Chapter 8: Chapter 8
"Ah, sorry. I shouldn't bother you. I've been too presumptuous to talk to you. Even though I know you don't like people who talk a lot. I go first!"
The male student suddenly stood up, cleaned up his lunch, and left Jofa alone.
"Hey!" shouted Jofa. "Wait, what's your name?"
The student didn't listen.
Lunchtime is over. Jofa rushed back to her class. However, when she reached the hallway leading to the classroom, she noticed that there was a crowd there.
Hunter just returned from the gym with members of B4. His clothes were wet with sweat. He strolled while joking with Ed. Behind him were Aland and Elmar, who were also talking.
A student suddenly blocked Hunter's steps.
"Hunter," said the girl with a shy face.
The other students who happened to be there immediately realized something interesting would happen. They all immediately gathered around the Hunter and the girl.
With a tired face and partly wet hair, Hunter responded lazily to the girl. "What do you want?"
Suddenly the girl stretched out her hand. She gave Hunter a towel and a bottle of orange juice.
"You must be tired after working out. I brought orange juice for you!"
"Whooah...!" All the students who were there cheered.
"How dare she try to get Hunter's attention?" grumbled the other girls.
Hunter just stood before the girl. He stared intently at the towel and orange juice proffered by the girl.
Hunter took the orange juice from the girl's hand after glancing sideways at Ed beside him.
"Wow, Hunter accepted it!" said the other students. The atmosphere was full of excitement.
The girl felt delighted. She couldn't stop smiling and almost jumped for joy when Hunter accepted the orange juice she offered.
Hunter began to uncork the orange juice bottle. Hunter suddenly poured juice over the girl's head with an annoying grin.
"Wooaah!"
Everyone screamed in shock. No one thought Hunter would douse the girl with the orange juice she gave.
One of the students from dorm two who claimed to be a big fan of B4 suddenly pushed his way through the crowd and spoke, "Hunters don't drink juice carelessly. He only drinks organic fresh fruit juices."
Without saying much, Hunter immediately left the girl, who started sobbing. She was very embarrassed because her hair and clothes were wet. The girl ran to the accompaniment of derisive cheers.
When Hunter was about to head to the locker room, his steps stopped. Jofa stopped him.
"Is there anything you want to say?"
Jofa stood in the middle of the road with a face full of anger. She didn't give Hunter and the members of B4 a walk.
"You!" Jofa shouted at Hunter.
'There are so many things I want to tell you!' thought Jofa. 'You have absolutely no ethics and manners!'
Jofa's index finger pointed towards Hunter's chest.
'I didn't expect you to be humble. But, at least be kind to others. What's wrong with accepting that orange juice from her? Even if you don't like it, you must accept it.'
Jofa really wanted to release all those words in front of Hunter. But, when Hunter looked at Jofa with that deadly grin, Jofa suddenly discouraged him.
"Why are you pointing the finger at me?" he snapped.
'No!' thought Jofa. 'I have to say it so he stops annoying and bothering the other students.'
The girl closed her eyes. She thought about the words she would say.
'What would you do if that girl jumped off the roof like Michael? You bastard!' shouted Jofa in her own mind.
Again, Jofa couldn't say all those words directly before Hunter.
"What's wrong with you? Well!" asked Hunter with his fierce and scary face. "Anything you want to say?"
Jofa swallowed hard. She lowered her index finger and glanced at the other members of B4. They smiled to themselves, seeing Jofa's attitude, which looked doubtful, having previously been very brave to stop Hunter in the middle of the aisle.
"No!" said Jofa. "There isn't any!" She shook her head.
"You freak!" said Hunter as he walked past Jofa arrogantly.
Aland caught up with Hunter's steps. He glanced at Jofa and smiled with amusement.
Jofa was very embarrassed. She felt like she had indeed become a loser. What Aland said was right. Jofa only dared to bully and shout behind Hunter. Even to reprimand him directly, Jofa was scared to death.
Jofa felt disgusted and could not stand herself. She left the classroom and ran to the art room.
The room was quiet, and most of the curtains were closed. There are no students at all.
Jofa immediately took a brush and canvas. She started sketching to express her annoyance. Very angry and desperate, Jofa made rough paintings filled with red and black domination. The rough sketches depict her volatile emotions.
"Wow, are you crazy?" Someone suddenly got up from one of the benches in the corner of the room.
Jofa jumped in surprise. She accidentally nudged a pile of paint on the table.
"Well! What are you doing here? You startled me!"
