Chapter 117: Chapter 117

The honeymoon was over and the maids and guards resumed their duties. Audrey requested the presence of her mom and Luke agreed to offer her the north wing in the house.

They went home to the stone house to visit granny. She hugged her on getting there. The first thing granny did was rub her stomach.

" Tell me you're with a child already. It's been over a month" she whispered. Audrey chuckled seeing sense in what she said. She did have recurrent s** within those weeks.

" I'll find out" she muttered as Luke held her waist

" Granny, let's go inside. " He beckoned as granny chuckled

Granny took them to her wing introducing her to her late husband and ancestors. Luke felt bored leaving them to it. She showed her the wedding ceremony of each of them including hers. Audrey watched the century-old videos smiling immediately she saw teenage Lucas in Stella's wedding reception. Granny watched as her expression changed on seeing the troop of girls surrounding Luke.

" He was young then " she coerced but it didn't subside her angry jealous eyes. Granny had to exchange it.

" Audrey, he was just a young boy. He only has eyes for you now. You're his wife despite the flock of girls" she persuaded as Audrey smiled at her phrase' his wife ' yes she was.

Lucas initially took Bobby to his office to talk.

" Are they ready? He asked watching a video coverage

" Yes. They're fed once daily. I think Mrs. Audrey should see them before it's too late" he suggested

" Alright. Let's go. "

Bobby trailed after him following him to granny's wing to get Audrey. She stood upon seeing him. Granny moved slowly to his side whispering what she discovered to him. Luke frowned but nodded.

Audrey kissed granny and hug then left with Luke and Bobby.

" Where are we going?

" To see your worst enemies" he announced.

" I can't wait to see her face," she said scornfully entering the car.

Bobby entered the driver's seat after opening the door for him then drove off. Audrey kept peeking at luke making him uncomfortable.

" Ask" he beckoned

" I saw a video of you surrounded by many girls and you didn't mind" she stated agitated. Luke drew her closer urging her to look at him

" I'm all yours now. Let bygones be bygones" he said coquettishly kissing the corner of her lips seductively

" I'm still jealous. I wish I was there. I would have beat the hell out of them for touching you " she threatened making him laugh at the obvious.

" Don't be. I'm here for you" he said softly as she intends to kiss him but restrained herself on seeing Bobb.

" When we get home" she whispered to him sending tingles to his spines

" I'll keep you to it," he said facing his front while she rests her head on his shoulder fiddling with his necktie.

The hideout was luxurious compared to what she was expecting. Is it a torture House she wondered alighting ready to get even with Viola and Ivy: the two women that almost ruined her life? She clenched her fist angrily but Luke held her hands. She looked at him and calmed down.

" This way Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton," said the head guard as Bobby put his fingerprint then Lucas. The door opened revealing a desolate part of the luxurious building. It was ironic. 'How could there be such an ugly part of a beautiful building'. She wondered taking vengeful steps and finally, they were there.

She saw Viola on the verge of death as all her body was wounded. Deep cuts all over her body which seemed to be infected. She held the urge to puke as the viola saw who it was.

" Finish me off Audrey, isn't that why you are here? I didn't treat you this way. Take my life, Audrey. I'm tired of suffering" she said hoarsely in pain as Audrey walked to her

" How about you stay for eight years. Let's see if you'll survive" she threatened as Viola's eyes lit up in fear

" Please no. I'm sorry I hurt you, Audrey. It's Ivy she told me to do it. Please. I've been suffering for a whole year. Please pity me" she begged with her last strength

" Really? I suppose you have suffered enough. Why don't you end your life right now" she suggested handing her a gun but her shaking her couldn't hold it.

" How are you supposed to do it? I'm not going to do it. "

" I'll do it. I'll do it" she cried urging her to try giving it to her again which Audrey did. She held it pointing it to her skull and the trigger went off leaving her perturbed as Audrey laughed

" No bullets? Please I want to die. There's no point to it. I want to die" she cried but no tear dropped

Luke and Bobby leaned by the wall watching her do her thing.

" Let me think about it. I need to see Ivy " she stated walking to a dark corner to see Ivy as thin as a skeleton. She was surprised to see her like that.

She seemed dead to her. She could guess Luke took his anger out on her for making her lame. Such a pity.

She raised her head and looked her straight in the eye.

" Why did you do that to me? What did I ever do to you? " She yelled as Ivy tried speaking but could only weep

" Answer me. Why did you do it? She screamed but Ivy couldn't utter a word. Hot tears ran down her cheeks in regret

" Why can't she say something? Talk to me, Ivy. I want to hear your stupid excuse. Speak" she yelled as Luke pulled her into a hug.

" Calm down Audrey. Calm down" he caressed her hair slowly as she held him tight sniffling

" I did it because I was tired of answering to the patty. Now it was your turn? When I learned about money I realized what I was meant to be. I just wanted to be somebody. I'm sorry to you Audrey. I couldn't be a loser all my life. I'm sorry" she stated almost inaudible as she spent almost an hour saying it all

Audrey broke from the hug.

" You told me mom was dead. You buried someone in her place. You sold me to Viola. Is that what recognition is all about? Stealing? Mom and dad treated you well. You ruined my life you spawn of the devil " she reprimanded as Ivy started to wheeze.

" What's wrong with her? Asked Audrey who wasn't done talking

" She's weak. So she's dying" answered Bobb.

Audrey ran into Luke's arms as Ivy wheezed for some minutes giving up the ghost. Ivy was dead after sixteen months of torture. She died like a rag doll.

Luke pat her back wondering why she was crying. He admits he'd torture her because of what she did to Audrey. All the same, Ivy had a weak soul which was easily broken, unlike viola.

" I want to go home my love. " She requested as Luke winked at Bobby to take care of Viola

" This way," he said leading her out.

Despite her hatred for her aunt, she couldn't hurt her back. She was already like a corpse. No need for her to torture them anymore. She was fulfilled. She held his waist feeling thankful.

They were about to exit the room when they heard gunshots. She knew Viola was dead. Everything is over. She was free to roam the world. Sometimes there's comfort in discomfort. She wondered if she would have met Lucas had she been living the life in LA perhaps they needed each other. They healed each other: she brought his enemy to his doorstep while he paved the way for her. Life's misery.
