Chapter 91: Chapter 91

"So your mother was involved?" Jonea suddenly appeared in the reading room with a disappointed expression and felt that she had been playing.

They all immediately stood up from their seats.

"That's not it," said Hunter, trying to clear up the misunderstanding.

"From the start, I really didn't believe you all. Especially the Director of the Abraham Foundation. You all planned from the start to trap Miller and the other students. The bullying and crimes you committed will never be forgiven."

"Jonea, you misunderstood!"

"Then tell me the truth so I don't misunderstand!"

However, Hunter and company were silent. Not a word left their lips. This irritated Jonea even more.

"Fine, if none of you want to explain. Then, I can directly meet with the Director of the Foundation to confirm it. I don't want to continue to be a fugitive. I want to finish it, manly."

Jonea took two steps back before running out of Elmar's house.

"Jonea! No, wait! You misunderstood!" shouted Hunter while chasing the girl.

Aland's steps were faster. He had already moved places and was blocking Hunter. Aland's jaw enlarged and formed a wolf's muzzle. He restrained Hunter from catching up with Jonea.

"I don't want to be stopped," Hunter replied with an even sharper look at Aland. "I don't want any more misunderstandings between us and Jonea. I have to explain to her."

"If you step up and catch up with her, you will hurt her even more!" Aland threatened.

Elmar and Edison couldn't just sit idly by and watch their two best friends clash. They stood up and tried to separate them.

"Aland, give Hunter a chance," Elmar begged.

Aland still insisted and refused.

Ed tried to pull Hunter away from the door, but he struggled.

Elmar also held Aland and asked him to talk seriously. Just then, Hunter started chasing Jonea. He didn't want Jonea to do something reckless and regret it later.

Jonea ran like a madman. She leaves Elmar's house with one goal in mind–to meet Mrs. Abraham.

Before hearing B4's conversation in the reading room, Suzane had visited Jonea in her room while bringing tea and cookies.

"You haven't eaten since you got here."

"I'm not in the mood to eat," Jonea replied. "Thanks for all your kindness, Suzane. I don't want to bother you anymore. I have to go and check on Marlyn."

"I told you, Jonea. Before you worry about other people, think about how you are doing yourself. Marlyn is currently doing well. She is well cared for in the hospital. Eat; you must restore your energy before fighting back against the world."

Suzane walked over to the window. She leaned back while looking at Jonea.

"I… don't challenge the world," Jonea argued.

"Yep! But that's exactly what you're doing right now. There's no way you don't realize who the opponent you're facing is."

Jonea gasped. "So you know the real problem?"

"It's always been like that since long ago." Suzane took a deep breath and then turned to Jonea. "The boys; Elmar and company. Yes, they are spoiled children. But, believe me, they would not do something as despicable and that bad."

"If not them, who did it? Only they have that much power in the school. It's not the first time I've seen them bullying and hurting weak students. In fact, even their victims must end up in rogues."

Suzane shook her head.

"Not exactly like that. B4 is the Alphas. It is Alpha's duty and obligation to discipline its citizens. Most of the students who attend Abraham High School come from packs affiliated with pack members of B4. THERE IS A POLITICAL RELATIONSHIP between B4 and students, like between a leader and his people."

"People? You mean, slave?" Jonea pouted.

Suzane pretended not to hear her. "What did B4 do to the students in the school that you think bullying is actually a punishment for those who have violated the rules of their respective packs."

Jonea is still skeptical. "Then, how do you explain the bullying that students from the human race experience at school?"

"Some students often make a mess outside of school. The Pack and their families can't even control it. Because of that, the alphas of B4 took over the administration of the punishment through the school's rules. Suppose you pay close attention and dig deeper into that information. In that case, I assure you that the students punished by B4 are students from the trouble-making Pack."

"Nonsense!" said Jonea. "You're just trying to defend them. Obviously, I know that Miller and Michael, both students from the human race, also get bullied from B4."

Suzane came over and patted Jonea on the shoulder. "If you had proof, then you would have demanded responsibility from B4 first. Because they never punish human students."

