Roman was determined to win Lola's heart chasing her here and there buying her gifts; flowers, jewelry, clothes, tickets. So on just to get her attention but she was playing hard to get frustrating him then he was going to try his luck again. He heaved up and down than knocked on her door nervously.
" Yes? Manuel answered shirtless making him frown
" Where's Lola? He asked furiously glaring at him
" Oh. She's not here. Who are you? He asked puzzled
" What the hell, who are you? He mimicked as Manuel raised his hands in surrender
" I'm her rep. You know representative. I'm crashing here for the time being if you get my point " he explains seriously
" Don't tell me you're her f***boy?
" Kind of but I wouldn't call it that. We're keeping each other company. I mean I'm doing so much for them already"
" I know she's in them there. Lola!!!" He called and called and called till she stepped out yawning
" What is it? It's too early for your gifts? She complained rubbing her eyes
" Shut up. Who is he? Didn't you say I should court you for a month?
" Your time is up Roman. I'm not swayed by you" she said sarcastically holding the doorknob
" That's because we went to see Audrey, your friend. Let's start it again. Tell this loser to get out of here" he blurted out irritated at the sight of him
" Don't want to. Tell him yourself" she dared but before she could finish her words Roman pushed Manuel out of the room shutting the door at his face while he faced her. Her jaw dropped on seeing how fast he acted. Now she was scared to be in the same room with him alone.
" What are you doing? She asked as he stepped closer to her slowly. she moved back to avoid him
" How dare you cheat me. Is he better than me? He's a golddigger I can assure you. Now I'll have to forfeit my wasted days. Time up Lola" he said softly trapping her behind the wall staring at her trembling in his presence
" Cat got your tongue? He teased inches from her almost brushing his nose against hers
" It seems you prefer it this way. You should have said so " he smirked staring at her lips leaning as if to kiss her but didn't he watched the disappointment in her eyes as he withdrew from her and chuckled leaning to kiss her again still withdraw. Her lips parted this time to receive him but he didn't. Lola gritted her teeth pushing him away.
" You want it? Say Time up Lola and maybe we can both visit Audrey together. I heard they're having some family dinner with friends and family. " He smirked as she stopped struggling with him.
" Fine. Time up Roman but you're not allowed to cheat on me either. "
"Oh Please. I expect you to be a possessive kind of person like Audrey. " He demanded
" It depends on how you treat me" she smirked
" Is that a challenge? He asked closing the little space left between them
" Yes but.." she was cut off by his warm kiss. She didn't know what tomorrow had installed for them but damn the consequences. She was going to taste it just like Audrey. After witnessing Lucas's love for Audrey, she suddenly craved to be loved like that. Perhaps she could find it with Roman. Ava and James are damn serious, what's stopping her from falling in love herself? If Roman didn't accuse her of being a whore then she can date him.
" I didn't take you for the mute type" he teased deepening the kiss.
Lola didn't know what to say at the moment so she indulged him then recalled his promises.
" As much as I'll love to finish this. Audrey first. You promised" she exclaimed as he smirked
" I'm a man of my word. This way my lady " he huffed. She was about to move when he stopped her
" Don't tell me you're not a morning person. " He asked checking her from her toes to her head than from her head to her toes as she followed his gaze and felt embarrassed. He might think she's a dirty girl but he kissed her, right? She sneered rushing to the bathroom for a bath.
It was Lucas family day; normally celebrated as a day for the whole family to dine together in unity. Jenny and Adrian were present as they were representing their family or they came because of a certain someone.
Everyone was seated having a sumptuous dinner including Audrey; seated beside Lucas. She ate herself but noticed Adrian staring at her from time to time. Maybe he's not aware of her predicament which means Jenny wasn't too. How embarrassing it'll be perhaps it'll be fun for Jenny to see her wallow on a wheelchair.
It was so unfortunate that Mr. Hugh raised a glass for a toast which was traditional. She didn't want to make a fool of her self so she just sat down sipping her drink while involving in it as Lucas blinked at her to raise her glass. Everyone was on their toes except her which baffled Jenny. It was unlike her to disrespect the Hamilton family tradition or maybe they're letting her off too like last time.
Granny made a toast next follows by Luke then Mrs. Fiona. The line continued whilst Audrey remained routed to her chair just raising and drinking wine which increased Jenny's suspicion. Patty didn't like the way Jenny was looking at her daughter. She was glaring at her as Jenny noticed someone boring holes on her and looked her way. Who is she by the way? She will find out sooner or later.
Food was served by the cooks as the Michelin chief dished it.
Lola and Roman entered making everyone looked their way.
" Hello, people am I late? Forgive my altitude " he stated taking a seat while drawing one for Lola who looked at him lovingly.
" It's okay. You're just in time for dinner " said granny urging them to pop a very big bottle of expensive wine
The family's dinner ended whilst everyone left the dining table one after the other but Jenny sat down looking at Audrey, surprised at her calmness. Something is off she suggested.
Of course, she saw her staring daggers at her but ignored it. She can't do anything while been a cripple. Once again she was furious glaring at Jenny who stiffened at her sudden change of mind but it was replaced by mockery by the time she saw Lola rolling an automatic wheelchair.
She heard the urge to laugh cos Lucas was staring at her intensely. Adrian said nothing either but smiled mischievously.
