Chapter 96: Chapter 96

The clock ticked off as Bobby's boys raided the hotel silently picking the goons lurking in the darkness. They were picked one by one without their notice perhaps because they were focused on killing Audrey.

The boys called Bobby to relay the message. He gave them an order to keep an eye on her.

Audrey and Victor tracked Ivy's number but the route was her house meaning she left it in her house. She got angry and threw it to the wall. Victor picked it up.

" Perhaps we need Mr. Hamilton to fish her out"

" Why can't you say a complete sentence without mentioning his name. Are you so incompetent? She said callously

" That's because you don't want the police involved. He's your best shot at this"

" No way. I'll find her my way" she refused blatantly

" I know you're having issues with him but he's your saving grace. " He stated as she stared at him in surprise

" What! I don't think so. Maybe a little but I can do this alone" she said confidently

" You may not know but I wouldn't have caught that drug lord without his help. You're alive because he shielded you, Audrey. We need him for the last time. Put your ego aside for her sake. I don't want you dead before you find your mother" he counseled

" I... I can't face him, Victor. We'll look for another way " she stuttered facing the window hiding her embarrassed face from him

" Didn't you say you will do anything for your mother? Perhaps this is it. "

" He won't listen to me. I don't want to face him please don't force me. I'm not ready to face him yet " she whispered staring down from the window sullenly

" Mr. Hamilton isn't as bad as you think. You've to do it unless we won't leave here alive" he warned as she faced him urging him to elaborate

" What do you mean? Ivy is no gangster. She can't pay for security services at the moment."

" Yes, she can. She got some millions left: remnant of the company she sold out. You'll do well to fear her. She might have bought a gang with those millions. You have an advantage though. Lucas Hamilton is your secret weapon. Do it for your mom" he advised. He knows how much her mom meant to her. She's her weakness. He knew she'll listen to him as time goes by.

" I'll think about it. Ivy has grown wings. after all. She has decided to kill me. That's pretty messed up. " She voiced pacing

" She sent some men your way yesterday. We were surrounded by her men last night. There's no time to think about it if we're to leave here alive" he urged though he knew Lucas has taken care of it. She needed persuasion.

" Fine. I'll talk to him. Perhaps call him since we're far away from home" she stated. Well, it's better than meeting him in person she thought.

" Good. Now, what's our next step? He asked since Ivy was nowhere to be found.

" I don't know perhaps go back to that hospital. I'm not convinced yet. She might be there somewhere maybe the attending doctor wasn't aware " she suggested

" Then let's check it out again. " He urged her to get ready to leave.

" Alright," she hummed as they retired to their various room. Audrey picked her phone dialed his number then deleted it. She heaved a sigh of frustration. She can't rush it. What if he doesn't pick? Is she kidding he probably doesn't have her number any more or perhaps he does but won't pick? She decided to call him after they visited the hospital.

They set out to the hospital eventually looking out for goons and it seemed they were around as Victor saw two range rovers trailing behind but smiled when he saw three Land rovers trailing behind too. It seems he was wrong. They'll get out of there alive.

She returned to the hospital but found out the attending doctors were dead. She was surprised. It's been sixteen hours since her last visit. Did Ivy kill them to hide her mother's whereabouts? Perhaps they knew and withheld the information from her or perhaps she thought she hasn't been there. That's likely impossible. Maybe it's because they revealed her secret.

" Let's get out of here Victor. I need to fight her in my environment. This place is inconvenient" she says as Victor nodded in agreement. Texa was out of his reach. He can help her more in Ukraine. Certainly.

She paid her dad a visit cleaning his grave sitting down while burning incense for him.

" Hi, Dad, sorry for the late visit. Well, do you know mom is alive? I know she is alive now perhaps we could make things work. I can make her happy before she joins you. I know how much she loved you. I can't believe she has been suffering for eight years. I feel like I failed her as a daughter. I know I have a chance to make things right and I'm kinda scared you know. What do I say to her? I hope to find mom soon. I love you Dad" she muttered wiping her teary eyes.

" Audrey we've to leave please," said Victor

" Okay. Bye, dad. I'll come back with Mom. I know you miss her. " She stood up staring at his slate

" Let's go Audrey" he stated leading her to the car.

The plane took off. She looked out of the windows in deep thought then heard a crack. She picked her revolver walking out to meet Victor then saw him fighting some goons. What the hell? how did they get into their private jet. ?Quickly she shot at them killing some while Victor killed the rest then one of the goons shot at the windows bursting it open causing air to suck in like a tornado taking anything in his wake including the dead bodies of the goons.

Audrey held onto something trying to help Victor who wasn't quick enough to run. She reached out to him but it seemed he'll fall since the pilot was losing control anyway.

Audrey panicked, she grabbed a long rod stretching it his way which he caught. She used all the strength she had left to pull him. He tried his best though but the wind threw a big table his way which he tried to dodge but it eventually hit him making him lose grip on the rod.

She ran to catch him before the wind sucks him in. She caught his hand holding him from falling. She was breathing heavily from the weight after all she's a woman.

" Audrey, we'll fall together. Please let go" he yelled as it was too loud.

" Shut up Victor. We're going home together. No one is falling. " She shouts holding the hedge of the plane tight while the copilot who was hit with a knife came tumbling down hitting victor's hand from hers. She screamed as he fell from the plane.

" Victor!!!"
