The humiliation happened to be a motivation for Audrey as she was determined to walk again. She forced Wilfred to accompany her every day that Lucas had to talk to her that he's a busy person as well.

" Shouldn't Fred be here by now? She asked sullenly

" He's attending to other clients" he replied massaging her thighs and ankle

" I thought he's a full-time therapist" she voiced rubbing his back

" he's Dad's specialist. Does that answer your question?

" Is he sick? Very sick,? She asked worriedly. To admit she does like luke's family members every one of them. They're not like the wealthy influential family she had heard of. They're so welcoming and loving. She meant well for all of them. Mr. Hugh did so much for her already. She felt terrible hearing him say so.

" It's nothing to worry about. He's been managed for it. Don't tell him I told you. Our secret? He went forward putting his index finger on his lips indicating she shouldn't mention it to anyone

" He's not dying anytime soon. Is he? She asked aggrieved

" No! Of course not. Dad is a strong man. C'mon, what can I do to help? He dropped her leg helping her up

" I want to try walking. It's almost six months. I can't be lame for a year" she whined as he agreed to tutor her in making a step. He held her hand leading her forward urging her to lift her legs which she did.

" Good. Move the other one" he urged as she moved it giggling at her success.

" I did it. Luke, I moved my legs. Maybe I can walk after all" she laughed. Luke watched her in a daze. He's been missing that smile for ages now. She doesn't sound broken anymore. His heart was overjoyed.

" Let's try it again" he stated urging her to take more steps guiding her. She moved again and again and again tripping the last time while pushing Luke down. She giggled at the erotic scene of been on top of him.

" You're enjoying this, aren't you? Perhaps you did it on purpose " he smirked holding her waist staring at her lovingly

" I love you, Audrey. " He muttered locking gaze with her watching as her lips twitched leaning for a kiss but stopped as they heard someone dropping something on the table.

" Sorry for interrupting, Audrey time for your medication" she frowned. One thing she hated was drugs. She takes her drugs four-hourly that she fears for her stomach to develop antibodies against them.

" Thanks, Mrs. Zachary, I'll give it to her," he said still lying down knowingly she can't stand up without his assistance

" Sorry, mom. I kinda tripped his toes. " She said shyly glaring at Lucas who wouldn't let go of her waist

" It's okay. He's my son-in-law no doubt about that. Lucas tends to throw her drugs away. So keep a close watch on her " she warned stepping out

" I don't do that" she denied struggling to get up

" You were about to do something before we were interrupted" he smirked staring at her lips

" Will it hurt you to say Audrey kiss me? She asked jokingly kissing him. It didn't take time for him to part his lips granting her access. Hell, he missed the scene of having her to himself.

His feelings heightened as she deepened the kiss. His hands moved up and down caressing her that he flipped her resuming an intoxicating kiss with her running his hands on her body.

To his surprise, she was doing the same running her hands over his hard chest and arms while caressing his back. She missed him too. He moved to her neck nibbling to her earlobe raining kisses on her clavicles while cupping her breast. She moaned feeling her body tense up beneath him. He always made her overwhelmed with pleasure.

They were enjoying the moment while it dawned on Luke that he was in the gym which means anyone can walk in on them. He controlled himself and raised himself a little staring at her.

She cupped his cheeks panting looking at him stricken with desire for her.

" I don't think we're in the right place to do this," he said trying to control himself as he was adamant to stand up from her

" Yeah. We should probably stop " she turned her head to the side trying not to be desperate

" I know I shouldn't have gone that far till you recover. I couldn't hold it" he muttered standing up from her helping her up.

" That was awkward" she chuckled holding him while looking at his protruding parts as he chuckled too.

" You're lustful Audrey" he teased which stunned her. Nothing escapes him

" We're back to walking. Help me to the stand. I can make it on my whole" she stated ignoring his remarks

" No. I don't want you falling on your butt. I'm your physiotherapist for today" he smirked as she laughed at his first-ever joke.

" It's good to have you back Audrey. " He didn't mind as long as she's happy

" Okay. " She blushed holding him tight which he kinda liked.

He guides her to the stand where she moved little by little. He'd hold her from falling when she missed a step or a pole. she laughed most of the time watching how caring he is.

Ava came to the house hours later booming with joy. She ran to Audrey immediately she laid eyes on her giggling hugging her continuously.

" Ava, you look so happy" she commented smiling as well. It's a good thing to see her smiling she thought.

" Luke, it's girls' talk. Please excuse us" said Audrey as he ignored her pretending he didn't hear her.

" Tell me about it" she finally said as Ava showed her a wedding ring. Audrey smile widened almost to her ears

" I can't believe it. James proposed? You don't mean it " she screamed hugging her

" Yeah. I'm thinking of telling him about the company. It's a good idea, right? She asked as Audrey nodded.

Lucas looked at the ring slightly. Thinking, proposals rings do make girls happy. Is he ready to be married? Have kids? It'll be a good thing to have kids he smiled looking at the excited girls. Audrey was lost in sightseeing that she forgot about Luke.

" We're going to celebrate this. Here in the house. Lucas has a big bar. We can invite a few friends" she suggested.

" No Audrey. The only family is allowed. No party in my mini club " he blatantly refused as she pouts twitching her mouth here and there like a child.

" Please, it's Ava's proposal day. She deserves the best. You can accompany me if you want" she coaxed as he nodded

" Fine. Don't get drunk and don't smoke" he warned walking out on them. How dare she forget about him because of a ring worth a few karats of gold.

Audrey threw a big party in his mini club inviting Lucas's four friends .they danced, smoked all night except Audrey of course. Lucas sent Genevieve to keep an eye on her. She was the host. Announcing the engagement. She pretty much became an MC. Prudence and Patty grooved with them but they were there for her. Ava was in ecstasy, swaying here and there. She and Lola rocked the dance floor as Vanessa whistled urging them to go on.

At the mansion someone was tossing on his bed, unable to sleep. He decided to take a look. He got to the club and saw everyone in excitement. He searched for Audrey with his piercing eyes and saw her burning and serving wine. It was a crazy party.

" Everyone toast to Ava's sleepless nights that finally paid off," said Nate raising a Glass

" To Ava's unwasted sleepless nights" they clanked their glass drinking.

Luke shook his head at their craziness. It's a good thing it's just for the night. He went back to his room in deep thoughts.
