Hugh held him trying to stop his wheezing while Audrey joined him elevating his head. She was crying already though Peter told her he'll be fine. She rubbed his chest continuously trying to keep his heart warm while they all watched her in surprise.

They wanted to move him.

" Please don't move him. His room is too far. Do you have herbs? Granny, you have right? " She sniffled as granny nodded. She raced to Granny's room instructing Hugh to keep his heart warm till she returns. The allergy wasn't that much but everyone was sad hoping the doctor or Audrey does something about it.

Audrey mixed the herbs and raced back with them. Hugh raised him and she gave him the concoction. The wheezing reduced.

" We can move him now" she voiced as the four friends carried him inside.

He was laid on the bed sweating profusely. She laid beside him trying to keep his heart warm while they awaited the doctor.

To Jenny's surprise, no one said anything to her. No blames no yelling. She did it once when they were young and Mrs. Fiona banned her from entering her house. Weeks later he traveled to the states. Preston Hamilton slapped her for it. Though she wasn't told what she did she knew it involved her putting milk in his coffee.

Lucas was sleeping peacefully and they relaxed. Audrey heaved a sigh of relief. She thought she killed him for sure and it was similar to what happened at the hotel thus she could tell he had an allergy but to what? It wasn't his first time eating pie.

The doctor came and checked him giving strict orders to his diet. Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton nodded and wondered who uses soya milk for pie these days but didn't blame her. She wasn't aware.

Jenny left after the whole plot failed. How did Audrey make them like her that much. ? She cried like a baby when he was wheezing. Is that how she did it? Pretended to be caring and loving? She made a mental note on it.

Genevieve and Bobby stood guard in his room. Granny wouldn't go anywhere either. Stella was quiet too. No one knew about his allergy except his parents and friends. He prohibited the use of milk in his wing. Genevieve found out about it when he was in the army. He refused milk whenever he was offered to drink.

Audrey stared at him sleeping in the bed calmly in deep thought. Was life playing games with her. The Hamilton certainly hates her for sure. They just want him to wake up first but were surprised when granny told her to rest.

" You might fall, sick dear. He'll be fine. You saved him "

" Granny, I hurt him. I'm not going anywhere till he wakes up" she whimpered holding him.

" Let's go, everyone. She can take care of him. I trust her" said granny as they reluctantly left one after the other till it was just her and his parents.

" Audrey, stop blaming yourself. I hope he tells you the truth when he wakes up. " Said, Fiona

" I wish we could tell you but he decides," said Hugh holding his wife as they left.

Audrey clung to him staring at him. She was scared he was leaving her so soon a while ago. She knew she wouldn't have been able to take it.

Lucas slowly opened his eyes looked around and noticed he was in his room. Audrey's hands were on his. He chuckled poking her nose. She shrugged and slept properly. He stood up and went for a bath.

He poured himself a glass of water and drank wondering whether he should tell her or not. She's probably blaming herself but again why did she add soya milk to the pie.

He made his decision and left the room.