"Ah, sorry... sorry..." The student grinned while scratching his head. "I was taking a nap. Are you painting while angry? Wow, look at your painting is nice too. Even though you draw it when you're upset. I didn't think you were good at painting. I never saw you join the art club."
Jofa looked down in embarrassment. She sighed when she saw the paint spilt and litter the floor. Jofa began to squat down and tidy it up.
The student also felt guilty. He crouched down, too and helped Jofa clean up the spilt paint.
"Sorry, earlier I left you in the cafeteria. My name is Axel Bond. We've passed each other many times, but I've never had the balls to say hi to you, Miller. Because you're so quiet. I'm afraid to disturb you."
Jofa just shrugged her shoulders. "Did you join the art club?"
"Yeah, there's only me. This year no students are willing to join this club."
"I will join!" said Jofa with satisfaction.
Axel's face lit up.
"You seem to be in a bad mood."
"Yeah, that's because… I was mad at myself!"
"Why?"
"Because I have behaved like a coward today. Sigh!"
"You want ice cream?"
"Ice cream?" Jofa frowned.
"Yes, when angry is the most fun to eat ice cream. You try?"
Jofa stared at her messy painting. I should try it sometime.
"Come on! I treat you to eat ice cream. Go to the park and wait for me there. I'll bring us some ice cream!"
"Tch," Jofa muttered. "Why are you acting like a lover. This is disgusting."
“Yes, because I don't have a girlfriend yet. Maybe I need to practice it with you, haha!"
***
Jofa sat on a park bench, waiting for Axel. From a distance, this cute young man was screaming for Jofa with ice cream cones in both hands.
"Miller, I got the ice cream!"
Axel ran to the park bench where Jofa was waiting. She just waved lazily at Axel.
While running, Axel's feet tripped. He lost his balance. Axel fell down with the ice cream he was trying to keep in his hands. However, the ice cream was thrown unluckily on Hunter's shoes.
Jofa ran up to them. "Ah, damn it! Why does it have to be Hunters?"
Axel was frightened and immediately stood up. “Sorry, Hunter. I accidentally. Forgive me."
Hunter steadied his expensive boots and hissed. "You're sorry? That's all you say? There's no point in saying that."
Axel's face paled. "It was by accident. I fell and didn't know you were there. I'll buy the same new shoes instead."
"You are richer than me?" snapped Hunter.
"What?" Axel was shocked.
"It took more than money to get these shoes. These shoes are custom-made by hand in France. How did you get the exact same shoes?" A corner of Hunter's lips lifted.
Axel was scared. "Forgive me. I'll do whatever I can."
Hunter grinned. "Whatever?"
"Yes!" Axel nodded.
"Clean it with your tongue!" Hunter thrust his leg at Axel.
"What?" Axel was surprised.
"lick your ice cream on my shoe!" shouted Hunter.
The other B4 members laughed at him.
"Hunter... but...." Axel said softly with a palea.
"You said you'd do anything? Isn't licking the ice cream off my shoe easy to do? My feet are sore here. Hurry up!"
Jofa could not bear to see that. "Stop!"
Everyone turned to Jofa.
"You think, what are you doing? He accidentally dropped it. He's already apologized. Why are you so overbearing?"
"Who are you?" replied Hunter. “Hey, Juniors. You are in my school. There are rules here that must be followed. And I am the rule!"
Ed whispered something to Hunter.
"Oh, he's that famous student?" Hunter glared at Jofa. "After returning from the hospital, you emerged as a hero? I thought you were a strong and tough student. Apparently, you're just a nerd with thick glasses. You ruined my mood!"
Jofa laughed. "I love to disappoint you!"
"Why are you meddling in other people's business?" shouted Hunter.
"Because he's my friend!" Jofa said proudly.
Axel suddenly looked at Jofa with a reaction of disbelief. He felt very moved because someone defended him.
"I don't think you know much about true friendship," Jofa quipped.
"Friendship? Let's see how it works. If he is your best friend, replace him licking the ice cream off my shoe!"
"What?"
"If you lick it, I will forget and forgive your friend's mistake. Aren't you a true friend? Then do it!" Hunter folded his arms to his chest.
Jofa was really angry. Her hands clenched at her sides. Her glasses were fogged up, and her bangs partially covered her lenses.
Axel pulled Jofa's arm. "I will find another way. This is my fault."
"Hey, what took you guys so long? Immediately lick and solve this problem. I want to see how true friendship works."
Jofa let go of Axel's grip. She knew Axel was trembling with fear. Jofa clenched her jaw and finally took a deep breath before kneeling.
The other three members of B4 were surprised to see Jofa's actions. They were looking forward to what would happen.
