Chapter 20 Because of You

"Yes! I will never harass Kelly again." Chapman nodded like a stray dog.

After hearing the words, Martin turned away and moved on to the next table.

Right after Martin left his table.

"You son of a bitch! You even dare to offend Mr. James!"

There was a loud banging noise.

Chapman's father, Byron, slapped him in the face pouring out his anger.

"Listen to me, you are grounded! You are never to leave the house for a year. Think about it at home!" Byron pointed at Chapman and cursed.

Chapman was utterly miserable when he heard that he had been grounded for a year, but he dared not refute it. Who told him to offend the new chairman of the Gold Group?

Everything happened right in front of Kelly and her father.

It can be said that the father and daughter were filled with emotions. Before the party began, they were worried about the safety of Martin and advised him to leave the party as soon as possible.

Martin is the new chairman of the Gold Group. Byron, a strong man that can easily crush his own son, knelt down and begged for mercy.

After Martin's outrage, people looked at him now differently. Everyone looks at him with respect.

Many high-ranking men now introduces their daughters to Martin, the purpose is naturally to climb the high fields of the social status where Martin is at.

Amanda's father told her, "Amanda, Mr. James is about to come to our table, you must behave well and try to make a good first impression on him. It would be great if you can get in touch with him directly."

"Dad, I." Amanda looked a little stressed. She knew very well that she had been with Martin and made a bad first impression. The last time Martin told her that she was unworthy.

Then, Amanda's father smiled and said, "Mr. James, this is my daughter Amanda, who is about your age. Amanda adores you very much and wants to make friends with you."

Then, Caesar winked at his daughter and signaled that it was her turn to speak.

Amanda was so annoyed that she knew it was a great opportunity to get acquainted with Martin at the bar that night.

If she had done well at that time, she would have been the first lady of the new chairman of Gold Group.

At this point, Martin walked to the table where Kelly is seated.

The other officials present were filled with envy when they saw this behind the scenes.

Because when Martin first made a toast, he wouldn't say much to them, but he was so enthusiastic about Abel that he even called him uncle. How could they not envy him?

Abel was even more flattered to hear Martin call him "Uncle Mike".

After all, his status is very different from Martin. Martin is the new chairman of Gold Group while he is just a small boss of a small company.

So, Abel hurriedly said, "Mr. James, I can't afford that. You can call me Abel."

"Uncle Mike, Kelly helped me yesterday. I regard her as a friend. My friend's father is an elder, so you can deserve this name." Martin said with a smile.

Then, Martin looked at Kelly again.

"Kelly, we meet again." Martin kept smiling.

"Martin. Mr. James, I really didn't expect that you would be the new chairman of the Gold Group." Kelly is still shocked with what's happening.

When Kelly helped Martin in the hotel yesterday, she never dreamed that this man would be the new chairman of Gold Group.

"You'd better call me Martin. It's too much of an outsider to call me Mr. James." Martin said with a smile.

"Mar... Martin." after Kelly hesitated, she called it out anyway.

"Thank you, Martin. Thank you for asking Chapman to leave me alone." Kelly said, biting her red lip.

Kelly was harassed by Chapman, but he is too strong and powerful for her. She doesn't know what else to do with him.

But when Martin simply sent a message to Chapman, telling him to stop harassing her, which he did and now she can finally be at peace.

"A lady like you shouldn't have been harassed by the likes of him. Don't worry, if anyone else dares to harass you in the future, you tell me, and I'll help you solve it." Martin smiled.

Kelly bit her red lip and nodded.

Although Kelly didn't spend much time with Martin, she found that Martin is very different from other rich heirs. Instead of being arrogant and domineering, he can stand up for the weak.

"By the way, I heard you and Abel, really want to talk to me about cooperation, right?" Martin asked.

Kelly hurriedly looked at Martin and nodded hard at the same time. Abel also looked at Martin James with an expectant look on his face.
