Chapter 32: Chapter 32
I woke up the next morning, and the first thing I did was untangle Alex's arm that was slumped around my waist before turning around to face him. I glanced at his face and smiled a little, admiring his features, starting from his perfect structured jawline, and onto to his soft lips that felt like heaven when pressed against mine. He's good looking but got anger issues.
"Morning, Rina." I narrowed my eyes as he flickered his eyes open.
"So you're awake?" I made a face and he flashed me a grin Everything that happened last night came crashing down the instance I got up and I hugged myself a little before clutching my hands together. Should I tell him? No, no way. First it was Henry, now Terry? He'll never let it go. He'll never let them live. I stood up amd walked towards the door.
"Why are you leaving early?" Alex asked as I let out a gasp and turned to face him.
" I have to take a shower and eat. I am hungry."
"What's the rush? You can always join me in the shower, Rina. I won't mind."
"I will let it pass. Thanks." I murmured, blushing slightly as I struggled to push him away, a smirk appear on his lips.
"too bad then." He took a step back, turning around and revealing his back, the toned muscles on his back flexing as he stretched a little.
"Get ready, I am taking you out today." He said finally, slumping on a towel and I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Where?"
'You'll see."

I tied my hair into a ponytail and looked out, waiting for Alex, who was by the way, late. He probably had something to do. I used this chance to breathe in the fresh air. I stopped when I noticed Alex finally coming out of the house, wearing a grey t shirt with black jeans . I really like his dressing sense and it suits his personality. Oh my god, Rina, stop obsessing over nothing.
"Let's go." He said , not even apologizing but then again, this is Alex Ivanov we're talking about.
He stopped in front of the huge shopping Mall and we stepped out. I mentally groaned when some girls started huddling around Alexander, whispering, giggling and squealing in excitement, all at once too, if that was even possible.
"Disgusting." I scoffed at them causing Alex to smirk at me. " Jealous nuch? " He teased me making the girls around him glare at me.
"I know right, why do girls even act like that? It's not even like they're anything special and-never mind" I stopped when I noticed Elena making her way with James putting an arm around his neck, as if she was letting the girls know that he was taken. Weird, is she happy now? I walked a few metres away from them.
"Not my problem, myself-" I grumbled to myself and stopped when I heard someone chuckle from behind, causing me to spin around to face Elliott, my high school friend.
"You never change, do you?" he let out a laugh . I jumped onto him and hugged him.
"Where have you been?!" I asked, pulling away and he grinned in response.
"Where have I been? I got enrolled in Harvard and going there. I am on leave today. How have you been?" He shook his head, his bright emerald green eyes boring into mine as I let out a sigh. I pouted and stopped when I noticed Alex, staring at me while James and Elena giggled, his eyes burning holes through my face as I flinched a little. Did I do something wrong?
I gave Elliott a weak smile, trying to ignore Alex, who was still leaning against a wall and staring at us, next to the Mall we were supposed to go in.
"Fine, I guess."
"Are you free right now? Because we can just have a coffee or-"
"That's enough." Alex suddenly appeared and pushed him back.
"Alex!" I snapped before helping Elliott to get up but he pulled me back and placed an arm around my shoulders swiftly.
"What the fuck, man," Elliott stopped dead in his tracks as soon as he face Alex and he scurried away.
"What was that for?!" I jerked myself away and glared at Alex, who gave me an expressionless look before shrugging it off ignorantly.
"Not my fault he ran away for no reason." He raised a brow. James and Elena laugh from the back, as if they've been watching this little show the entire time.
"You're childish,Alex." I turned to look at Alex. He opened his mouth to say something but stopped, his eyes landed on my neck as I narrowed my eyes at him. Within seconds, his facial expressions changed from a blank look to pure anger as I flinched a little.
"What the fuck is that?!" he spat through gritted teeth, his jaw line clenching as I looked at him on confusion.
"What?" I stiffened as his eyes never left my neck and I swallowed the lump in my throat when he took a step forward. I know he is mad, obviously, but why?
"What is on your neck Rina?!" He suddenly yelled, making everyone, including me jump up a little.
"What are you talking about-" His words hit like a thousand bricks and for the next few seconds, I just stood stiff in my position, a hand making its way up to my neck. Don't tell me that...it was because of last night? It has to be Terry.
" Tell me, Rina, who the fuck did that?!" My thoughts were cut off and I gasped when he grabbed my hand, yanking me forward.
"Alex, calm down, we're in the middle of the fuckin road."
"Let's go inside somewhere to talk about, we can't do this here."
"I'm sure Rina has an explanation, so chill for a minute and-" Elena tried to intervene.
"If you guys don't shut the fuck up right now, I'll bash both of your heads to a fucking wall, am I fucking clear?!" He angrily spat, tightening the grip around my wrist and I held in a whimper before trying to free myself from his grip.
"We're going home," He said and looked at me.
"Alex-"
"Stop that." He hissed while pulling me closer . I gasped as I stood still. Before I could say anything, Alex picked me up in his arms and I gripped his shirt tightly when my head started to spin, my surrounding become more and more blurry by each passing second. The next thing I knew, we had already arrived right in front of the mansion. He then kicked the door open and we're in his room within seconds. What should I do? What should I say?
