Chapter 76: Chapter 76

Chapter 76

Hina's Pov

"Monster!!!!"

"You are a monster."

"They're going to burn you alive."

"If they find out, they will hang you."

"You are a witch, A filthy bad bit**"

"You filthy little monster,"

"I wish you died before you were born."

"You're such bad luck; I wish I hadn't had you."

"You were our mistake, and we regret it."

Those are the words I grew up hearing, not from anyone else but from my dearest parents.  Whom I used to love, but they despised me, despised my very existence.  They were determined to get rid of me at any cost.

It was difficult to believe that two souls shared one body, but that was my fate; we were both born at the same time, but the difference between me and Vera was that I awoke first and was unaware of Vera's soul.

Vera first awoke inside my body when I was four years old.

When I was six, my parents noticed a sudden change in my behavior, but I was still unaware of Vera's soul in me because she had been using my body frequently.

Whenever she took over my body, I felt like I was sleeping in a deep sleep, and I fainted, which I thought was due to my weakness when I was always hungry.

I had been abused, beaten to death, and sold several times to different buyers, but Vera killed those buyers and brought me back to my parents, who refused to accept me and sold me again.

What was I to blame?  What had I done to earn such hatred and cruelty? I was just a little girl looking for love but got nothing but hatred.

I was a girl who wanted to live a normal life, but all I did was survive on the people I called family.

Was it my fault that I was born?

Had I chosen a place to live, and had I chosen a family?

I had no choice; no matter how hard I tried to love my family, they despised me for being different.

I had two older sisters who tried to approach me.  I spent a little time with them, and they loved me even though they knew I was different from any other child.

I wish I could live with them because my parents sent them to my aunt's house.  After all, they were afraid I would hurt them one day.

My parents began to chain me and keep me locked inside the room, calling me a monster.  They expressed their regret for having brought me into the world. I despised myself because I didn't know who I was.

I felt bad for staying alive when they tried everything they could to kill me, but I never died because Vera knew, and she protected me and herself.

Vera appeared to me for the first time in the jungle right after the bride's welcome and soul connection ceremony of Lady Sansa and Alpha Xavier.

Vera showed up to me after the event ended that day. For the first time, she spoke to me.  I could feel her inside of me.

Because I was afraid, I did not return to the mountain.  I hid somewhere in the jungle.  As she threatened me, I was afraid she could harm anyone.

I was also tired of her, even though I had known for a long time that something was wrong with me.

"I'm here to finish my mission; you must grant me access so that I can achieve my goals," Vera told me.

"I don't want you inside me, I don't want to see you again, get the hell out of my body," I screamed.

"You can't deny it; it's our fate; we both have to accept it; I just want you to stop interrupting me and let me do whatever I want; otherwise, I'll destroy everyone you've ever loved."  Vera had threatened me.

"I beg you, please stop," I sobbed.

Vera wanted to kill someone, and I didn't want her to.  I calculated how Vera taking over my body and causing trouble could endanger everyone.

I began to beat myself because I knew she was in the same amount of pain as I was; before she could hurt anyone, I reasoned, I needed to kill myself so that everyone could be protected.

I always wanted to die to end my misery; I was sick of that life before Vera made it so. I didn't want to live, but Vera always protected me and herself.

When I was repeatedly wounding myself with the knife and Vera was trying to stop me, but I was out of control, I noticed Jerry standing a few feet away.  I had no choice but to cast a spell on Jerry to kill me because Vera was constantly obstructing me.

Jerry attacked me and stabbed me three times with the silver knife from His pocket. We were both in the same amount of pain.

Ray appeared unexpectedly while on his night duty, looking around before going to bed.  He started fighting with Jerry, thinking Jerry was going to kill me, but he was under my spell.

"Stop!  Leave him alone " When angry Ray was beating Jerry, I yelled.

"How could he?"  Ray was enraged.

"He is not himself; he is under my spell," I admitted as I was about to pass out.

"What made you want him to murder you?"  Ray was taken aback.

"Have you heard of two souls in one body?" With a broken voice, I inquired of Ray.

Ray was stunned and frozen on the spot where he had thrown Jerry to the ground.

"Is it he or she?"  Ray inquired as if he knew something like that as if he had been in a similar situation before.

"Her name is Vera," I said, my eyes welling up with tears.

"What does she want?" Ray inquired.

"She wanted to annihilate everyone," I explained.

Ray embraced me and kept me from falling to the ground as I collapsed.

"Let me take you to the mountain, they can treat you," Ray was concerned.

"No, please let me die; if I live, everything will be destroyed!  I overheard her thinking that she wanted to kill everyone " I was sobbing in agony.

"I'm not going to let you die!"  Ray stated

"Please let me die."

"No," Ray said as he snatched me into his arms and accelerated his pace.

"Please, no, I don't want to go to the mountain; she wants Elodie's body," Ray exclaimed, stunned.

"She will kill the entire pack after obtaining her body; there is something she has been looking for," I revealed Vera's thoughts that had become lodged in my mind.

"I don't want to lose you," Ray said as he avoided making eye contact with me.

"Please let me die or else there will be a war and things will be messy," I pleaded.

"How could I ----" Ray was crying, and I interrupted him in the middle.

"I've wanted to die for a long time, but I've been alive and suffering because I Vera, I just want peace, please let me go, nobody is forcing me, it's my wish," I said, my heart broken.

Ray was lost in thought and did not speak for a moment.  When the only sound we could hear was the sound of a cold breeze, he resumed his walk.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to kill your parents, but I had no choice," Ray admitted sadly.

"You had done what was necessary to protect me at the time. I don't despise you, " I demonstrated concern for him.

For a few more minutes, our gazes met; he was sincere, a protector, and my future groom.  I never hated him for claiming me or killing my parents when they turned into monsters when I was seven years old.

Ray was my hero, who always kept me safe when I was in trouble.  He was my hope for a few moments of peace with love.

When Jerry attacked us from behind, Ray pushed me up against a tree and began fighting him in the moonlight, when the stars were bright.

Vera and I were both badly hurt.  She attempted to flee, but I refused to let her go.  We were both fighting an internal battle.

"Can't you remove your spell from him?"  Ray inquired while battling Jerry.

"It's not me this time; he's currently under Vera's spell," I explained.

Jerry was about to kill Ray when Ray knocked him down, and Jerry fell unconscious to the ground.

"That would hurt him; I hope he's forgotten about me already," Ray said.

Ray was checking Jerry's pocket while he was talking, and he took the silver knife from his grip and slipped it into his pocket.  "I can't risk it; I'm taking you to the mountain and we'll see what we can do later," Ray explained.

When Vera took over my entire body, it was cracking, and when her full white eyes were scanning the area, Ray couldn't touch Vera's body because she was like lava.

Ray was unfamiliar with Vera's Strength.  He attempted to touch me but was unable to.

"What's the problem?  Hina?  Hina, are you listening to me?"  Ray inquired, his voice trembling.

I used my strength to say the final words before disappearing completely.  "Run!" I yelled from inside the Vera.

Ray began to flee as Vera spelled on trees and tree bushes pursued him.
