Chapter 70: Chapter 70

Chapter 70

Sansa's Pov

She plummeted from a great height to the ground in a split second. Every emotion changed abruptly, and her dreams were crushed as if she would never dream again.

The wounds she had been covering had reopened. It was difficult for her to accept that she had lost the war she had been fighting to win.

The victory that left her after only a brief appearance broke her completely, which she was unable to bear.

The only thing that could be heard was the faster breeze, and there was a sadness in the air, and she was sitting on the ground like a statue, frozen. when snow falls under a bright sky. Accepting her fate had dealt her was a difficult process. Her life had been turned upside down in an instant.

She was staring at the exit door, which she had been looking forward to crossing a few minutes ago. I stood behind her, unable to leave her alone as everyone else left one by one.

She was an outcast, rebellious, a survivor, and a warrior, and her struggle reminded me of my struggle for a better life.

Bella stood up and began walking towards me. I could tell she was in a lot of pain because she was so pale.

She came to a halt, her face expressionless. "He won!!  Even after he died, he still wanted to keep me here."

Bella began to laugh, and I couldn't say anything because even if I had given her false hope, she would not be deceived. I chose to remain silent because it was the only way to prevent the fire from spreading.

"What would I do with this?" Bella was emotional when I was sad for her.

"Life has played with me not once, but a thousand times; I am cursed, you know? I have been, some do not deserve happiness, even if they chase," Bella laughed.

"Bella," I sighed frustratingly

"Kevin is a curse," Bella said, her face tense. "This curse will be with me forever, no matter where I go," she said as she walked away, laughing and crying at the same time.

When I found out Bella was pregnant, I felt unsafe and wanted to flee this place and Xavier. I didn't want to spend any more time in that place.

I was terrified. What if I was in Bella's shoes? I despised Xavier more because we both pretended to be husband and wife, and I didn't want to be stuck like Bella.

I didn't have time to waste before Xavier did anything to me, so I wanted to flee. I wanted to see Vera one more time.

When a few members of the pack were discussing the west gate while holding guns, I came to a halt a few feet away from the dungeon. They were dressed in weather-resistant tactical pants, shirts, and jackets. protective cloths. They had no plans to leave.

"You should rest," Amara said as she walked over to me.

"I'm concerned," I admitted.

"They will kill all the monsters in the jungle, and our territory will be monster-free," Amara stated.

"I'm concerned about Bella; what if she causes herself harm? She didn't appear to be in good health," I elaborated.

"She would not; she tried to kill herself twice but then swore to destroy others, not herself," Amara explained.

"No one was there for her; she must have had a reason to speak up," I reasoned.

"Nobody could help her; she was the one who refused to accept her fate," Amara explained.

"It's heartless to say that when you know someone is suffering but can't do anything to help them," I admitted.

"We were not allowed to do anything, and if we did, we would have been punished. Pronouncement of Wonder that she never accepted and endured" Amara elaborated

"Not all of the brides are happy to be here; for some of them, it's a prison," I lamented.

We both noticed more pack members joining and conversing about 10 feet away, near the dungeon.

"I had no idea there was a graveyard around the mansion; there could be many hidden things in the mansion," I said

"There are many things you can't even imagine," Amara pointed out.

"What exactly do you mean?" I inquired.

"There are numerous stories about a treasure. There are stories we heard as children, and there is a treasure somewhere in the mansion." Amara spoke slowly.

"Treasure?"

"Yes, but we're not sure; we tried to find out, but that seemed to be a lie," Amara explained.

"If it had been here, you would have found it by now," I explained.

"That's exactly what we thought!" Amara stated

When Edward was pushing his wheelchair, Xavier joined the conversation a few feet away.

"Stop him; Xavier is going into the jungle when he needs rest," Amara said.

"Why is he going?" I inquired.

"He is stubborn; he will not back down until the situation is not in our favor," Amara stated.

"Yes, he is stubborn; he has always wanted to do whatever he wants," I explained as Amara smiled at me.

"What?" I inquired.

"Nothing," Amara chuckled

"Have you seen the wild animal? I'm curious how many of them are in the jungle," I said.

"The West Gate is known as a gate to hell, where all the scary creatures live on the other side," Amara explained.

"What if they broke the door and Vera tried to take credit to demonstrate her power?" I was assuming things.

"The West Gate of Hell can't be broken; it's the most powerful gate; Vera opened the gate; she must be taking her revenge on us; she doesn't like her new dungeon space," Amara explained.

"I'd never seen such a large and dangerous creature before; I was too close to death," I explained.

"As soon as Xavier learned about the west gate, he went in search of you."

"Why?"

"Because you were nowhere to be found, He cares about you," Amara said with a smile.

Was Xavier there to kill the creature or to save me in the jungle? Did Edward tell him about my escape attempt?

"Can you see, He adores you."

No, he didn't; he just wanted to torture me in the name of the law's pronouncement of wonder. He made me pretend as his wife in front of the pack. Amara had no idea how he was playing with them.

"Did you meet Levine?" She inquired.
