happening..." tunde said

"....no no no....it's okay, it's not like you're at fault or he's dead so you don't have to say sorry " she said smiling

Am at fault here

Soon a girl about my age had come in staring at us inquisitivly as she sat beside the lady who was Chris mum...she was as beautiful as his mum and when she spoke she sounded just like her mum

" is he okay mum ? "She asked peering at her mum and allowing her gaze to wander around

" he's okay dear...doctor says he'd be fine soon " Chris mum replied with a smile

" okay...uh...so who are...."

" they are his friends from school " his mum replied cutting the girl off as the girl gave a light chuckle

" didn't know toby could ever make friends " she said beaming at us  " hi! Am layla....toby's sister " she said stretching out her hands for a handshake

" am Christy....chris' s classmates " I replied as she beamed widely

" oooh...matching names...I'm sure he'd love you "she said with a wink as I smiled shaking her outstretched hand

" he's a typical douche anyway " I replied immediately realizing that i just called her brother a douche as she smiled widely at me

" I think i already love you " she said making me smile. It was nice she didn't take offense in my statement and to say...I think i love her vibe already

" am Olatunde Ayemi " tunde said taking her hands and placing a light kiss on it which earned him a slap at the back of his head

" ode ! Behave...her mum is here " Jeremy said smirking at him as tunde groaned

" And am Jeremy princewill....nice clothes layla " he said giving her a wink as  i rolled my eyes and tunde scoffed while layla laughed. It was obvious that the guys were trying to flirt with her...and it was a relief that she wasn't falling for the trick...

" it's so nice meeting all of you. Like no wonder toby would have you guys as friends " she said smiling

" christy!!!!" I hear someone yell my name as I groaned turning back to see shola coming up to me. She was looking worried as she approached me

" shola!!! "I called as she stopped in front of me

" Bubbie said you were going to the hospital so I came to check on you all" she said

To think we had a beef today....

" Awwwwn....thanks shola meanwhile Chris is going to get better soon. the doctor said so " I replied genuinely

" I know right....so "

"Shola am sorry " I say nervously as she touched my face with the back of her hands

"Are you okay.. " she asked as I sighed. She knew I didn't like telling someone sorry and to think after our quarrel I would probably never talk to her again

" Shola am serious....I shouldn't have even....infact i just behaved like a hypocrite and I'm sooo sorry " I said as she smiled

" it's okay to crush on him and after all you didn't give him a reply...I was just so mad that you kept getting annoyed over something which wasn't much of an issue " she replied

" I know right. Besides the sisters before misters rule, am going to abide with it from now on genuinely " I said crossing my heart

" of course and what do sisters before misters do to church rats like Andrew ?" She asked giving me a mischevious look

" they play games " I replied smiling evily with shola

" that's my baby icy" she said as we both burst out laughing....I missed her infact all my friends

" Shola you're evil " I say still laughing

" if you don't learn it wetin you gain ?"she asked as we both laughed again

" anyway...let's not keep secrets again....no lemme rephrase that " she said as i chuckled

" christiana david please avoid keeping boy secrets to yourself esp when we are still alive " she says as we burst out laughing

" I hear ma.speaking of secrets " I say then leaning closer to her ear I whispered

" I'm the reason why Chris is being hospitalized " I say as her eyes widened

I tell her everything as she shook her head smiling

" you must be more evil...pray let his mom and sister not even find out " she says as I nod

" abi " just then her phone rings out as she checked the caller id it was bubbie. So we decided to put it on a loud speaker

"Wats up you retard " shola yells into the phone as we all laughed

" soon I'd call you that if you don't start making plans of getting your ass to class " she says

" what's happening there ?" I asked

" you dummy it's test...english test " bubbie says as we sighed

" bubbie try putting up a show okay...I don't think I'm ready for that test "

"Well...no one is but miss joy is a character " bubbie replied as we groan

" then how about everyone putting up a show cause they also aren't ready ?" I ask as bubbie huffed

"Okay let's just pray this will happen "she says yelling into the phone

" see y'all douches "she says turning the phone off as both shola and i laugh at bubbie's madness.

Later on I get to introduce shola to chris sister and they seemed to flow well...it was after 6pm and Chris mum cajoled us to go home while she would look after Chris. We bade her goodbye promising to visit the next day hopefully he'll be discharged...
