Chapter 40: Chapter 40

Behind the Kabuto, Jonea's reaction was entirely beyond words. Her feelings were mixed between shame, anger, and fear.

"What have you done?" Jonea said word by word with great emphasis on Edison.

"Who are you?" asked Ed, pointing a finger at Jonea.

Jonea was so furious. She still had her arms crossed over her chest. Her dress was almost down because of the open zipper, and there was nothing she could do about it in the presence of Edison.

Jonea turned quickly. With one hand holding the dress so it doesn't sag and the other carrying the hem, she suddenly kicked toward Edison's head.

Edison was cornered. His back hit the dresser. However, he could dodge until the tip of Jonea's heel only hit Ed's hair.

"Phew!" exclaimed Ed.

He was relieved that the high-heel kick had not bruised his handsome face.

Failing to vent her anger, Jonea became even more explosive. Her appearance is not frivolous. Her head was also heavy because Kabuto was still stuck there.

“E-DI-SON!” Jonea shouted angrily.

Ed was very nervous. He could only stare at Miller or whoever the figure behind the Kabuto was while swallowing hard.

"Yes, Sweetheart?" Ed let slip. He used to do that when his girlfriend was angry. Ed closed his eyes, cursing his stupidity.

"WHAT?!" Jonea couldn't believe it when she heard Edison call her sweetheart. "You think I'm your girlfriend? Bastard!"

Ed raised his arms crossed over his head. He tried to calm the girl in front of him.

"Please, Miller. No, no, I don't mean Miller. Oh, no, I mean… what's your name?"

Jonea was pissed off. She tugged at the hem of her dress and pulled it up by the sagging breasts. Then, she walked with wide steps towards Edison.

Ed was confused and didn't know how to react. He wanted to escape, but his body was wedged between the dressers.

One. Two. Three steps and… Paw!

Jonea swung the Kabuto on her head until it hit Ed's forehead.

"Aawww!"

Ed screamed while clutching his throbbing forehead. It hurt so much to be hit by the iron helmet.

"Feel it!" Jonea shouted with satisfaction.

"We will welcome the auction of the last item to close tonight's charity event. We welcome with a standing ovation the representatives of the special club. Welcome to the stage…"

Jonea and Ed, who were arguing backstage, were suddenly nervous. They were running here and there, not knowing what to do.

"You have to get out!" he said. "Go on stage. It doesn't matter who you are, but you must help me auction off this armor."

"Just zip up my dress, motherfucker!" she shouted. "I can't possibly go on stage naked!"

Jonea stood with her back to Ed. Meanwhile, Ed trembled when he saw Jonea's bare back. He wanted to zip it up but was too nervous.

Aland and Hunter had almost reached the hall where the auction and banquet were held. Their steps suddenly stopped when they heard the host say Miller Fallon's name would appear to bring the last auction item.

Aland and Hunter immediately ran to the hall to watch the auction. They wanted to see with their own eyes whether the so-called Miller Fallon was the exact beautiful figure they had just met.

"Aland, stop!" shouted Elmar. He's serious this time.

Aland also knew that Elmar was not playing games. He stopped and turned to his friend.

"What do you want? I'm in a hurry, and there's no time left. I have to see Miller Fallon."

"Miller Fallon?" Elmar shook his head.

'This isn't right,' thought Elmar. 'Does Aland have the same thoughts as me? I have to stop it.'

Because Elmar didn't answer, Aland took another step. This time it was faster. He had reached the hall door just as Hunter had just arrived there.

Elmar couldn't stop Aland, and neither could Marilyn Monroe stop Hunter. They had all now gathered in the hall to witness the auction of the final auction item.

Loud applause filled the entire hall. The guests, students, and the teacher's council ranks wore expensive clothes to the party that night. They all looked enthusiastic about the last performance.

Everyone was shot. They thought they'd see Miller Fallon, Marilyn Monroe, or whoever it was standing on the stage. Instead, they saw a samurai warrior with medieval armor and a katana sword.

"What is this?" grunted Hunter. "They say Miller Fallon, right? Was it Miller wearing armor? Is this the surprise Ed meant?"

"Shouldn't she be wearing a red dress?" muttered Aland, who was also curious.

"What exactly are you guys trying to prove here?" shouted Elmar, who joined the crowd and immediately took a queue number. He sat on the front bench on the left.

"Elmar can't get ahead of me," said Aland, who followed suit and took the front seat in the middle.

"I'll get it first!" Hunter's hiss was no less fierce. He wanted to fight over the figure standing on the stage wearing armor.

"Gosh... the three of them gathered in the same place?" Marilyn panicked. "How should I stop them? While Jonea was already standing on the stage. The three of them will surround Jonea, and who knows what will happen–only God knows."

Aland tried to push forward onto the stage, but the auctioneers held him back.

"This suit of armor will be auctioned starting at ten million Coll. Anyone wants to bid higher?" offered the presenter.

Hunter held up his nameplate. "Eleven million Coll," he said.

Elmar immediately glanced at Hunter. "I won't let you get my girl!" Elmar raised his nameplate. "Twelve million Coll."

Aland, who was sitting in the middle, was getting impatient. "I have to get it first. Fifteen million Coll!" said Aland, holding up his nameplate.

All participants and guests who attended that night looked enthusiastic. They had never seen B4 members fighting each other over auction products—especially Aland, who had never been interested in auction events.

"What is it? Is this samurai suit so special that they are fighting over it so seriously?" whispered one student.

"Perhaps this armor is worth much more than they bargained for?"

"17 million Coll!" Someone sitting on the middle bench slightly back offered it casually.

Everyone turned to the figure, including the members of B4.

"Axel White?" grunted Hunter. "How dare he bid higher than me. Twenty million coll!" said Hunter to the auctioneer.

"Huaaah…!" Everyone is hysterical.

"The competition is very tight and interesting," the host enthusiastically said. "I will open an auction opportunity with a higher price. Does anyone dare to bid above 20 million Coll? One... two…."

"25!" exclaimed Aland.

"My… my… anything higher than 25 million Coll? Fantastic price."

Elmar and Hunter both hissed. They glanced sharply at Aland. Aland smiled triumphantly. He sat relaxed while lifting one leg over the other.

"30 million Coll!" Axel said as he raised his board high.

Meanwhile, on stage, the armor wearer just stood stiffly. He struggled to support the weight of the armor. He didn't move much and glanced at whoever held up the sign while bidding at a fantastic price.

"30 million Coll!" shouted the host excitedly and noisily.

Secretly, Axel grinned and felt himself getting the upper hand. 'Surely I will get him. I will reveal the real figure behind that armor in front of everyone.'

Elmar, Aland, and Hunter were utterly pissed off. The three of them glanced at each other and then nodded slightly. On the count of three after being spoken by the host, the auction price will close. The three of them stood together, holding up their respective nameplates.

"50 million Coll and the armor are the three of us!" Elmar, Aland, and Hunter uttered in unison, making everyone gape. The auction atmosphere became tense.

The armor-bearer recoiled in fright. He panicked. Marilyn even almost jumped onto the stage to stop the three members of B4 who had now pushed forward and jumped onto the stage.

The three of them surrounded the figure under the armor from three sides.
