Chapter 97: Chapter 97

Victor!!! She cried out in pain as her grip on the plane's edge weakened she tried her best to hold on but another table came tumbling out again aiming for her but she moved her body aside that move resulted in her being swooped out of the plane. She was now swinging on one hand holding on to the edge which means everything the wind was pulling from the plane will be directed at her. She knew there was no escape hereby swinging left and right to escape been hit but the last one was a big cabinet.

Within seconds it brushed her from the entrance sending her straight to her fall. She closed her eyes waiting for it. She opened it as she didn't feel any hurt then notice she was in a big spacecraft which opened sucking her in immediately she fell. Her body was wounded from the force and she couldn't lift her hand because she held the plane's edge for too long.

" Victor, where's he? Did he fall? She asked trying to stand up

" He's fine Miss Audrey. Just unconscious at the moment. " Said Bobby making Audrey stiffen thinking Lucas is there too.

" How come you're here? How did you find us? She asked regardless of the shock

" Sir Lucas wanted you to be safe. It seems he was right. Your aunt does want you dead. So leave her to me. I'll fish her out" he stated noticing her wandering eyes searching for him

" He's not here" he announced as she sighed

" But at the airport. " He said leaving her to rest.

She couldn't believe what she has been through. She managed to stand up. She needed to move her hands but it was too painful. So she gave it a rest. She wondered if the pilots were rescued too. It'll be shameful to know innocent lives were lost because of her.

Bobby reported everything to Lucas recalling how his reaction was when he was told her plane was about to crash. He ordered him to save her at all cost and should anything happen to her Bobby should never return.

With such a threat Bobby went there himself to make sure she was hale and hearty. Lucas's words are not to be trifled with. He pretty much wants to enjoy his love with Vanessa just like him.

The paramedics attended to them bandaging their wounds though Victor wasn't that bruised.

They arrived at the airport hours later. Audrey composed herself stepping out of the plane but frowned when she didn't see him. Lola and Ava ran to her.

" We heard what happened? Omg Audrey" they exclaimed hugging her heaving a sigh of relief

Victor stepped out too.

" Victor, thank God you're alive." She said hugging him. Victor held her tight inhaling her scent. He thought he failed her.

" I'm ok. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you, Audrey. I'm so sorry" he apologized still hugging her

" It's not your fault. Both of us would have died anyway. You're more than a friend" she stated pulling out of the hug as Bobby was glaring at them with contempt

" You're wounded" he winced

" I'm fine. Nothing I can't withstand" she muttered as Ava and Lola patted her back.

Bobby and his boys were ready to hit the road. She sighed and walked to them

" Thank you, Bobby. Thank you for saving my life" she said giving him a hug which he withdrew from immediately as Audrey held the urge to roll her eyes at him

" You know who to thank. I'm just following orders. He's the real hero. You owe him so much Miss Audrey" he curtsied then left as she bit her lips in realization. He saved her big time already. She would have died without a burial place and three innocent lives would have followed her. She composed herself and walked to her friends who she knew were dying to know what happened.

" What happened Audrey? Look at you, what happened? They asked in unison as Vanessa sprint in panting

" It's Ivy. She sent gangsters after me. They sneaked into the private jet and shot the windows and doors after weighing the possibility of them dying. It's not something I'll like to talk about here. It was terrible girls " she sniffled recalling her struggle to live and save Victor as well

" Omg. She needs to be found. Come here " they said giving her a bear hug whilst Victor trailed behind them dreading his experience when he thought he was going to fall to his death and Audrey dying as well. A drop of tears fell from his eyes as if living the moment again. Then someone's tapped him as he turned

" You must have been very scared to die detective," said luke sarcastically

" I wasn't afraid of death but the circumstances of it. You won't understand"

" I understand after witnessing your affectionate hug earlier. You were scared of losing her to death and maybe because you promised to keep her safe. " He rattled out as Victor was shocked he saw them

" She hasn't moved on you know" he blurted out trying to sway him from talking about the hug again

" Neither have I. So keep your distance. " He warned trailing off as Victor scoffed. What a jealous man.

Ivy waited for the report of her death but heard nothing. Then she was cursed at by the gangster boss who threatened to have her killed if his boys are caught and interrogated.

She found out from him that Audrey was Luca's woman and Luke is feared to be a tyrant when it comes to drug lords and gangs. She couldn't believe what she heard. It's impossible or perhaps she used it as a trump card. No wonder he was asking after her she laughed hysterically. She could get back at Luke for stealing her company but again he's a man she couldn't tackle.

She'll kill Audrey even if it's the last thing she does. With Lucas as her backer, there's little she could do. So she planned carefully waiting for the right moment to put it into action. She had a perfect way to do it.

Audrey got home and was surprised to see a replica of her former car though it was better than the first one.

" Wow! She exclaimed touching and admiring it

" I thought delivering it in person was better " smirked Roman putting his hand in his trouser pockets

" Luke sent you didn't he? She asked amused

" Maybe but I need your help" he stated seriously as she flinched wondering what he's going to ask of her since he's a womanizer.
