Trash of a Wealthy Family: My Gacha System Guarantees S-Rank Rewards Chapter 54
"So the limit is 1:10, right? I have around 10 days, so 100 days in here. And it should take about 3 months to open the 6th node at my speed. So let’s set it up to maximum," I decided.
[Hold your horses, Host. You would suffer from Time deviation. Your body has the best adaptability, so you could push it to its limits.]
[However, if you remain under such time dilation for a long time. You may not be fit for the tournament you are aiming for.]
The caution from the system grounded me.
"So what’s the limit bearable for me at present?" I asked.
[Set the ratio to 1:3; you can withstand that easily. And 30 days’ time should be enough to reach your goal.]
[Also, stop comparing yourself to other geniuses or prodigies; none of them have Infinite-rank Origin Heart or Transcendent-rank Breathing technique.]
"Thanks for the confidence, system," I stated and followed the advice of the system.
[You have set the time flow of the selected area to 1:3.]
The notification confirmed my choice. "Just out of curiosity, what would be the effect if I set it to maximum?" I asked.
[These are the side effects of staying in time dilation for a long time:
– Time Drag (the world will feel sluggish, with delayed movements and overcompensation in combat)
– Temporal Desync (misjudging time outside dilation, your internal clock won’t match with current reality)
– Temporal Overshoot (you will finish your action before intended, difficulty in maintaining precision)
There are also effects on timeline and reality itself, but that’s in case of longer duration.]
"Okay, not thinking about it," I stated after seeing the effect; the system was right. If that happened, all my strength and preparation will be for nothing.
[You don’t have to worry too much; your physiology will adapt, and you won’t feel the effects mentioned at the current ratio.]
"Much better," I commented, then started looking for something to sit on.
I found a few large stones and arranged them to sit comfortably. I had mats in my inventory, but during cultivation it’s beneficial if you stay close to nature, so I decided to sit on a stone.
First, I sat in the Primordial Anchor Seat and started practicing the First Breath of Primordial.
My goal was to open at least my 6th node at minimum. This was the requirement to start forming an affinity ring around the origin heart.
Every affinity ring required nodes to balance out the elemental force and keep the rings stable.
As I continued the breathing, I also noticed the effects of the calm environment provided by The Eternal Tree. The mana here gave the feeling of cultivating near mana veins.
Slowly, as I pushed mana from all over my body through the nodes that were already opened and then towards the closed node to open it.
The process was slow and tedious; as more nodes are unlocked, there is higher difficulty in opening the following nodes. I started chipping away at the blockage of my 4th node, slowly but incomparably faster than normal cultivators.
It felt slow because the amount of mana gathered by the breathing was then pushed towards opening the node, yet it felt like only scraping.
This was going to be a long 30 days....

[3rd Person POV]
A young man was sitting in a chair; the glow from the mana lamp was only focused on the piece of paper he was reading. The surroundings were completely silent, but a sudden knock on the door disturbed the peace of the room.
"Enter," the young man, Nathan, responded.
Opening the gate, a man in a black mask bent on his knee and spoke, "Greetings, Young Master. I brought news from the demon continent," the masked man stated.
"Speak, but is there anything new about movement in the sea?" Nathan asked.
"Yes, young master. The most prominent information is that it has been around 5 days, but there has been silence from White Claw pirates after their recent upheaval in the sea," the masked man shared.
"They must be laying low after their recent run; they may have offended someone with close ties to power. If there’s nothing else, proceed forward," Nathan spoke.
"Pardon me, young master, but there has been complete silence from their side. Even their own people on land are unable to contact them. Their last contact was 5 days ago; from then on, there is no news of them." The masked man said.
"Also there has been no news or any movement from the soldiers of the Council or the Royal Army from this side that suggests their sudden disappearance," he added.
"Hmm...that’s worth looking into. Try to find out what happened to them; do anything necessary to get this information. Now about the Demon continent, is there any news about Aiden?" Nathan asked further.
"Yes, young master, that is one of the reasons I came here," the masked man confirmed.
"Tell me about Aiden first," Nathan demanded.
"Aiden reached Kronesthion yesterday. Although her maid was nowhere to be seen. He also had some type of confrontation with the young master of the Valsard family..." As the masked man was reporting, Nathan interrupted.
"The family that has been on the rise recently due to dungeons, right?" he asked.
"Yes, young master. Then Aiden registered in the upcoming tournament in Kronesthion, where he was objected to by Rhegar Valsard, the young master of the Valsard family."
"He was put under suspicion and faced the unnecessary scrutiny of the invigilator Derek Valsard." The masked man shared the incident.
"It also was revealed that Aiden is a dual ability user. And using the unjust scrutiny of the invigilator, he also secured a possible favor from him." He finished speaking.
"He was always good at using rules to his favor; that’s the only frightening thing about him," Nathan remarked as he clenched his fist, crumpling the piece of paper in his hand. He started contemplating silently.
’At last, you reached Kronesthion, on time no less. Did you sacrifice your maid, Aiden? No, you won’t change that much; otherwise, you would have just gone back to your clan.’ His thoughts churned.
’Then where did your maid go? And then there’s news about you being a dual-ability user. Just what the hell happened to you?’ he questioned internally.
"Confirm the news about him being a dual ability user. And if he really is, try to find the rank of his second ability," he ordered.
"Also, did nobody take the bait we threw about Aiden?" he asked.
"With the Arclight name associated, many refused to take action. Only one pirate group was interested, White Claw," the masked man answered.
"What!" Nathan exclaimed as his eyes widened.
His brain started overheating with the possibility he was considering. And if he was right, Aiden has become a completely different and bigger enigma than he initially thought.
