Henry was still down. I looked up and my eyes widened i shock to see Alex, he clenched his fists as his jawline gets tighter and hate filling his eyes completely, making his eyes pitch black. A cold shiver ran down my spine upon seeing alex like this. He's about to kill anyone who goes against him now.

"Alex, wait-" I tried to stop him but it was too late by then. Alex rushes up to Henry, who was now getting up. Before he could even stand on hia feet fully, Alex punched him again, sending him stumbling back down. I can hear the sound of bones cracking. My eyes widened in horror as Alex towered over him and started punching him again and again. Throwing his fist at him repeatedly, punch after punch, blow after blow at Henry.

"Don't ever fucking touch her. She's mine. Mine alone!" he spat, growling and started punching him again. I wonder if Vampires even faint. Poor Henry! He tried to kill ne and I pity him. I ran towards him.

" "Stop! Alex!" I yelled, bending down and grabbed his right arm but he pushed them away, making me fall back in the process. Another punch. I couldn't take it any longer.he really was going to kill him.

"I'm begging you, Alex, stop! You're going to kill him!" This time I screamed, hoping someone would already hear me and come upstairs. But due to loud music, nobody can hear anything.

I tried to somehow pull Henry away from Alex but a hand grabbed my hands tightly so hard that I let out a painful whin before I was roughly pushed aside from Henry.

"You stay the fuck away from him, or I swear that he's not the only one beaten up tonight!" Alex angrily threatened me. but I knew those were just mere words. He can't beat me. His eyes had turned completely pitch black as he was about to punch Henry again. I jumped myself at Alex, causing him to fall with me on top of him. I immediately sat up straight, wrapping my legs around his torso.

"Stop-" I cupped his cheek before he could open his mouth to yell at me as I leaned closer to him. "Please, Alex, calm down." I begged, tears glistening in my eyes as I tried to calm him down.

"You better get off me before I end up doing something to you too, Rina."

"Stop, just stop!" I cried as soon as he tried to get up and pushed him back down . I started to kiss him on his lips as tears roll down my cheeks. I was scared and afraid that he will kill Henry because of me.

My heart melted when he finally kissed me back, painfully slow, as if he was trying to fight back and conceal his anger. He reciprocated and kissed my lips. This felt so right. He was being so gentle and slow, as if he was trying to push all his feelings into the kiss. I had to pull away due to lack of breathe and rested my forehead against his as we starred into each other's eyes, searching for something inside them. I smiled a little when he closed his eyes in exhaustion. The anger he had in his eyes had gone, making me sigh in relief. One kiss, just one kiss was all it took to calm him down. Who knew the devil could be tamed?

"Go to my room, now." He said finally, fluttering his eyes open and standing up as I stood up.

"You-you won't do anything right?" I asked while looking at Henry, who was now lying down unconsciously.

"No promises." He finally muttered and I gave him a pleading look but he kept his gaze on Henry.

"Don't do it, Alex. It's enough, he's already-"

"I said," he turned to look at me. "No fucking promises." He growled and spat at the same time, making me flinch.

"Please, I-" I gasped when he grabbed my wrist and roughly jerked me closer to him.

"I said go! " He finally gave me a long look before releasing his grip and without any delay, I left, my eyes not leaving Henry as I made my way to Alex's room.

I paced around his room for hours and finally gave up, plopping down on his bed and bringing a pillow closer to my lips. What will happen to Henry? Would Alex kill him? I hooe he won't.

After what seemed like forever, the door finally opened and Apex came in.

"Where is Henry? Did you let him go? You didn't beat him up again, did you?" I asked him running up to him as he marched towards the bathroom.

"Please, Alex, I can't sleep tonight if-" Alex suddenly hissed.

"Get yourself to bed before I make you." He spoke softly yet had a warning tone in it. He stripped his shirt and was in a towel when i knocked his bathroom.

"Alex, you're being-"

"Wanna join me? " He smirks at me.

"No!" I snapped, blushing furiously before marching my way to the bed. I heard Alex chuckle lightly before the bathroom door was shut close.

A few minutes passed before Alex walked out with a towel loosely wrapped around his lower hip, revealing his V-line.

"Like what you see?" I immediately snapped my head towards the wall in front of me, tightening the hands I had across my chest as I straightened my posture. He didn't even look at me.

I cleared my throat louder but he ignored me again.

"What, Rina?" he finally groaned, turning around as I closed my mouth shut.

"Now that I've gained your attention." I started, turning to face Alex, who was wearing a black and grey Shorts and shirtless.

"Did you do anything to Henry?"

"You don't have to worry about him! If anything, you should be grateful that I let him live after what he did to you!" he suddenly snapped, but for someone reason, I was more relieved than scared.

"Thank god, so he's alive." I smiled when Alex shot me a deadly glare. If only looks can kill, I would have been dead a long time ago.

" Now sleep, Barbie doll." He said before the lights were turned off, making my heart skip a beat. I lay on the bed. After a while ,bed sunk in as Alex laid on the tossing half of the bedsheet around my body. With a small gulp, I started to move closer to the edge of the bed but a cold hand wrapped around my waist, holding me in place. I groaned and felt his chest vibrating as he let out a deep chuckle, pressing his chest against my back.