Jonea felt like she had been slapped. That's why she came to Abraham High School–to find the evidence. So far, Jonea has been blinded by the prejudice that the culprit is B4. Thus, all the evidence and clues she collected continued to lead her to error.

"So you're saying that certain parties are trying to use the name B4 to bully the human race?"

Suzane couldn't say yes, but she couldn't argue either.

"You have to have strong evidence before accusing someone. Isn't that what you're trying to do right now? And I think you're getting closer to that answer."

Jonea seemed to have just received an epiphany in life. All the events she experienced also happened to Marlyn, completely beyond the capabilities of B4. The attacks they received, even leading to Ashley's murder, could not be done by just any werewolf. They are also bound by laws and rules.

"Every clue I look for leads me to one person."

"Who is it, Jonea?"

"Director of the Abraham Foundation, Mrs. Abraham. Mother of Hunter Abraham. Am I wrong?"

Suzane looked away and returned to staring out the window. "I don't know. It's been a long time since I left that school."

Jonea was even more surprised. "You were involved with Abraham High School?"

"Of course. B4 was formed not without reason. They are the Alpha heirs who must control the students in the school. Meanwhile, the parents form a special committee that manages and handles the Abraham Foundation. Until a few years ago, Mrs. Abraham took over everything and dissolved the school committee."

Jonea pursed her lips.

"If I could turn back time," Suzane said. "I will go back to when I still had energy and courage like you. I will fight and defend my honor before everyone. Unfortunately, the woman was like a fox instead of a wolf. She is very cunning. She took advantage of our weaknesses and shortcomings and turned it into a scandal we couldn't handle."

"Was it a scandal when you reportedly snatched someone else's husband and fell into an alcohol depression?" Jonea asked very carefully.

Suzane laughed softly and looked up to hold back the tears from falling.

"That is truly vicious slander. She destroyed all of our lives."

Suzane closed her eyes. Her husband has been dead for a long time. She had to become a single mother for Elmar and achieve success so that Elmar could hold his head high.

"The position of Director of the Foundation was held by Hunter's grandfather before he died. After that, the position of Director of the Foundation was held by Hunter’s father. We often interact for foundation programs. Then, the jealous Mrs. Abraham started making very vicious slander."

"Hunter’s father was removed from his position as Director of the Foundation. He was exiled under the pretext of managing a company abroad. That woman also made me give up by creating a scandal. I was slandered by seducing her husband and being a heavy alcoholic. So my important position in the foundation was abolished. My career and life in the entertainment world were destroyed just one night. I really became an addict after that."

Jonea had reached the highway. She kept thinking about Suzane's words. Hunter's mother is the meanest woman and can do anything.

"I must find strong evidence if the culprit is that woman."

Unfortunately, until now, Jonea has never found direct evidence. The contract of becoming an object of research signed by Miller also cannot be used as evidence. Because Jonea took it illegally–stole it.

Jonea waved to stop an oncoming taxi. When the taxi started to slow down, Hunter immediately grabbed Jonea and hugged her.

The taxi has stopped. The driver rolled down the window and asked, "Are you guys going to get on?"

Jonea pushed Hunter's chest and opened the cab door. Hunter kicked the cab door shut again.

"Go! We don't need a taxi!" Hunter shouted at the taxi driver.

The taxi driver was frightened and immediately left them.

"You?" Jonea shouted in protest.

Hunter grabbed both of the girl's shoulders and looked at her seriously. "Don't go anywhere, let alone see my mother. I won't let you do that."

"You don't want your mother's mistakes to be exposed?"

Hunter gritted his jaw. He immediately pulled Jona in a hug. "Because I don't want you to get into trouble. Stop it, Jonea. Stop right here, right now! If my mother is proven and involved in all the incidents that made you suffer, I will punish her with my own hands. So, I beg you. Be patient until things become clearer."

Jonea's chest rumbled violently. She rebelled and wanted to get away from Hunter. However, Hunter hugged Jonea even tighter and more possessively.

At that time, Aland caught up. He was standing about a few feet behind them, who were embracing. Aland clenched his fists tightly.