"Tell me who did that?" he demanded, his voice turning just a bit soft . I opened my mouth to say something but decided to keep it shut.
"Was in David? Joey? Franklin?" He assked as he took a step forward and I backed away knowing there is no way out for me.
"No! Alex, it's nothing, I didn't even see a hickey..." I tried to keep a straight face.
"huh, really?" He asked sarcastically while pulling me towards the dressing table. I froze when I stared at the mirror, touching the red mark where Terry had his mouth on last night. How did I not see that this morning?!
"I-I-"
"I-I, what?!" he cut me off, grabbing my wrist and spinning me around to face him. Calm down, Rina. I had no chance of getting away with a lie.
"Rina?!"
"I don't know okay? I don't know where I got it from..." I said while trying to yank my hand away but his hold is stronger.
"Really? So what is then, hunh?"
"I don't know? It's probably not a hickey, alright?"
"Are you fucking kidding me? Quit playing around with me, Rina, I know what a fucking hickey looks like!" He yelled, his eyes growing a shade darker.
"So, cut the bullshit, Rina, and tell me the truth. Now." He took a step forward, squeezing my wrists and I inhaled deeply .
"I really don't know how I got it okay?"
"If you weren't on Vervain right now, I would have compelled you into telling the truth. Count yourself lucky, right now." His voice started to get more cold and I flinched a little before boring into his eyes.
"Alex-"
"No, shut up. I gave you a chance to speak out the truth but you wasted it. So I'll do it my way." And with that, he released his grip and turned around to leave, causing a shiver down my spine.
"Wait, what do you mean?"
"I know one of my brothers did it, my bets are on David." he stopped, glancing back at me and my eyes widened when I noticed the hatred filling in his eyes.
"Wa-wait!" I yelled and bolted up to him before he could open the door. "He didn't do it, I swear!" I defended him, stepping in front of Alex and grabbing his shirt.
"And why should I believe you?" he masked on an expressionless look and I bit my bottom lip hesitantly before shaking my head.
"Because-I know." I looked up at him and his eyes swiftly left my lips and returned back to my eyes, making my heart skip a beat.
"I put up with your lies for a while, Rina. So now, you only have five seconds to tell me the truth," he warned, taking a small step forward and my eyes widened in fear. "Five, four, three." with each number he counted down, he took a small step forward and I instinctively took one back, But I can't tell him, what if-
"Two, on-"
"It was Terry!" I blurted out, I saw Alex's movement come to a sudden stop before a void of emotions seen in his eyes, making me cower in fear.
"What did you say?"
"Terry, he-"
"How the hell did he touch you in the first place?!" He spat with his hands balled into a fist in anger.
"He-he-last night, he suddenly appeared out of nowhere and-"
"Last night?" Alex's eyes widened in surprise before he shook his head in disbelief. "Fuck that, you're lying. You were with me, Rina, the whole fucking time." He backed me against the door, caging me in his arms.
"I'm telling the truth! I went downstairs to get water and he was there-"
"Then why the fuck did you not tell me, huh?!" he snapped, slamming his hand on the door, making me gasp .
"I was scared...that you might do something to him-"
"Screw that, you're supposed to tell me!" He cut me off and I shook my head.
"I didn't want you to hurt him, Alex-"
"Well fuck what you want, Rina. He's going to get it this time. And no, you don't get to have a say in this so shut up." He leaned his face closer to mine, the anger flickering in his eyes .
"Please, can you just calm down? I'm sorry, I'm sorry for not telling you but I was sacred. I didn't want this to happen, Alex . I don't want you to harm him."
"Well, too bad," Alex said coldly, backing away. "Move, I'll be back." He said shortly and was about to push me aside when I grabbed his hand.
"Don't! Alex, please? Just calm down first and tell me what's going on between you two? why he's doing this. What he want from me?" I asked him as Alex shot me one last glare before pushing my hand harshly.
"You don't have to know anything. All you need to know is that you need to stay away from him." His words made my blood boil.
"No, tell me. I want to know now. Why? Why is he after me?" I questioned, stepping in front of him and folding my hands across my chest.
"Rina, move. You're cute and all that shit when you're mad, but right now, you're really starting to get on my nerves.
"I don't care, tell me." I stood my ground, despite Alex clenching his jaw before letting out a huff in frustration.
"No."
"Tell me, why? Why, Alex? What does he want from me?" I asked him again, raising my voice.
"You don't have to fucking know, alright?" he said impatiently, but I could tell them he was getting more and more frustrated.
"Tell me!" I snapped, not wanting to let it go this time.
"Because, he's going to use you to kill me, alright?! And after that, he's going to kill you too, Rihana, why can't you fucking see that?!" He suddenly yelled, grabbing both my wrists and jerking me towards him. My heart almost ripped out of my chest and I just stood still, staring into his eyes as he stared back at me as well.
"Rihana...?" Who's Rihana?"