"You're cold, just let me sleep in my room."

"No."

"Alex-"

"No."

"But-"

"No."

I huffed in anger .

"You're annoying." I grumbled, and he nuzzled in the crook of my neck, sending shivers down my spine.

"You're beautiful." It sounded as if he was countering my insult back with a compliment. I blushed slightly, relieved that he wasn't able to see my embarrassed form.

"Damn, calm down Rina, it was just a compliment." He laughed a short laugh as I dug my nails in his arm that were tightly wrapped around my waist.

"I wasn't even blushing-"

"Then explain why your heart was beating so fast ?" he interrupted me.

"It's because you're close and-" I froze when he kissed my neck, so softly and gently, sending goosebumps all over my body. "Alex, don't..."

"I won't." he placed another kiss before wrapping his leg around mine, making me stiffen in my position. I felt so scared, yet so secure inside his arms, his body pressed against mine. It just felt right. But it's not supposed to, right?

"Alex?"

"Hmm?"

"Please tell me you let Henry go, it's the only way I can sleep..." I gripped his hand and my breath hitched when he tightened the grip around my body, if that was even possible.

"I did. Now go to sleep." He sounded hesitant but I believed him.

"Thank you," I breathed and he simply hummed at my response. "I don't know why you and Terry hate each other so much but it's really starting to get me curious and-" I shut my mouth when Alex hissed in my ears.

"Rina, it's late, I'm tired. " He grumbled, clearly mad that I was asking too many questions.

"But I-"

"So unless you want me to consider ripping your clothes off right here, right now and fucking you to sleep rather than letting you off, go to sleep now." That made me shut mu mouth. My body was now burning hot as his words rang through my mind a million times. He wouldn't actually want to do it with me right? Wait, why do I keep having thoughts like this? This is crazy, it's not like I even have feelings for him, what was I thinking?

After a few more minutes of talks with myself, I dozed off

I blinked a few times before letting out a soft groan, my throat was dry. Water, a glass of water. I was about to push Alex's arm off of me when he tightened the grip, pulling my body even closer before he let out a soft moan.

"Where're you going?" he asked huskily, causing the butterflies in my stomach to go on a rampage.

"To grab a glass of water." I murmured, once again attempting to brush his hands away .

"Just stay."

"Alex, I just need a glass of water, I'll be right back." I mumbled impatiently.

"You have five minutes." he was still half asleep. As soon as he unwrapped his arm, I stood up and quickly walked out of the room, my eyes trying to adjust to the dim light. The place was a mess but nobody seemed to be around and I lazily made my way to the dining room, taking my time. After drinking full two glasses of water, I started to make my way out but froze when I saw a dark figure, standing right in front of the door.

"David?" I called out and the dark figure took a step forward.

"God, you scared me, don't just stand there like a ghost." I stated with annoyance and watched him take another step forward.

"That's not how you react when you see a ghost, sweetheart." My heart froze for a while as I mouthed the words "no" silently . Terry appeared in front of me, causing me to gasp and take a step back.

"Hel-" my screams were muffled almost immediately as a hand covered my mouth.

"Shut the fuck up and keep quiet!" Terry snapped, grabbing my face and forcing me to meet his eyes. Tears glistened in my eyes as I followed his order, already under one of his sick compulsions again.

"Please..." I choked out when he slowly wrapped an arm around my shoulders from the back, making me question his intimidating behavior.

"Sweetheart, tou didn't do what i asked you. you put my brother Henry in trouble with Alex and warming up to him again. It pisses me off." He finally said through gritted teeth.

"You compelled me...I never wanted to do it.." I replied about the wooden box.

"Ah, but you begged for your freedom, which is why I assigned you to the task."

"You tricked me!"

"And you pissed me off." He spat and hissed at my ears, making me cower in fear.

"What do you want from me? What do you want from, Alex? Why are you doing this, Terry?" I asked him pleadingly.

"Why don't you ask Alex, sweetheart? I'm surprised he still haven't told you about me." He chuckled deeply. My breath got hitched when he pressed his lips against my neck, slightly tugging on my skin and . A whimper slipped through my lips and I gasp when I felt him smirk against my skin.

"You're so hard to resist, I can see why Alex is so attached to you." He mumbled, suddenly sucking on my skin, making me freeze for a few seconds before jerking myself away.

"Leave me alone, Terry! Whatever you have with Alex, settle it with him, just leave me alone!" I raised my voice, turning around to face him and gasped when he suddenly disappeared, making my whole body tremble in fear. On realizing that he had left, I brushed away a tear that had rolled down my cheek and rushed back to Alex's room. I immediately got inside the sheets and into his arms.

"You took more than five minutes." Alex mumbled in his sleepy voice, wrapping an arm around my trembling body as I pulled myself closer to his chest and clutched my hands together from trembling in fear.

"You're shaking, what's wrong?" He asked with a concern.

" I saw a rat downstairs." I lied, scolding myself for not coming up with a better one but luckily Alex seemed to buy it.

"See, this is why you should've listened to me and stayed in bed. " He pulled me closer, my nose touching his solid hard chest as I blinked away the tears. Honestly, if he wasn't holding me like this right now, I would have broken down by now.

"Yes, I really should've stayed with him."
