Chapter 39: Chapter 39
Chapter 39
Sansa's Pov
When I was watching everyone at the table, I lost my appetite for dinner. They were treating me like a queen, and I felt bad for doubting them. I was silently battling my thoughts and myself.
On a cold night in the moonlight, when the breeze danced with my hair, I was dressed in a long brown coat. I was trying to keep my panic attack under control.
even if I were walking on the grass. The heavy chest and shortness of breath persisted. I tried to distract myself with random thoughts, but I
was sinking fast.
"Are you already missing Xavier?" As she stood next to me, Amara spoke softly.
When I was tired of lying about Xavier and my love story, I chuckled weakly.
"I understand that craving your favorite person can drive you insane," Amara said, smiling.
"I'm wondering if he's still as crazy about me as he used to be." Logan was in my thoughts.
"So why not?" Amara put it nicely: "Love is the most powerful emotion in the world."
"And the most difficult path to walk on," I said, my face expressionless.
"Easy love goes easily, but the strongest love comes with difficulties." Amara's heartfelt words pierced my wounded heart.
"Have you ever experienced love?" I inquired, my voice sad.
"Yes," she said with a big smile, "I was crazy to fall head over heels; he was the first person I ever loved, my soulmate." Amara laughed as she remembered her younger days.
The joy on her face demonstrated that the memories she made were the most valuable.
"You know, the concept of falling in love is magical. You'll never know unless you go through it," Amara's smile didn't seem to be going away.
"Why is it so difficult to hang on? Not everyone is lucky enough to find love. Sometimes you fail to get the love you want."
"It's not about winning or losing; it's about how big your love is and how far you'll go to keep it alive. Same with us; even if he is not with me, his love remains with me forever," Amara expressed herself deeply.
"Where has he gone?"
"He's at peace, laying under six feet," Amara explained.
Her words pierced my bleeding heart. I was fighting every second to keep Logan alive. I was terrified of confronting him because I knew Xavier wanted to kill him.
Xavier left Logan alive because he knew Logan was the reason I agreed to accompany Xavier. He was using Logan to exert control over me. I was concerned for Logan's safety.
"My father did not like him; our love was unacceptable to him; I saw his soul leave him right in front of my eyes when my father killed him to force me to accept the mate he chose for me, a business wedding; but I fought back against that love who gave his life to save mine."
"I thought you were a member of the Oak Pack," I wondered.
"No, I wasn't before; I survived, left my father, and was accepted by the Oak Pack; he was an Oak Pack member." Amara's voice started to shake.
My heavy heart was pounding like the ocean waves on stormy nights. I found someone in a similar situation, but I couldn't share my anguish with her.
"He went through a lot because of me; I'm glad he's at peace," Amara chuckled half-heartedly.
I was perplexed as to how she could smile in front of us while carrying the most painful memory inside her.
"What about you? Are you at ease?" I was intrigued by her.
"I have nothing to lose now; his pain was the most agonizing thing for me, and now that everything is over, his peace is the most valuable thing to me." Amara looked calm.
I was on the verge of crying, but there was no reason for me to show them my tears. But the hardest part was holding back my tears.
"You are fortunate to have found the man you love; it is a nice blessing that you have found the one you have always loved; some people only live to keep the love alive even after the other person has died." Amara walked away from me with a calm expression on her face.
Everyone fled into the mansion from the pouring rain as a single tear fell from my eye, leaving me alone in the middle of the storm.
I had never imagined owning a mansion in my wildest dreams. because I knew my worth was insufficient to secure a good meal for days.
The mansion was the dream I was watching. I had everything I had never dared to wish for, and I got everything.
There was only one person I needed more than a mansion, cars, and family. Logan was exactly who I was looking for.
I drowned in the torrential rain. When the rain muffled my voice, I cried out loud. I was alone in the pouring rain because no one could see my tears, which I had suppressed since arriving here.
What made me so worried about seeing Logan again? Will we ever be able to come to terms? Will we ever run into each other again? Those questions made me feel anxious.
The next morning, when the sunlight came in through the window, I was sitting on the chair, staring in the mirror at my puffy red eyes. I put on some makeup so as not to reveal my true state to anyone.
I had no energy in my legs and was unable to speak. I was concerned about how I would face all of them at the breakfast table and be invaded by them while depressed. Every second, I lose hope. My mind was messed up at the time.
When I heard the scream, I came out of my room. I followed the scream of someone I knew once more.
" leaving me!"
"Please leave me alone."
I came to a halt near the stairs and watched the mountain guards drag her against her will while she was pushing them away and screaming for help.
"I don't want to return! Please leave me." Hina was yelling.
They were all watching silently. The mountain guards dragged Hina. My attention was drawn to Bella, who was standing helpless in the corner, ignoring Hina's presence, and feeding the fish in the aquarium.
"Stop it!" I screamed.
I decided to remain silent, but her scream was louder than any decision I made. She was my last hope, and I didn't want to lose her. I had to put a stop to them because all eyes were on me.
"Leave her alone," I said as I made my way downstairs.
"It's a mountain order; she's been living here without permission," a guard explained.
"No ordered work down here," I assured myself.
My statement astounded them all. I was also perplexed as to how to stop her, but I knew that acting tough would endanger them.
"But she is from the mountain, and we must obey the orders at all costs," a guard explained.
Bella was quietly watching my new face, not expecting such rage from me.
3 Guards were still holding Hina's arm tightly in their grip. My statement alerted the pack member when guards did not listen to the Luna of the pack.
When the guards were not listening to the Luna, pack members were all moving closer to put pressure on the guards.
As the guards left her arm, Hina rushed over to me, as if I were her only hope of survival.
Hina was standing behind me, shivering slightly.
"She's not going anywhere; she's staying here, it's an order," I declared.
"See you soon," a guard said as he walked away.
I returned my gaze to Hina. She was gripping my hand like a safety net. Her heart seemed to be about to jump out of her chest, as she was breathing heavily.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine," I said softly.
I said those words without knowing what would happen if Hina was kept inside the mansion.
