She went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for them. She set the table as the house was vacant according to Lucas's orders. He wanted them to be alone since she refused to travel abroad for their honeymoon.

She looked at the table and smiled compliments of working in a hotel. Luke climbed down from the stairs lazily perceiving the sweet enticing aroma. The tablet was filled with different kinds of breakfast

" Breakfast is served " she announced holding his waist. He drew a chair and sat down looking at the table

" You made all these?

" Yep. Bon appetit" she giggled sitting near him but he tapped his lap instead. She smiled sitting on his lap fiddling with his hair.

" You have to eat enough food. You'll need it " he stated making her chuckle. He fed her himself making sure she was full.

" I'm full luke," she said shoving a cracker in his mouth

" I see " he muffled eating the cracker while she picked other food for him. She giggled noticing his mouth was full

" Cute" she commented pinching his cheeks

" You've had your fun. Wanna go out or you want this" he said pecking her

" Yeah. I want to go out then I want that" she said shyly

" Anything for you" then he recalls her complaint in the bedroom

'" that is if you have anything to wear ." He emphasized it as her face sunk. She didn't have decent clothes to wear.

" Good choice" he murmured

" This place isn't comfy" he carried her to the living room

" He belongs to Audrey now and she's his. There's nothing either of us can do about its because we both like Luke. My father said it was a colorful event. Tight security. Soldiers everywhere. He did love her and I know that now" he narrated taking a glass of brandy

" She can walk now. She can walk. I think we should move on. Learn our lessons. I have learned mine. Should life grant me a second chance at love, I'm going to grab it with everything I have. chase after it till it's reciprocated not in defiance and ruthlessness. The heartbeat for too many reasons to focus on an unkind person. " He gulped down the whole drink pouring Jenny one who took it gulping the whole drink.

For some reason, she thinks Adrian was right. If she had followed him abroad or stay by his side when he lost his elder brother despite his slams and ignorance. She thought they'll sort it out when he returns to Ukraine. How wrong she was. The heart doesn't beat for unpleasant people who have done nothing but rely on her whole emotion instead of hearing from him.

Adrian regrets treating her as a slut years back instead of acknowledging the spark between them. Perhaps she would have loved him if he wasn't ruthless and bossy. He should have listened to his heart. He thought she was going nowhere and he needed to tame her.

" So Jenny what's next?

" Apologize to them. After all, he is my first love perhaps might be the only one cos I have imagined a life with him all my life. I don't know where to start. I don't think I can love another" she stated taking another glass

" Hmmm. They do deserve an apology but not from me. Luke sent me to the hospital twice. I ain't apologizing to him but I could make an exception for Audrey" he uttered as Jenny recalled her beatings as well. Hell, she's not apologizing to her but to Luke.

" I'll see you later. I hope you find the courage to bang p****** again" she mimicked walking out. Adrian laughed calling for his secretary who entered in no time to resume their makeout.

Jenny was in deep thought when she bumped into a hard chest and her worries vanished as she smiled at an amazed Victor who was wondering why she was smiling at him.

' " detective Victor at your command" he stated pressing a light kiss on her palms. He needed to stop thinking of what could have been and focused on what will be.

They ended up talking about coffee exchanging numbers and email. Jenny could tell this was her second chance at love and she is going to grab it, fight for it if the need arises.
