Trash of a Wealthy Family: My Gacha System Guarantees S-Rank Rewards Chapter 44

[3rd Person POV]

"Boss, there is something out there," a pirate came running and barged into the room.

"Boss, the water had become still; please come outside," came another one, totally disheveled.

"What’s this commotion? Can’t you guys handle a few beasts trying to attack us? Are you guys purposely trying to mock me?" The Redbeard shouted again, but an ominous feeling arose in his heart.

"Tsk, let’s check. First, I will one-shot that pesky creature, and then I would need to kill a few of you to make an example," he added and started to walk towards the deck.

His heart was full of bitterness. "He has never been defeated and shamed like this. If he doesn’t have something to show for it, he will be more humiliated. You will have to do beast; I just hope you are decent enough in size."

However, just as he stepped his foot on deck, he felt something deep in his aching bones. Something he rarely felt: the need to run for life.

He gritted his teeth; in the span of a few hours, he had to face the same feeling twice. ’That fucker Aiden, he sure was hiding something, being able to take a punch from me and still having the ability to stand.’

’Just let me get healed myself, and I will personally hunt you down. Even if I have to travel to land. There’s no place you can hide me.’

’And that bitch, I will use you first and then sell you into the most famous brothels of Succubus Cities.’

While he was making his plan for hunting Aiden and Seraphine, he was taking this threat as something he could get out of just by talking.

Thalassa had yet to show herself, but all the pirates in the vicinity felt inexplicable pressure already.

Redbeard, trying to be brave, addressed the air, "O noble being, my lowly self bows before you. If we unknowingly have travelled into your domain. I humbly beg you to let us lesser beings pass through from here."

Generally, he would have offered his crew, but at first try he wanted to avoid that. Because he lost more crew in the fight against Aiden than he could afford.

He was addressing "a beast" like that because as the ranks of beasts increase, their intelligence matches or even surpasses that of humans. They also very rarely attack people unless provoked.

While he was doing mental math as to how many crew members he may need to sacrifice to secure his exit. The still water moved a little, and something started to emerge from the water.

As Thalassa started to rise, Redbeard’s heart sank more and more; he had never heard or seen about such a creature in the entire span of sea between Revonia and Kronesthion.

And he was ruling this sea for a few decades. As his thoughts churned for survival, he, along with every other pirate, came to their knees like it was the most natural thing.

As the humongous and unfathomable head and slight upper body of Thalassa came into complete view. Every beating heart there knew in their thoughts this was their final moment.

Generally, it would be difficult to understand the expression of such a huge face. However, everybody, including Redbeard, can see clearly a cruel smirk on the face of the beast, if they can even see that.

Thalassa spoke, just for her amusement, "Won’t you beg for your life, one-handed leader?"

The pressure eased slightly, only for Redbeard to enable him to speak, "I bow in front of the great being. We weren’t aware of your great presence; we were just passing through. We were ambushed by a powerful cultivator, which also erected this huge wall in front of us."

"If you could be magnanimous and allow us to live. We will swear by our name that we will hunt them as they trespassed into your domain and present them to you to bestow punishment."

A cruel smile formed in his mind; unaware about his own situation, he was trying to plant the seeds to create a long-term enemy for Aiden.

"If you were blocked by this wall, why didn’t you turn back and go the other way?" She spoke, and a pressure greater than before descended on everybody as their faces fell flat on the ground.

’Shit, just where did this damn beast come from? How do I get out from this?’ He started running his brain but could not find any answer.

"Ahh..." they heard a sigh from the beast, Thalassa, like it was too tiresome for her to even hear their plea. "I thought you would be a bit interesting, but you are just trying to frame my Aiden when he is the one who summoned me."

"Just die already; you guys are no fun," Thalassa spoke like a bored judge who didn’t want to hear any arguments and just announced the verdict.

Suddenly, all the ships and the pirates along with them felt a pressure that hundred folds more than they were already feeling. It crushed them and pulled them into the sea. It was made painful by Thalassa on purpose, but they couldn’t even scream as they died violently.

The last thoughts on Redbeard’s mind were, ’Just who is Aiden, capable of summoning such a monstrosity? I never stood a chance, did I?’

SPLAT!

After this moment, the entire White Claw pirate crew was buried under the sea, and nobody would know how they died.

"Well, I completed his orders; should I just go back to him?" Thalassa pondered.

"Nah, let’s roam this sea a bit more and wait for him to unlock my full powers. Then I would come running to you, my little Aiden," she spoke to herself.

Her miles-long body entered the depths of the sea, and the surface became normal again, like it never witnessed the massacre of an entire group.

[Aiden’s POV]

After parting ways with Thalassa and having a look at Seraphine’s conditions, I locked myself in the room. Devoting my entire time to cultivation.

Felicia would bring food and talk with me; this always cheered me up. Thane managed the other summons in my stead; he was unexpectedly good at this.

With the blessing of Thalassa, the arduous journey to cross the storm became much easier. The storm was still threatening and troublesome, but A.B. navigated through it with precision, and we almost crossed the storm in about a day.

As 36 hours passed and time for Seraphine to wake up neared, there was a little bit of uneasiness and slight anger towards her.

She had tried to sacrifice herself, and I planned to scold her for taking such a risk. But I also knew in my heart, if she hadn’t, we would have been in much more different conditions.

Felicia and I were sitting near her, waiting for her to wake up.

"Mister, when will big sis wake up?" Felicia asked with her lovely voice.

"Very soon, don’t worry," I reassured her.

As she hovered above Seraphine, suddenly there was slight movement in Seraphine’s eyelids, her breathing rose a bit, and suddenly she shot up. Felicia flew back in response.

"Master..." a shout came from Seraphine’s mouth as soon as she sat up.

"Hyuu! Big sis, you finally woke up!" Felicia tried to hug her with her small stature.

Gaining a bit of semblance, Seraphine spoke in a confusing tone, "Master, Felicia, I am alive!?"
