Chapter 266: Chapter 266
Chapter 266 A Trip To The Playground
"A playground?" Cathy Sidney was surprised.
Truth be told, Cathy Sidney's talent in business was immense. She was really good at making business with other people. But she hasn't even been to the playground because she didn't have that time.
At that time, the elevator door opened, and two people walked into the elevator.
In the elevator stood a man wearing a suit.
Martin James looked intently, unlike yesterday when he bought Volkswagen 4S car. The other man looked at him and somehow noticed him. He knew he met him before. And at that time, he introduced himself as the company's Head of Security.
"Oh yes, it's you!" The man exclaimed.
The man saw Martin James walk into the elevator alongside Cathy Sidney, and he trembled with fear.
It was a coincidence. He wasn't expecting to meet him again. Martin James flashed a playful smile.
"Martin, do you know him?" Cathy Sidney was curious.
"He asked me for trouble, doesn't that count?" Martin James said flatly.
"Oh? He asked you for trouble?" Cathy Sidney asked again and was a little surprised.
Immediately after that, Cathy Sidney looked at the man and said, "David, you're bold. Do you know who this is? He is the grandson of Gold Morgan Gracie."
"What? Morgan Gracie's grandson?" The man's face changed and he was in disbelief.
He guessed yesterday that Martin James must have been in a great place, but he never thought that Martin James's identity would be so scary.
Then the elevator arrived on the first floor.
"Cathy, let's go. This is some kind of garbage, and I'm too lazy to waste my mouth talking to him." Martin James said. His tone was flat.
Cathy Sidney covered her mouth and smiled, then followed him out of the elevator.
As for the man, he got so scared that he collapsed in the elevator.
When Martin James and Cathy Sidney left the company, they rode the car and he brought Cathy Sidney directly to JH Playground.
At the Gold Building, inside the office of Colby Gracie, she has been having a tough morning. She was afraid of suddenly getting a notice from her grandmother that Martin James has managed to dig people up.
As for her injuries yesterday, they were all in trauma, and she naturally came out of the hospital just after treatment.
Then suddenly, Elmer Gracie hurried into the office.
"Colby! I have good news for you. Martin James didn't come to the company this morning. Instead, he went to Cathy Sidney's, place. That goes to show that he certainly wasn't convinced by Cathy Sidney last night. So he went on to find Cathy Sidney today." Elmer Gracie said.
When Colby Gracie heard those words, she barely made a sigh of relief.
"Colby, since that guy keeps looking for Cathy Sidney, we can't be idle. We can't just sit back and wait. We have to find a way." Elmer Gracie said.
"Elmer, is there anything else that you needed to do?" Colby Gracie asked.
That's when Elmer Gracie's phone rang.
Elmer Gracie quickly picked up the phone.
"What?" Did the two of them go to JH Playground? Okay, I got it!" Elmer Gracie's eyes were focused.
After hanging up the phone, Elmer Gracie spoke again to Colby Gracie and said, "This guy has a little bit of a knight about being able to get Cathy Sidney to the playground. And it looks like he's got a lot of affection for Cathy Sidney. That would mean that the situation is very bad for us right now!" Elmer Gracie shook his head.
"What?" Did he just make an appointment with Cathy Sidney? Elmer, think of a way!" Colby Gracie seemed eager.
"Now that the situation has completely turned to Martin James, we have to do something about it if we want to reverse it!" Elmer Gracie squinted.
Martin James drove Cathy Sidney to JH Playground.
JH Playground, the largest amusement park in the California region, was also involved in the investment of Martin James, accounting for 35 percent of the shares. Although not involved in the operation, but he was a major shareholder.
Inside and outside the JH playground, everything seemed very lively.
After lining up to buy tickets, Martin James and Cathy Sidney made it to the playground.
They were surprised when they saw a lot of people there. Cathy Sidney's eyes lit up.
Led by Martin James, the two soon strolled through half the playground.
Because Cathy Sidney doesn't have the guts, she was afraid to try exciting yet scary rides. So she basically rode simple rides like bumper cars, carousel, and some little games.
Although they were all simple, Cathy Sidney still had fun.
After coming out of the car, Cathy Sidney uttered, "Martin, that's funny." She had a happy smile on her face.
"It's true that aside from working hard, there's this thing called life which we also needed to experience in this world." Martin James said with a laugh.
"Martin, thank you so much for bringing me there. If it wasn't for you, maybe I won't be able to go to the playground all my life." Cathy Sidney still wore a happy smile on her face.
