I opened my eyes and panicked as I was wrapped around my waist by a man. Then yesterday night events came rushing to my mind. I then moved the sheets away from my body

"Did something happen last night?" I pondered. I checked myself though I knew nothing happened. No, nothing happened. We slept after he refused to let me meet my parents. I slowly but carefully got down without waking him up. I hope he won't be up anytime soon. I open the door in utmost silence. The moment I stepped out, David came there. His face of full of shock and pain.

"Good morning,David." I greeted him politely and walked past him . But he blocked my way as he looke at me intensely from head to toe.

"Di-did you sleep with him?" he asked bitterly. I just nod my head.

"I have to take bath.now excuse me." I said and walked towards my room when I heard footsteps following me behind.

" Now what? " I asked him annoyed with his constant nagging.

"So, did anything happen last night?" David asked me , I narrowed my eyes at him before I reach my room door.

" Anything happen? you and Alex.." he uttered the words rather painfully as I stared at him in confusion before sighing. He is thinking I slept with Alex.

"Why do you pretend like you care about me, David..?" I asked angrily . I turned to my room door and twisted the knob open when he grabbed me by my shoulders. He turned me around and I come face to face with him. I stared at his piercing blue eyes. His eyes are beautiful but Alex eyes are gorgeous and the emotions his eyes reflect is no match.

"I do care." He said, emphasizing each and every word . Lie lie. I frowned at him.

" Oh really, then why? Why me? " I asked him as he moved uncomfortably. "Why David " I asked him again but he looks gloomy.What was wrong with him? Did he actually has feelings for me?

"David, I don't want to misled you.." I trailed off while opening the door slightly as he looks confused. " I don't like you that way, so I don't want you to think like that.."

"Excuse me?" He said as it dawned upon him what I am trying to say. He walked towards me and we are now just inches away."Woah, wait. So, you think I like you ?" he asked me in disbelief making me embarrassed with what I said to him.

"Whatever " I rushed inside and try to the door on his face when he stepped inside with a grin. "I'm sorry. I just assumed..." I turned away from him.

" That's it? you don't even want to clear it?" He asked me amused by my words.

"I am going to take bath, please get out." I said as I turned him around and pushing him towards the door. The smile on his face didn't go until I gave him one last push. With that he went out and I closed the door and heaved a sigh of relief.

"Oh god, please help me to survive from this embarrassment." I groaned. While bathing, I couldn't help but think about Alex. He is so unpredictable. Sometimes he's nice.but most of the times,he's getting on my nerves. After taking a long bath , I wore a simple floral dress and walked out. I greeted Franklin and Joey on the way and joined them to the dining table.

"Where were you last night?! I was looking for you!" Kristen asked angrily as I slowly made my way towards the table.

"I was in my room. Where else would I be? " I lied as I took a seat next to Elena. I looked up to see Alex sitting on the opposite side of the table giving me a smile.

"Are you sure that you were in your room last night?" he asked me gleefully as my eyes widened in shock whereas everyone else looked at us in confusion. Was he really playing with me? Why would he want the vampires to know that we slept together?

"Y-Yes." I stuttered a little as I saw David clearly disappointed with my reaction. started questioning my behavior.

"Alex, What did she do ?" Franklin asked him which made Alex smirk before turning towards Franklin.

"It should be What didn't she do?" he corrected and I blushed deeply before frowning at him. It's not like we did something.

"Nothing." I reaffirm the word while giving him a pleading look to drop the matter. He just shrugged and winked at me. Why he is so hell bent on embarrassing me? I will clear it.

"I didn't do anything-" I was stopped abruptly by him.

"She slept with me." As soon as he said it, the guys started teasing me and my jaws dropped open at his words.

"We didn't sleep together!no. Ed did. But we just sleep together in his room but nothing happened or-"

"Are you sure "nothing" happened last night?" Alex cut me off again making me blush furiously before shooting him a glare.

"What did you guys do?" Danny asked while smirking at me.

"Are you serious? Why does it have to be her?" Kristen asked him through gritted teeth

"Alex, you're not interested in her right? It's just one night stand?" Hannah asked him hopefully.

Everyone asked him a lot of questions causing me to panic.

"Kate, is that true? You said nothing happened." David asked me. His tone was slightly irritated and somewhat hurt . So, I remained silent. I mean, what was I supposed to say anyways? It was just one kiss, ok, two. But why was Alex taunting me like this?

"Nothing happened!" I defended myself while Elena and James smiled . Diana and Hannah scoffed at my words. Kristen is literally giving me a dead glare.

"How far did you guys take it,Alex?" Joey teased . Please,don't answer that.

"We kissed and-" before he could finish, I ran up to him and closed his mouth, l must be flushing like a tomato as I strengthen my grip on his mouth.What does he mean by "and" ? We didn't do anything else! It's just a kiss.

"Rina, darling!" Alex said while kissing my palm . I blushed harder as I couldn't say anything. He then grabbed my waist and pulled me down.With a small gasp, I landed on his lap . I was about to getup when he wrapped his arm around my waist, holding me in place.

