Chapter 312: Chapter 312
Then, watching the two, he smiled.
Chadite, having mastered the Spell to enter dreams, could now autonomously choose whether to awaken from one.
Looking at Lucilia in surprise, she couldn’t help but ask, "Can I create people in the Dream Realm now?"
"No, I am the real Lucilia."
"Really? You can leave your Dream Realm?" Chadite asked in surprise.
Although she could autonomously wake up from her dreams and, through the Spell, begin to drastically alter her Dream World, she still couldn’t leave her Dream Bubbles.
Alka’s Dream Catcher emerged from the mist, enveloping Chadite.
"Now you can go out too."
With that, Alka grabbed them and flew directly out of the Dream Bubbles.
They arrived in the bizarre world outside.
"Is this the Dream World? How strange it is."
Anyone who came to this Dream World for the first time would marvel at its peculiarities.
"What about the dream creatures you mentioned yesterday? Where are they?" Lucilia asked from beside him.
"I only saw that arm. The other two creatures aren’t around here," Alka said, pointing to the arm outside Pororo’s Dream Bubbles.
Thinking back now, it was truly a pity, he thought. I should have dealt with that Dream World’s Death God last night; it might have yielded notable rewards.
He took them on a thorough tour of the Dream World, greatly satisfying their curiosity.
Calculating the time, it was almost up.
Alka suggested, "We should head back. It’s almost time. If we don’t want to look exhausted tomorrow, we should get a good night’s sleep."
Then, he led the two back the way they came.
"This bubble is different," Lucilia suddenly said, pointing at a bubble beside them.
Hearing her words, Alka turned to look. He couldn’t help but stop flying.
Then he moved closer to that bubble.
This bubble... this bubble belongs to a land creature. Is there an island nearby?
The bubbles of marine creatures were easy to recognize, as they were filled with seawater. So much so that Alka could tell from the outside that marine creature bubbles were always blue, with the exception of amphibians. But from the appearance of this bubble ahead, one could see it likely contained blue skies and white clouds.
Unable to contain his curiosity, he leaned his head in. The two beside him followed suit.
When the three poked their heads inside, they saw a lush forest. Since it was an animal’s Dream Realm, the area was quite small.
They immediately saw the owner of this dream: a creature resembling a rabbit, frantically gnawing on some kind of plant. It was very fitting for an animal’s Dream Realm.
"There’s an island around here; there are islands around us!" Alka exclaimed.
Upon saying this, Alka quickly led the two back towards his own Dream World.
Although he was unsure of the direction, a terrestrial creature’s Dream Realm had indeed appeared. This meant that near their current location in the Real World, there had to be an island. Otherwise, such living terrestrial creatures could not exist.
After returning to their respective worlds, Alka woke up directly.
He immediately got out of bed and ran to the lookout room.
「It was now the latter half of the night.」
The night watchman was Juanlu. Seeing Alka rush in, he looked somewhat confused.
Alka did not speak, instead looking outside. He began to calculate, based on the principle of inversion in the Dream Realm. For example, Lucilia and Chadite, who should be sleeping above him, would appear in Dream Bubbles below his own. What was on the left would appear on the right. That was the general principle; although there could be some deviation, it wouldn’t be too significant.
He began to recall his orientation within the Dream Realm. Updates are released by 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹⟡𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮⟡𝙣𝙚𝙩
Good, I didn’t miss it.
According to my calculations, the rabbit’s Dream Realm should be ahead and to our right. If we adjust course, we should encounter it. We’re constantly advancing. If the rabbit’s Dream Realm were behind or beside us, we’d have no chance. But if it’s diagonally ahead, we can still reach it.
After a brief exchange with the Sound of Dawn, the ship began to change direction.
Only then did Alka turn back and say, "I’ve discovered an island. I’d like to take a look."
Juanlu nodded in understanding. He began to feel a little excited too. After all, this was the first island they had encountered since leaving the Homeland Sea. Without sea charts, all they knew was to advance; they had no information about other islands, let alone how to reach them.
After chatting for a few more moments with Juanlu, Alka returned to his room to continue resting.
In the Dream Realm, not only did directions invert, but distance also became abstract. However, since I was able to encounter the rabbit’s Dream Realm, it means it couldn’t be too far, despite how distant it might have seemed. It’s still within this general area. If we truly find an island and haven’t missed it, the Sound of Dawn will navigate to it on its own. I won’t need to keep a constant watch.
Alka slept for several hours. Just as the sky began to lighten, enchanting music drifted over.
Hearing the music, Alka opened his eyes and hurriedly stepped out of his room.
Sure enough, an island came into view in the distance. From this angle, it didn’t look very large, perhaps not even as big as Golden Wheat Island.
Then, the crisp ringing of a bell was heard.
It was Juanlu in the lookout room, calling everyone.
