Chapter 106: Chapter 106

Chapter 106 The Bad News

The Delicious Food Company had worked with Nelson for so many years, so he immediately answered the call as soon as his phone rang.

"Hello, Mr. Hobson. I see you remembered to call me." Nelson said with a smile.

"Mr. Johnson, I just want to formally inform you that our cooperation with each other is going to be terminated. I don't want to us to work together again."

"W-Wait, what? What do you mean you want to terminate the cooperation? Are you kidding me, Mr. Hobson?" Nelson said, flabbergasted. "We have worked together for so many years already! You supply me with raw materials, and you make a lot of money from me!"

However, Hobson immediately hung up on Nelson before he could even finish his sentence.

"God damn it, he hung up on me!" Nelson should as he threw his phone on the sofa angrily.

It was then that Nelson sat on the sofa. "How dare he terminate the cooperation! Without me, they would earn less in a year!"

Nelson couldn't figure out why the Delicious Food Company suddenly terminated the cooperation with him, but before he could think clearly, his phone rang again, and it was from the boss of Skylight Group.

"Hello. I know you're usually very busy, but what made you call me?" Nelson asked.

"Actually I'm calling so I can formally tell you that the Skylight Group will terminate the cooperation with you from now on."

"W-What?" Nelson said. Before he could say something, the other party had already hung up.

Another phone call came, and Nelson saw that it was another cooperative boss of a company, so he answered it almost immediately.

"Mr. Johnson, our company has decided to terminate our cooperation with you." The boss said. The tone of his voice was indifferent, and he came straight to the point. After that, he hung up before Nelson could ask him why.

"W-What's going on?" Nelson asked himself as he looked at his phone.

If it was a single company, he could understand it and could be regarded as accidental, but he had received multiple phone calls at the same time so he thought that there was no way it could be an accident.

At that point, Nelson's phone began to ring again. When he took a look, it was a phone call from another boss which said the same thing as what the previous callers said.

Throughout the afternoon, Nelson kept receiving phone calls from all the companies that he had cooperation with no matter what size it was.

Whether the cooperation were recent or not, they all terminated it because they didn't want to get involved with the Johnson Group.

Nelson wanted to ask them why, but all the bosses hung up and didn't give him a single chance to ask why.

After he took more than a dozen phone calls, Nelson slammed the cup that he had on the table.

"Why the fuck is this happening to me?!" Nelson shouted.

If one company suddenly terminated their cooperation, Nelson would accept it. Not to mention, it wouldn't have a great impact on their company even if that happened.

However, now that multiple companies wanted to terminate their cooperation with him, he was worried about the fact that the Johnson Group might face the crisis of bankruptcy.

"M-Mr. Johnson, so many companies want to terminate their cooperation with us at the same time. This was definitely planned by someone!" The secretary said.

"I know, god damn it!" Nelson immediately said. "I can't figure out who the hell has so much power to let so many companies terminate their cooperation with the Johnson Group! I haven't offended anyone at all."

"What do we do now? All of them have terminated their cooperation with us. I'm afraid that this will put our company in an unprecedented crisis!"

"I want to contact other alternative companies immediately and find new partners." Nelson said, dignified.

With that, Nelson called several companies that have always wanted to work with Johnson Group, but to his surprise, all those companies declined his offer.

"Damn it, now that I want to cooperate with them, they don't want to?" Nelson angrily said.

Deep inside, he knew very well that if it continues, the company would be really finished.

Nelson thought about a person who might help him, so he called up a boss who was very friendly towards him.

"Mr. Browne, can you tell me why all the companies I've worked with have terminated their cooperation with us? Do you know who's capable to mess with my company?" Nelson asked.

Mr. Browne stayed silent for a moment, but he decided to tell Nelson anyway. "As far as our old friendship is concerned, I can only say that you've offended Mr. James, who's currently the chairman of the Gold Group. He called all of the billionaires and told us that he wanted to ban your company. Now if you'll excuse me, I have something to do."

With that, he hung up.

After he finished talking, Nelson could tell that Mr. Browne himself didn't want anything to do with him. However, his phone slipped out of his hand when he realized it.

"M-Mr. James?" Nelson murmured to himself. He was well aware of Martin's background, but when he realized that Martin didn't invite him to dinner, realization hit him harder than he could ever imagine.

"I didn't offend him!" Nelson shouted. He couldn't think of a reason why Martin wanted to mess with him. In fact, he hadn't offended the Gold Group or Martin at all.

At that time, the general manager ran towards Nelson. "Mr. Johnson, something happened!"

"What is it?"

"Our restaurant has a lot of guests!"

"That's a good thing, isn't it? Nelson said as he gave the general manager a confused look.

"Actually, the guests are all from the Gold Company. When they entered the restaurant, they ordered the cheapest dish and occupied all the seats. It doesn't look like they have any intention of leaving at all and it's useless if we call the police because they've already ordered some food."

"God damn it. Martin did this!" Nelson shook his head in anger.

"Get the car ready. I'm going to see Martin in person!" He added as he looked at his secretary. The only way he knew how to get out of the mess he was in was to see Martin in person and ask him.

Otherwise, the Johnson Group would fall into bankruptcy in no time.

Meanwhile in the Gold Group, Martin received a call from a girl at the front desk.

"Mr. James, Nelson's coming to meet you."

"Is his son coming?" Martin asked.

"He's actually the only one."

"Then tell him to bring his son and see me!" Martin said as he hung up the call.

The girl put down the phone as soon as Martin hung up the call.

"Well? What did he say?" Nelson asked.

"Mr. James asked me to tell you to bring your son and see him again."

"My... Son?" Nelson asked.

All of a sudden, something clicked inside Nelson.

"That scumbag must have offended Mr. James!"
