Chapter 93: Chapter 93

Jonea manages to break into Abraham's family home. She went all the way to the dining room. Mrs. Abraham was sitting enjoying her lunch alone.

She wasn't surprised when she saw Jonea standing before her with a face full of anger. Mrs. Abraham put down her knife and fork before wiping her mouth with a napkin.

Two large bodyguards came running out of breath. They were so sorry for letting Jonea off the hook.

As the two bodyguards were about to drag Jonea away, Mrs. Abraham raised a finger and ordered them to let the girl there.

The two bodyguards walked backward, leaving the dining room. Now there is only Jonea and Mrs. Abraham facing each other.

"Why was it so hard to listen to me and get you to come here? Should I make the people around you suffer first, then you will listen to me?"

Mrs. Abraham rose from her seat. She waved her hand at the dining table.

"Want to rest first? I can serve tea as well as lunch for you."

Jonea ignored the woman's offer, which she was sure was full of pretense.

"On the way here," Jonea said between her gasps and pounding heart. "I keep thinking about how to beat you. I admit, you are indeed a smart woman. I also know you have strength and power that I can't match."

Mrs. Abraham smiled with satisfaction at Jonea's confession. She left her lunch and walked over to Jonea, who stood stiffly.

"What does it mean when you decide, Jonea Fallon?"

Jonea stared hard into Madam Abraham's eyes. The girl women fearless and showed no intimidation in front of Madam Abraham. Jonea had faith and confidence in facing the haughty woman before her.

"Yes, I have made my decision!" cried Jonea.

"Are you finally going to give up and not bother anymore about the case that happened to your twin brother–Miller Fallon?"

Jonea took a deep breath before saying what was on her mind.

"Yes! I'm going to stop uncovering the facts behind Miller's accident. I will also be withdrawing from school. In return, please return all the things that you have stolen from the people around me. Return their freedom and rights. They have nothing to do with me nor the things I did to you nor this school."

Mrs. Abraham folded her arms over her chest. "It seems you are more responsive than I thought. You're a smart girl, Jonea. It's just that you're a little stubborn. If you had realized earlier and hadn't gone too far, perhaps these terrible things would never have happened."

Jonea silently clenched her fists. She tried not to flinch and held her head and back high in front of Mrs. Abraham.

"That means you–"

"I really failed to reveal the facts behind the accident that happened to Miller," interrupted Jonea quickly. "But that doesn't mean I lost."

Mrs. Abraham's face suddenly hardened. She didn't know what Jonea was thinking and planning at the moment.

"Right now, you are in charge," continued Jonea. "But, your power will not be able to last forever. Sooner or later, Hunter will lead Pack Abraham and replace you to lead the Abraham Group."

Mrs. Abraham blinked for a moment. She felt a twitch at the corner of her lips.

"Hunter has marked me as his mate. Now, I will rule the Hunter." Jonea said as if she had just splashed hot water on Mrs. Abraham's face.

Mrs. Abraham's arms stretched out to her sides. Her fingers started to clench. The woman was unsteady and holding on to the back of the chair.

It was Jonea's turn to take a step forward and approach Mrs. Abraham.

"Indeed, I see a resemblance between you. You and Hunter are no different. You both have big ambitions to get what you want. It doesn't matter which method you use. At first, it bothered me a lot. Including when Hunter was constantly trying to get me and make me a mate. I kept resisting and dodging. I realize that is the only way to defeat you, Mrs. Abraham."

Mrs. Abraham gritted her teeth. Her eyes started to become unfocused.

"I know. For you, Hunter is everything. Everything you have means nothing if Hunter is not on your side."

"Stop!" hissed Mrs. Abraham.

"He has decided to make me his mate. Hunter has tagged me. Of course, you already realized that. Hunter has become a person who hates you in business. He will not be the person you want him to be. He will never listen to you again if you kill me to separate me from him. He will only get hurt and worse when he loses his mate."

Mrs. Abraham completely lost the smile on her face. The woman stared intently at Jonea, and it was obvious that she was hurt. Mrs. Abraham looked away and turned to the window.

"Not surprising at all!" cried Mrs. Abraham in as calm a voice as she could. "Things always revolve around you, Jonea. You can control everything by being marked by a Hunter and becoming his mate. You are extraordinary. You have changed, Hunter. He always obeys and listens to my every word and order. Now, turned into a young man who is very rebellious and no longer believes in me. But that's the point. Ignorance is a very terrible thing. Because it can lead someone to a mistake that will be regretted for the rest of their life.

"What do you mean?" asked Jonea, starting to hesitate.

"When you stand before me, you remind me of your twin brother–Miller Fallon. He has also stood in the same place as you and faced and talked to me. The words you speak are almost identical, though not exactly the same. Of course, he wasn't talking about Hunter. But something much bigger and more dangerous."

Jonea started to doubt and get nervous. She had yet to learn that Miller had ever come there and spoken to Mrs. Abraham in person.

Jonea's mind began to scramble. 'What are these two doing and talking about here? Was it the day Miller had his accident? Was it about contracts and research?'

Mrs. Abraham left the window and walked up to Jonea quietly. There were absolutely no intimidating stares at Jonea.

"Before we continue this conversation, I want to tell you that I will replace everything. I will compensate for all the losses you and the people around you have experienced due to my actions. I'm sorry, Jonea, for all the bad things I've done to you. But, if I didn't do that, then we would never be able to talk today."

Jonea was getting angrier. "I don't understand what you're saying!"

"I have something important to tell you." Mrs. Abraham glanced at the door.

An assistant was standing there. The man nodded and came with a file.

"I want to talk about the problem that happened to Miller. I want you to know the truth."

Mrs. Abraham stared at the document that her assistant had just given her.

"This matter is directly related to Hunter's life, your life, and those around us."
