Chapter 30: Chapter 30
Hunter returned to the dormitory and sneaked his way to the top bunk. He occasionally glanced over at Miller's bed. Miller was seen sleeping under his thick blanket. The lights have also been extinguished. Only the lamp from Hunter's study table was still on as the only light.
"Where should I put this picture frame?"
Hunter looked around for the photo frame he had dropped earlier.
"Should I put it on the table?
Hunter was about to get back into his own bed when he accidentally saw the broken photo frame previously lying face down next to Miller's laptop.
Hunter picked up the glassless picture frame and began removing it. He is about to replace Miller’s frame with the one he just bought. But, when Hunter was about to remove the back cover, Miller suddenly heard growling in his bed.
Hunter jumped in surprise, and with alacrity, he caught the photo frame that almost slipped from his hand.
"Gosh, he sleeps like a baby monkey. His behavior is very rude," grumbled Hunter with a pout.
Hunter had already unhooked the back of the picture frame. He started taking photos inside and was surprised to find that it was two pictures folded in half. When Hunter was about to open half of the folded photo, Miller suddenly shouted from his bed again.
"Fuck you, Hunter Abraham!"
Hunter instantly froze. He put the photo back on the table and glanced at the bed.
"He's just delirious? Damn it!" grunted Hunter. "Even in a dream, he still hates me so much. I should be the one who hates you more than anything!" Hunter spoke in whispers, but his expression looked so irritated.
"You are so stupid with this photo. It's up to him whether he wants to wear it or not. The important thing is I've replaced it.
Hunter failed to unfold the photo and return it to its original shape. He didn't want to get involved with Miller's personal affairs any further than that. He placed Miller's photo back on the table and added a picture frame he had just bought as a replacement beside it.
Hunter crept down the stairs back to his bed.
While lying in his own bed, Hunter repeatedly tried to close his eyes but failed every time. Even though he wasn't alone in the room, he still felt uncomfortable and lonely. Hunter tried to sleep several times, but Miller's delirious voice woke him up again.
Annoyed, Hunter kicked off his blankets and sat up straight. He stood up in a hurry until his head hit the roof of the bed.
Pop!
"Fuck!" shouted Hunter, clutching his throbbing head. "I can't sleep in the dark. Why should I follow his wishes by letting the lights in this room go out? This is my room."
Hunter went to find the light switch and turned it on. The room was suddenly bright. He returned under the covers and fell into a deep sleep with a wide smile.
Because of the blinding light, Jonea suddenly woke up. She sat up straight and blinked her stinging eyes.
"Who the heck turned on the light?"
Jonea got out of bed and went to the wall where the switch was. However, she stopped when she saw a new frame beside her damaged photo.
"Did Hunter open it?"
Jonea panicked instantly.
"No! He can't open this photo. Or my secret will–"
Jonea quickly reached for the broken framed photo. She checked the back and checked the cover.
"Still perfectly related," she muttered.
Jonea slowly opened the back cover and took out her photo.
The front displayed a photo of Miller still wearing his junior high school uniform. Then Jonea unfolded the photo. Next to Miller should be a photo of Jonea wearing her junior high school uniform.
Jonea's hair is still long. She looks so beautiful.
"No one should see this photo. If they find out Miller and I are twins, it could be dangerous for my mission," Jonea muttered.
She took the new frame Hunter had bought him and threw it in the wastebasket.
Jonea secretly glanced at the lower bunk where Hunter should be.
"I have to confirm that Hunter really hasn't seen it."
Jonea jumped up the stairs silently and examined the sleeping Hunter on his back. The blanket fell to the floor. His shirt was parted to reveal a stomach with six muscles. Hunter's mouth opened slightly, with drool starting to drip.
"Hey! What's wrong with him? Absolutely terrible. It's disgusting to have to see him sleeping like this."
As Jonea was about to leave, Hunter suddenly pulled her hand.
"Wha–" Jonea turned her head and was ready to speak harshly. "Let me go…!"
However, when she saw Hunter's innocent face while sleeping while holding his hand, Jonea's anger immediately melted away. She even felt sorry for the young man. Hunter's innocent sleeping face reminded Jonea of Miller.
"Only in sleep do you really become a good young man. It's a shame; when you wake up, you're as evil as a demon!" muttered Jonea.
Slowly, Jonea let go of Hunter's grip on her hand. She wanted to make the move slowly. She was afraid that she would wake Hunter and that it would be awkward for Jonea to be caught there.
"Do not leave!" muttered Hunter under his breath and on the verge of tears. The young man still held Jonea's hand.
"Tch! You think I'm your babysitter?"
At first, Jonea would let go of Hunter's grip slowly. Still, when she saw Hunter's bad attitude towards her, Jonea suddenly shuddered and felt disgusted. Jonea jerked Hunter's hand away violently and went to the wall to turn off the light switch.
Still a few hours until morning. Jonea used the remaining time to go back to sleep.
Waking up in the morning, Hunter suddenly rolled over to the floor with a painful thump. With eyes still heavy and sleepy, he climbed back into bed and hit something hard.
"Elmar, when are you coming back? Go sleep in your own place! It's cramped, you know!" Hunter rolled onto the bed and pushed Elmar, who was grabbing his bed.
Hunter's hand stretched out, and he touched something soft and supple. "Why is your chest so soft like this?" muttered Hunter. "You should get a lot of exercise."
Hunter suddenly felt strange with his fingers.
"What was that I was holding?" thought Hunter as he closed his eyes.
"Uuhmm… Get your hands off! Out of the way, Miller!" muttered Jonea as she jerked the hand that was groping her chest.
Hunter suddenly got goosebumps. He opened his eyes and slowly glanced to the side. He jumped in surprise because lying beside him was not Elmar but Miller Fallon.
Hunter sat up straight and pulled the blanket off Miller. "What was I holding?"
When his mind is messed up, Hunter goes crazy.
"Hey!" shouted Hunter loudly. "What are you doing here? Get out of my bed!"
Sitting on her side, Jonea suddenly shivered because someone pulled her blanket. When Jonea heard Hunter's scream, she opened her eyes lazily.
"Hunter?" The girl sat up straight with her hair sticking out in all directions. "Well!" Jonea replied with a scream. "What did you say? What are you doing here? Go!"
Hunter saw his bare-chested body and only wearing trousers. "When did I take off my shirt?"
Hunter suddenly crossed his arms over his chest and recoiled in fright.
"What? What have you done to me? Why did you sneak into my blanket? You… have stained me!" shouted Hunter with a bright red face.
"Bastard! Bastard!" she shouted. "You're the one who snuck into my bed! Come down right now!"
Jonea crossed her arms over her chest. She was sure a moment ago, someone was holding her body. She thought it was just a dream. Apparently, it was Hunter's hand.
Jonea is angry. She kicked in all directions, and her heel hit Hunter's chin.
Scraak!
Hunter fell backward and rolled onto the floor, hitting his head first. Jonea stood on the bed, covering her mouth with her hand. She was so freaked out.
"Is he dead? Did I kick him too hard?"
