Chapter 70: Chapter 70

Hunter returned home with unstoppable emotions. He headed to his room and locked himself tightly in there. No matter how many servants kept calling and knocking on his door, the young man didn't come out.

Hunter rampage. He rummaged through the room and smashed everything he could reach and find. In the dim room, he curled beside the bed hugging his knees and buried his face.

He ignored the sound of the maids knocking on the door. To block out the disturbing voices from his maids, he purposely turned the music up too loud.

After two hours, someone broke Hunter's bedroom door by force. Hunter did not accept because his privacy was violated. He stood up and threw the Bluetooth speaker at the newly opened door.

"I told you not to bother me! How dare you enter without permission?"

A man in a black suit entered through the doorway. Hunter froze instantly. His anger suddenly dropped drastically.

After the man in the black suit stepped in and opened the door came Mrs. Abraham, with her high heels clicking on the floor.

"Mom?" muttered Hunter, who looked scared.

Mrs. Abraham walked into Hunter's messy and chaotic room carefully. She tried to avoid some of the items scattered on the floor. The woman walked proudly toward her son with her arms folded across her chest.

Slap!

Mrs. Abraham slapped Hunter's cheek to shreds. Traces of long scars caused by the diamond ring on Mrs. Abraham's hand.

Hunter was very angry but tried to restrain himself in front of his mother. Hunter raised his head again. The long wound on his cheek slowly began to close again and was not left at all.

"I told you not to make a mess!"

"I didn't do anything–"

Hunter had not finished explaining; Mrs. Abraham had already thrown a bunch of files and photos in Hunter's face. The images are scattered on the floor. Hunter looked down and watched them.

"Just because of a human girl, have you become uncontrollable and an idiot like this? How much loss have you incurred as a result of your actions? You've even killed a businessman's son. I must spend hundreds of millions of Coll to cover up your mistake."

Hunter clenched both fists very tightly. His eyes opened wide when he saw Jonea's photos scattered on the floor.

His mother secretly paid someone to stalk and follow Jonea. Hunter was completely dumbfounded when he saw Jonea's photos in various activities and times and managed to be captured by his mother's messenger.

"This has nothing to do with her!" said Hunter, glaring at his mother. "I killed Axel because he had gone too far."

"Isn't that slap enough to wake you up? If you are still against my decision, be prepared, I will also remove that girl from your life. You better control yourself from now on and return to your previous self."

"Mom…."

"Or you will suffer the same fate as your father! Become a good-for-nothing man and hide in the pack?"

After venting all her frustration, Mrs. Abraham left Hunter's room, followed by her personal assistant.

"Don't do anything to her!" shouted Hunter frustrated. "Or I will make you regret having given birth to me!"

Mrs. Abraham left Hunter alone. The young man knelt on the floor, individually picking up Jonea's photos.

Jonea returns home with Aland driving her on a red sports motorbike. They stopped before Jonea's parents' fried chicken restaurant, which closed that night.

"Are you sure you want to get off here?" asked Aland while helping to remove the helmet from Jonea's head.

The girl nodded with a big smile. "This is enough. Thanks for the ride. I hope you guys make up soon."

Aland shook his head. "Don't worry about it. I can drive you home."

Jonea refuses. "Just being here is enough. I just need to walk a few meters and get to the house. I don't want to attract attention. If someone recognized you, you would definitely be in trouble again. I don't want that to happen, Aland."

Aland nodded in understanding. "Can I have a goodbye hug?"

Jonea wanted to say yes, but she shook her head in nervousness.

"Okay… I'm a bit disappointed. But, if you need anything, just call me any time. Or you can go to Edison at his rooftop house. Even though his wealth is in his wallet, he seems comfortable living there." Aland grinned.

Jonea cursed her stupidity. She regretted her decision. After ensuring Aland was gone, Jonea walked home with positive steps. She didn't even stop smiling and was so happy.

When she opened the house gate, Jonea was surprised because the door was not locked. She thought her parents had returned from the countryside. So happy, Jonea rushed to the house and screamed for her mother.

"Mom… Dad… are you home yet?"

As she stood in the living room, the smile completely disappeared from Jonea's face and was replaced with tension. She did see her parents sitting in the living room. However, they are not alone. There were two more people there.

"Jonea…," scolded the mother. “This woman… she….”

"I already know!" said Jonea. "I know who she is. What were you doing in my house, Mrs. Abraham?"

The beautiful woman with hair in a high bun and wearing a maroon suit raised her head haughtily.

"I just want to visit a student's house that I recently allowed to study at my school with a full scholarship. I just want to make sure how things are. And I didn't think you could live in a place like this. So rundown, cramped, and dirty. The environment of this place is also unhealthy. There are too many nightspots here."

"Just get straight to the point, Mrs. Abraham. What is your purpose in coming here?" hissed Jonea.

Jonea's mom and dad were so nervous. They stood up to calm Jonea. They had something to tell Jonea, but Mrs. Abraham had come before they could tell Jonea the news.

"It seems your parents haven't told you yet. Then let me address it directly to you, young lady. You can no longer open a business and live here. Because I'm going to sell the building you've been using as a fried chicken restaurant. I will also be selling this apartment for a development project."

"What do you mean, ma'am?" Jonea's chest rumbled violently. Anger mixed with surprise bubbled up inside her.

Jonea glanced at her parents. The mother quietly sobbed and shed tears.

"What's wrong, Mom?"

"Initially, they increased the rent for this restaurant and house. We have agreed to pay the rent. But, suddenly, the developer returns our rent money. They asked us to leave because the building owner would sell it."

"Well, you guys can no longer live here!" cried Mrs. Abraham.

Jonea began to see things clearly. Most of the buildings in the area are owned by the Abraham family. They can do anything, including expelling the contractors on the spot.

"This is just a warning for you, Jonea. If you're still bothering and chasing after my son, I can do so much more than this." Mrs. Abraham got up and was about to leave the place. "If you want money, just tell me. Or do you want this restaurant to be yours? That is all I can give. As long as you leave school and stay away from my son!"

Mrs. Abraham's assistant handed over the papers. "Madam is giving you two days to make a decision!"

"Wait, ma'am!" retorted Jonea. "It seems you have misunderstood if you accuse me of chasing after your only son. On the other hand, Mrs. Advise your son not to chase and beg for my love. He's… completely useless in my eyes. He's just a loser hiding behind his family's wealth. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hunter being such a coward. Because apparently, he was raised by a woman like you."

Mrs. Abraham was so angry and offended. She turned around and was about to slap Jonea. However, Mr. Fallon suddenly came and held the woman's hand.

Mrs. Abraham's personal secretary intervened and tried to attack Mr. Fallon.

"Stop!" Mrs. Fallon shouted. "Enough of you guys coming here to make a fuss. Just take this building. We don't need it. We can even still live on our own feet without your presence. And ma'am," said Mrs. Fallon, "never look down on my daughter. She is our best daughter. In all her life, she never troubled us. Instead, warn your son not to pry into our lives!"

Mrs. Abraham was very offended. But she didn't want to prolong the debate. She turned and left the Fallon family's house, followed by the secretary.

After the woman left, Jonea and her mother suddenly fell to the floor with their bodies shaking violently.

"What just happened? What did we just do?" cried the mother.

"Do you regret it?" shouted Mr. Fallon. "I have no regrets at all! Until Miller's abuser is found and justice is served, I will never bow my head before anyone."

Realizing the precarious condition that befell him, Hunter quietly left the house. He raced the vehicle while his mother was away. The young man has only one goal.

"I have to see Aland!"