"You must be thirsty. Please wait here and let me buy you a drink." Martin James said.
Martin James went to the juice shop to buy drinks for Cathy Sidney.
Everything on that playground was really expensive. If Martin James was poor, maybe he couldn't afford to buy freshly squeezed watermelon juice for her.
When Martin James returned from buying watermelon juice, he saw Cathy Sidney talking to a woman and two men. The woman was in front of Cathy.
Martin James glanced at both men, both wearing designer clothes and designer watches. The woman was wearing a skirt and was carrying a Hermes bag in her hand.
One of the men, with a big back, was talking to Cathy Sidney, who appeared to know her.
"Cathy, freshly squeezed watermelon juice." Martin James handed Cathy Sidney the watermelon juice.
"Martin, thank you." Cathy Sidney smiled and took the watermelon juice, then gently took a sip.
"Cathy, is he the friend you're talking about? You came here together?" The big-backed man asked, and looked up and down at Martin James.
When he saw Martin James was dressed so plain, his eyes were instantly dismissive.
"Yes." Cathy Sidney nodded.
After the big man heard those words, he turned to Martin James and said, "Hello, my name is Jack Isaiah. Cathy and I are business partners and friends."
Jack Isaiah introduced himself and reached out his hand.
"Hello, my name is Martin James." Martin James also reached out and shook his hand.
"Man, you must be really good. You were actually able to make Cathy go and play on the playground. It seems that you have little sister skills. Cathy was notoriously difficult to get done with." Jack Isaiah said with a laugh.
"It's been a prize." Martin James was not humble.
Jack Isaiah spoke while touching a packet of wet paper towels. He wiped his hand which he shook hands with Martin James and he wiped it with wet wipes.
As he wiped it, he said, "I'm a clean-freak. I always carry wet paper towels with me. So every time I touch dirty things, I can easily wipe my hands with it."
Martin James frowned after hearing those words. Then he asked directly, "Mr. Isaiah, you mean, my hands are dirty?"
"Oh don't get me wrong. Please don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it was you." Jack Isaiah laughed and explained.
There was a quick pause then Jack Isaiah continued with a smile, "Cathy, where are you making friends? Why does it look so chilling and so different? Also wearing a pair of mixed-brand sports shoes. "
The man and the woman behind Jack Isaiah covered their mouths and laughed.
Before Cathy Sidney could speak, Martin James stepped forward and said with a sly smile, "Well, I like to wear mixed-brand sports shoes."
"Of course. After all, it fits your identity. I'm a straight man and Cathy knows that. Please don't be angry." Jack Isaiah said with a laugh.
Immediately after that, Jack Isaiah turned to Cathy Sidney.
"Cathy, I'm going to go to the playground with my friends today, and I'm going to check the playground for my dad. And now that we've met, we can go together." Jack Isaiah sent out the invitation.
"Well, it's..." Cathy Sidney couldn't finish her sentence. She looked at Martin James with some hesitation, apparently seeking one of Martin James's excuses.
"Cathy, just think about it. Whatever you like." Martin James said flatly.
"Cathy, we're all friends here. And if you refuse me, you're not going to give me the face." Jack Isaiah said.
"Okay." Cathy Sidney finally nodded.
Cathy Sidney and Jack Isaiah have a business partnership, and Cathy doesn't want to be unhappy about anything.
They went to the playground altogether.
Along the way, listening to Jack Isaiah's intentional or unintentional throb, Martin James learned that the JH Playground, with a 15 percent stake in his father, they were the third-largest shareholder.
Of course, when Jack brags, he couldn't help but sarcastically include and belittle Martin.
At that time, several people came to the Ferris wheel.
"Wow! The Ferris wheel looks so beautiful!" Cathy Sidney exclaimed.
"Cathy, do you like it? Let's go, let's go!" Jack Isaiah waved.
Although Cathy Sidney was afraid to play high-altitude rides, she realized that the Ferris wheel was no more than roller coasters, jumping machines and so on. She figured that the Ferris wheel belongs to the more gentle type of people, so Cathy was not too afraid.
And besides, she hasn't tried that yet. That was her perfect time to do so.
Then there was a long line in front of the Ferris wheel.
There were a lot of people in line ahead of them. Falling in line might take them an hour or so to get to the ride. Jack looked ahead and said, "Cathy, if you're with this guy alone, there's definitely only one part of the queue. But with me, how can you line up? Come with me!" Jack Isaiah waved with joy.