"Oh, she is unbelievable and mind blowing." He mumbled in a sweet voice .

"Stop,Alex.." I trailed away and he moved closer to peck my cheek, softly chuckling at my reaction. I was frozen by his "sweet" gesture as the guys coo again before I turned away in embarrassment. What was with him today?

"Kate met some stranger last night. Ut she isn't telling me who it was." David said and suddenly the atmosphere changed. Alex glared at me and I looked at David who was now taking a sip out of his wine, his face knotted in annoyance. What's that for?! Why did he rat me out?!

" Rina, who did you met? " Alex asked in his usual cold tone.

"That's what I wanna know." David muttered bitterly. I gasped as Alex squashed my thighs tightly.

"Tell me." He said rather harshly.

"We-well, I actually..." I trailed off as I stood up, not exactly knowing what to tell him.

"I didn't tell you to get up!" He grabbed me by my waist and within no time we are back in his room. I let my gaze down on the floor with only one plan on my mind. Just lie, lie till the end!

"Rina," he whispered in my ears causing me shudder in fear. "Tell me the truth now." He asked me in such a sweet tone that I might have mistaken him for someone else.

"I didn't meet anyone..." I lied while shivering in fear.

"Stop shaking," he said agitated a bit by my action. I closed my eyes before taking a few deep breath."Now stop lying and tell me." He raised his voice . He won't let it go.

"I really didn't see anyone . David asked me if I was fine last night and I told him that I was scared that I met him. Him, as in you..." I twisted the truth with a small lie.

"He compelled you?" he questioned and I nodded.

"But, I don't want to be compelled anymore because I am willing to tell the truth so..." I paused to meet his gaze. "So please don't compel me." I pleaded weakly.

"I-" I froze when I felt something wet and hot slide against my neck and gasped, Did he just...lick my neck?!

"Don't lie." He said through gritted teeth before releasing me and I slowly stood up before nodding.

"I was telling the truth." I decided to keep lying .

"Go to your room." He muttered before turning away and disappearing out of the room. What was that for?

"I'm sorry okay. But He had to know." David started defending himself and I held back the urge to roll my eyes.

"He didn't have to know David, you lied and now Alex is angry with me for no reason." I lied easily.

"Fine, I am sorry. Now, how can I make it to you?" he asked softly, boring his eyes into mine and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Take me to visit my parents this weekend. A quick one." I suggested and he immediately shook his head.

"No ,Alex will kill me. He's not around. I can't allow that." He said sternly and I frowned at him.

"Then don't bother me." I said and lay down on the bed as he groaned in frustration.

"Come on, Kate. Why do you have to be so stubborn?" He sighed as he throw his hands up in air.

"Let's not forget who ratted out on me in dining table!" I pointed my index finger on his chest as he chuckle. "You." I said through gritted teeth .

"Geez, alright. I'll make a deal. I'll distract Alex and take you." He said and I couldn't help but smile a little. "A very quick visit, Kate." He said making me jump from my bed and hug him.

He touched my forehead. His eyes widened and he frowned at me.

"You have a fever, why didn't you tell me?" he asked, raising his voice in concern . I swat his arm away as I felt uncomfortable

"I am" I confirmed after I touch my forehead myself.

"I'll get you some medicine." He was about to leave when I grabbed his wrist before shaking my head.

"Rina" Alex entered my room and was now glaring at the two of us.

"What are you doing here?" he asked David. Why was he mad again? Did David do something wrong?

"She is having a fever." He said . Alex expression changed from mad to concern.

"I'll take care of it." He said, his eyes still glaring at my hand that was still holding David's hand.Was he mad that I was talking to David?

"It's fine-" Alex cut me off. What the hell was his problem? What did I even do this time?

"I'm really fine, Alex-" I said again.

"Leave, I'll take care of it." He said and send David out from my room.

"Did you eat while I was gone?" he questioned and I slowly shook my head nervously. Alex hissed in annoyance as he walked towards me.

"Why? Do I have to force you to eat now?!" he asked angrily . I flinched at his tone.

"Why are you always so careless?" he muttered before rolling up his sleeves. I was too weak to say anything. Suddenly, he bite his wrist and held it out to me. I stared at him in shock.

"Lick it . You will be fine." He stated, inching closer to me as I look in horror.

"No, No! I don't want to be a vampire!" I yelled, crawling to the corner. Drinking blood from a pure blood will turn me into a vampire!

"Damn it. Barbie, you need to fucking chill." He said softly yet harshly and I shook my head as he leaned his face closer to mine, his hot minty breath fanning against my lips now.

"Drink, it's not going to do anything." He tried to reassure me with a soft voice . Seeing my hesitancy, he suck from his own wrist. Then he cupped my cheeks.

"Wh-what are you -" before I could finish, he leaned into a kiss and I opened my mouth to beg him to stop, Alex used this chance to slide his tongue inside my mouth. I tried to push him away but he is way too stronger for me and I stiffened when a warm liquid pour down my throat, his blood. I want to gag.

I don't want to become a vampire. But I am going to be one.
