After leaving Leaticia at Allan's house I came directly to the publishing house to work a little, cause am stress, very stress about the call mom gave me. Why can't she just leave me alone? If she knew I was here to see Lea am probably sure she would leave me alone. I remember she loved seeing me with Lea and even wanted me to get married to her in the future for all the support she gave me. If she knew am here for her then am sure she would leave all that stupid idea of marriage with that other girl.

My phone rings, I pick it up and see who is calling. Once more my mother!

" What again?" I say furiously.

" You don't talk to me like that Derick, am your mother!"

" What do you want? Am busy."

"Next time don't hang up the phone as you did previously. So are you coming?" My mother says.

" I said am coming back to the USA okay!"

" And you will get married to the girl!"

" I don't want to talk about this. I know I am engaged to that girl and I will do all my possible not to hurt anyone."

" Alright!"

" Have a good day!" I said hanging up the phone.

After a few hours, I ask a girl in the hall of the publishing house if Allan is there and not on the film set, she agrees and I get to his office.

" Hey, Allan! I thought you were on the film set." I ask.

" No!" He says his back still in front of me.

I can see he has stop using his wheelchair, great!.

" Am still here because I was examining the project we have with the Above All trip."

" Okay!"

" ...can you give this to Lea please?"

He turns and comes forward to me strangely.

" Why don't you give it to her yourself?"

" Cause this time around you must be very busy with her."

" I begin to regret why I told you to talk to Lea!"

" Why?"

" You don't merit her!"

I come closer to him dangerously.

" And you merit her?" I ask.

" More than you cause I am not engaged with another girl."

" What have you just said?"

" You heard me!"

" How do you know that?"

" No matter!"

" That's not what you think!"

" I don't need to know about that story, do Lea know that?"

What does he want definitely? Make me feel angry about him cause if he continues then he will win a perfect punch on his face.

" No!" I answer.

" Tell her or I will do it myself."

" Admit that it would be okay for you if Lea and I get angry!"

" You are so selfish that you can't see beyond the tip of your nose, all I want is Lea not to get hurt and with you, it will not be the case."

" Fuck out!" I say before forwarding to the door.

" If you don't tell her the truth be sure that I will do it, even if it is the last thing I do before I die."

I get out of the office furious. He seems to be an angel but I know is just a pretext. Now that he has something to destroy my relationship with Lea he will not hesitate to use it. If ever all this breaks up because of him then I think he will no longer have up till one month to die.

I get to my office and see Lea on my office chair. I change my mood cause I don't want her to be worried.

" Hey!" She says.

" Hi! What are you doing here?"

" I do not have the right to visit you?" She says getting up and coming to me." You miss me!" She enrolls her hands around my neck.

" But it is just some few hours we separate."

" And do you think it isn't sufficient? Anyway, I have something to tell you so come and sit here."

We get to a sit.

"Am all ears!' I say looking at her.

" After you left me to Allan's house, we all talked about the wedding and we finally decided to get married in three weeks, after two weeks we have to organize our engagement wedding and the last week will be for our wedding."

I was sure of such a decision but I couldn't imagine it would hurt so much, it's so fast! I stand and put my hands on my waist wondering how I could react.

" Derick," she says standing too " you know we have to hurry!"

" It must surely make you happy!"

" Derick what are you saying? You perfectly know the reason why am doing all this!"

Anger got power on me once more before I realized my error. I sigh.

" What will happen to us, Lea?" I ask.

" You once said that all we had to do is to love each other," she says caressing my jaw and looking at me tenderly." So let try, everything will be alright!" She joins her forehead on mine for a second before kissing me.

I get her back home and I direct to the Holidays Inn Hotel. To my room, I see Marco surely waiting for me.

" Hey dude, can you tell me why your mother called me and ask me to prepare a ticket for the United States ?" Marco ask.

I take a glass of whisky and sit on my bed tired of this day.

" I must go back to the USA, but not now. I have to clarify that problem of marriage."

" Okay, now I see. When do you need it?"

" I don't yet know!"

" Have you tell that to Lea?"

" Not yet, I will tell her am traveling for work!"

" No! Am talking about the engagement!"

Why can't people understand that it isn't easy to say such things? I don't want her to lose fate for me. I first want to arrange everything before coming back and telling her what happened."

" I first want to arrange all this masquerade. The worse is that Allan knows the truth and threaten me to tell everything"

" Understand that he just wants to protect his friend."

" I don't give a fuck!"

I can't lose Lea, I will never admit losing her. I already tolerated not to be the first man with whom she will get married first because of the circumstances, I will not leave her anymore.
