Lucas initially picked another hostess to wait on him hereby limiting his chances of seeing Audrey. He missed how she grumbles and frown when he scolds her which had no effect on the new hostess.

He returned from a three days trip when someone called him.

" Yes bobby?

" Sir, something bad happened to our delivery"

" Which one?

" The wine delivery. Its sour and there are particles inside. The company lied to us. We were scammed"

"Which company made it?

" Starlight wines Sir"'

' put them on hold. Find out what happened? I want that company forgotten for stealing from me"he said angrily ending the call.

The hostess walked in with a tray of wine in her hand.

" Sir, here's the wine you requested" she said politely

" Leave it and get out." He yelled.she left immediately in fear of being strangled.

He opened the bottled wine and poured it into a glass cup. He took a sip and smashed the whole bottle in rage which alerted the security men who sent for Audrey as they were scared of him.

He took another sip and suddenly his eyes was heavy. He felt dizzy all of a sudden. He smelled the wine and perceived something offensive in it. He staggered to get his phone but fell half way there.

Audrey knocked and he didn't open the door. She sighed and decided to go in since he didn't yell. He normally shouts when he doesn't want anyone to enter. She crossed her heart and entered his suite. She raced towards him when she found him lying on the floor breathing heavily.

" Mr Hamilton, what happened? Hold on.' she said worried trying to elevate his position resting him on her chest while calling for an ambulance. He pointed to the cup . She smelled it

" Are you allergic to it? No .were you poisoned? Oh no. " She looked at the cup and noticed he took a little of the wine . She quickly went to the kitchen and prepared a concoction for him. Something she learnt from reading.

She raced to him and saw him almost passed out. She raised his head a little and gave him the concoction to drink making sure he drinks everything. She held him till the ambulance came. They entered the room along with his guards who mostly was surprised. They took him to the hospital.

" What happened? Asked a furious Audrey to the hostess who was crying her eyes out from confusion

" I don't know ma'am. He asked for a bottle of wine which I gave him. I swear I didn't do anything else" she lamented in fear

" He almost died delaney. It's bad for business. It'll ruin the hotels reputation. Our boss might face a lawsuit" she snapped

" Why didn't you taste it first before giving it to him. I told you to always do that or could have served him"

" He sent me out the moment I dropped it . Please ma'am forgive me. Don't tell boss about it" she pleaded on her knees.

" Xander please don't let anyone leave and contact the people that delivered that brand of wine." She ordered without taking a look at the bottle.

She drove to the hospital to represent the hotel to prevent a lawsuit. Poisoning was a serious offense. Should they pursue it the hotel will be closed down for insecurity.making her inefficient. Which means losing her job.

Lucas woke up before they arrived at the hospital. He called Bobb to make sure the starlight company falls. They arrived at the hospital and did some check up. He had an allergy to milk. It seems they added Soya milk to it.

She requested entrance into his ward but the body guards wouldn't agree.

" I'm the manager of the hotel. I want to make sure he's fine"

" We know who you are Miss. We're following orders . Please leave. The boss is out of danger now. " he retorted making her frown

" I just want to see him please. I'm damn worried about him. Mr Hamilton!!" She called severally but he didn't answer

" Tell him I dropped by please. Tell him I'm sorry. I'm going to get to the root of it. "

" We'll do that Miss"

" Are you sure he's awake? Can't I see for myself? She asked in anticipation

" Sorry Miss. No entry family only" said a guard . She wanted to protest again when Ava called her.

" Yes Ava. Can we....." She stopped when she heard sobs on the phone something she hasn't experienced before Ava is thirty. She doesn't weep no matter the situation. She hurriedly left the hospital direct to her company.

She got there and threw the car keys to a boy to park and raced inside.

" Ava what happened? Ian what's wrong? She asked seeing the acting president moody too

" Our wine distribution has been blacklisted. The Hamilton gave us a lawsuit and my warehouse has been seized. Every client we have are complaining of delayed delivery and some are asking for refund. What do I do Audrey? You know Lucas Hamilton right? Please talk to him" she pleaded

" I am so sorry. What happened? Who's unto you? Do you have a business rival ?

" No. Do we Ian? Asked a clueless Ava

" No ma'am. We should talk to custom about it too"

" Ian you do that. I'll have to talk to Ava alone" said Audrey who didn't like Ian from the start

" Yes ma'am" said Ian leaving with a frown . he just hopes they sack her soon. She's Ava's saving grace.
