Chapter 28: Chapter 28

Hunter playing games in Edison's room. But he never seriously played it. Hunter repeatedly made mistakes and kept losing the game.

“Enough, stop! You better go back to your room. You're just ruining my game here." Edison grumbled.

"Soon, huh?" cried Hunter. "Let me play one more time."

But, as Hunter said, his eyes kept on the clock in Ed's room.

Ed got pissed off. He got up and snatched the game console from Hunter's hands.

“Tell me the truth. What are you worried about? You were in my room and playing games, but your mind was everywhere," said Ed. "You can never lie to me!"

Hunter chose silence. He tried to avoid Ed's gaze.

“Ah, look! This game seems interesting. I've never tried it. How about we get started?” Hunter tried to divert the conversation.

Once again, Ed snatched the game console from Hunter's hands. “Stop! You are not good at playing games. Usually, whenever Elmar and I play games, you always refuse and never care. You are always busy with your business. What is it that you suddenly changed? You're really weird, you know?"

Ed stood towering over Hunter while glaring viciously.

Hunter looked down while pouting his lips. “Ed, can I stay here tonight? Just for tonight. Please!”

Edison rolled his eyes. "Why do you want to stay in my room? You're scaring me even more. Then what if Aland suddenly returns?”

“But, right, Aland isn't here. He has not been to school for two days now. I've tried contacting him, but he said he just wants to rest at home."

“He also said the same thing as me,” Ed replied.

“This is a little weird, though,” muttered Hunter. “But, if he has already decided, what can we do? I don't think Aland will come back to the hostel tonight. I can stay, right? I will keep you company!"

"You mean you want me to accompany you, is that it?" Edison squinted at Hunter suspiciously. “Earlier, you left the VIP room and moved to the regular dorm. Then after you made that very surprising decision, now you suddenly want to move into my room, is that it? Sorry can not. I've had enough trouble with Aland, who is always cold. Luckily Aland never bothered me playing games. But, if you have to move here, I'm sorry… I can't!”

Hunter took a pillow and threw it at Ed. "So you like Aland more than me?"

“I am more pleased with myself than anyone. I'm more comfortable in my room alone. Or you can go back to your room in the VIP dormitory. Problem solved, right?”

Hunter shook his head. “Elmar rarely comes home to the dorms. He is always busy with his work. It's like he left me alone."

“Then go back to your regular dorm. Don't you have roommates there? What's his name? I forget."

Hunter immediately got goosebumps every time he remembered Miller's figure. The young man always scared Hunter when he was alone in a room.

Hunter got out of bed and walked away. He turned to the window and stared out at the darkness of the night. The backyard of the hostel is lit up with beautiful twinkling lights.

"The world is cruel, huh?" whispered Ed. “You're always targeting and teasing Miller Fallon. But suddenly, you have to live under the same roof as him. I think Elmar did that to you on purpose. You have to hold Elmar accountable.” Ed flashed his devilish smile.

"You think I didn't do it?" Hunter looks irritated. His face flushed. “I've asked Elmar to let me live alone in the regular dorm. I've also kicked out that student–Miller Fallon. But Elmar defended him. Elmar has power because he is the head of the house.”

"Huh!" Edison sighed. “Instead of spending your time and energy complaining, you should return to your dorm and solve your problems. Why are you being so cowardly? Where is the figure of the Hunter I have always known?”

“But, he is different!” Hunter said it seriously, and a bit of worry was written on his face.

At that time, Edison sensed that there was something unusual about Hunter.

“Is your phobia back? I thought the results of your last examination said it was completely healed. Now you're back to being anxious and a little paranoid? Isn't that a little worrying? It would be best to take your mother's advice and go for a check-up in America."

“Ed, why didn't you support me at all this time? You just piss me off." Hunter left Edison's room while pouting his lips and bending his face.

Edison smiled while shaking his head, watching Hunter leave. He threw his body onto the super soft bed surface until it bounced twice. Edison grabbed the cell phone and scrolled through the list of contacts there. After stopping at one name, he made a phone call.

"Elmar, you're not going back to the dorms tonight?"

"I'll be home a little late. This is the last shoot. After that, I'll have plenty of free time, and we can goof around again as usual. What are you contacting me for? It's too late. Did something go wrong?"

"No! Don't panic like that. I'm just a little lonely without friends to play games with. Oh yeah, can you give me a room in the regular dorms?” asked Edison.

"Did I hear right?" replied Elmar. "This is Edison, right?"

“Yeah, it's me! You hear it so clearly. Give me a room in the regular dormitory. If necessary, the room must be adjacent to the Hunter's room. I'm a little worried about him."

“There are no rooms nearby from Hunter's room. But you can occupy dorm number two. Looks like you'd really fit in there. You will be able to control your men from the judo team.”

"Yeah, I'll take it. That's fine with me. How about you? Are you still going back to the VIP dorm?”

Elmar could be heard laughing softly across the phone. "Let's wait and see. I'm still waiting for another call that might ask to be transferred to the regular dormitory."

He frowned. “You mean… Aland? That idea seems a bit impossible. Aland, who is cold, quiet, and always alone, makes it impossible for him to be transferred to a regular dormitory.”

Hunter returned to his room in dormitory number three. He didn't sleep even though it was late. Hunter was still pacing the room and occasionally glancing at the bed on the floor.

"Tonight, I have to be alone again?" grunted Hunter. “Where exactly did that boy go? Did he really run away after I kicked him out the other day? It's been two days since he hasn't returned to the dorms or shown up at school."

Hunter stopped pacing and glanced at the bathroom door. He checked the door lock, which had been broken.

“In fact, I have repaired this bathroom door. I hoped he would thank me for being kind enough to fix it.”

Hunter froze as he stared at the results of his hard work fixing the bathroom door lock. His hand was stabbed by a screwdriver.

Suddenly he was reminded again of Miller's figure that Hunter accidentally caught just after showering. Miller looks so beautiful with a half-wet body and only wears a towel wrapped around his body.

“Huh, bastard!” Hunter shook his head and slapped his cheeks a little bit hard. "What is wrong with me? Why do I get goosebumps every time I think about it?”

Hunter rubbed his shivering arms and neck.

“He really sickens me. ugh!”

Hunter turned to the top bunk where Jonea kept her personal and school belongings.

"I've also made the bed. It's not because I feel guilty or anything. But I just don't like to see dirty and messy places!” shouted Hunter, pointing at the top bunk in annoyance.

Hunter did not want to admit his regrets. Even though he had done that much already, he wished Miller would return to the dorms so he wouldn't be alone living in the regular dorms.

Check.

The bedroom door suddenly opened, and Hunter jumped in surprise. His face suddenly became panicked. He became flustered and confused and did not know what to do.

"Is that him coming?"
