Valeria slowly opened the door to Fred's ward. She smiled seeing that Fred was still awake, he was busy playing a game on Shane's phone while Shane sat beside him on his bed.

"Having fun are we?" She said.

Fred raised his head to look at her, and he smiled brightly.

"Mama." He screamed in excitement, then he widened his arms.

Valeria rushed to him, she kept the things she'd brought with her on the floor, then she hugged him tightly.

"I've missed you so much mama, I've missed you very very much," Fred said.

"Awwn, I've missed you even more, my love," Valeria said, and pulled out of the hug.

"Give mama a kiss." Fred immediately kissed her all over, including her lips.

Valeria couldn't help but laugh.

"Thank you love, " She said.

"How are you Val?" Shane asked with a smile, and Valerie turned to face her.

"I'm fine Shane, how are you? Hope Fred didn't give you much trouble?"

"Well, he was a good boy today, but he wouldn't stop crying for his mama. You can see he's still awake. He's refused to go to bed without seeing you, that was the only tiring part, it's not easy putting him to bed without him seeing you," Shane complained with a groan, which made Valeria chuckle hard.

"So sorry Shane, " Valeria said.

"What's that mama?" Fred asked, pointing at the big bag on the floor.

"Oh, it's a gift for you son." Valeria said, giving Fred's cheek a little pinch.

"For me?" Fred asked. Valeria nodded.

She bent down and pulled the bag up, then she placed it on the bed. Those were some of the things Noah bought. She literally couldn't bring the whole stuff to the hospital since they were so many.

She started taking the toys out of the bag. Shane and Fred's jaws dropped in surprise as they watched her take the things out.

When she was done, she kept the bag on the floor.

"This is all for you honey." She smiled.

The expression on Fred's face was priceless, he was looking at the gifts with so much admiration. She could tell he loved them already, and it pleased her heart to see her son that happy.

"Thank you Noah." She said inwardly, Fred is so happy right now, and it's because of him.

"F..f for me." Fred stuttered.

He picked up one of the toy cars, and he immediately opened the pack and took the car out of it.

"Gosh, mama, I love everything! This is so cool mama, thank you so much," Fred uttered, yelling in excitement.

"Wow...I'm glad you love it honey, there's more too."

"What? There's more?" Fred asked with wide eyes which made Valeria chuckle.

"Yes honey, there's a lot lot lot more, but it's all at home. You'll see it once we go home."

"Wow mama, I can't wait to see them, thank you so much mama, I love you." Fred gushed.

Shane was busy wondering where Valeria got the money to buy such gifts for Fred.

"I love you too honey, but guess what?" Valeria said.

"What mama?" Fred asked.

"A nice person bought these gifts for you." Valeria said, and Shantel furrowed her brow.

"Who's that mama?"

"Don't worry son, you'll get to meet him someday." She smiled.

"I can't wait to meet him mama, I want to tell him thank you." Fred smiled.

"You'll get to honey, play with your toys now." She said, then she ruffled his hair.

Valeria picked up a little gift box from the bed, and she gave it to Shantel.

"For you." She smiled.

Shane squinted her eyes, wondering what was inside the box.

"Don't sit there staring at it, take it." Valeria said.

"What's in there?" Shane asked and Valeria scoffed.

"Are you seriously asking me? Why don't you see for yourself?" She said and she shoved the box into Shane's hand.

Shane took the box and she slowly opened it. She gasped loudly when she saw a diamond necklace shinning brightly.

"Oh my goodness!" She said and she quickly covered her mouth with a shocked expression.

" Is this for me?" She asked and Valeria smiled.

"Obviously," Valeria replied.

"Thank you so much, thank you, I really appreciate this." Shane said truthfully and she immediately went to hug Valeria.

"You deserve it." Valeria said and she remembered how she took the diamond necklace from the shelf and she kept it inside the trolley. Noah actually paid for everything, including the necklace.

Shane pulled away from the embrace and that's when she noticed the necklace on Valeria's neck.

"Where did you get the money to buy all this stuff?" Shane couldn't help but ask.

"Well, I didn't buy it with my money, actually," Valeria said. She didn't want to lie to Shane, she'd been lying pretty well.

"Who bought it?" Shane asked and she kept the diamond necklace on the bed, glaring at Valeria.

"Start talking!" Shane said, but Valeria kept quiet, she suddenly felt scared of telling Shane the truth.

"Who? Is it Noah?" Shane replied her own question.

Valeria stared at Shane, wondering how she got to such a conclusion.

"Yes," Valeria replied.

"Why? Why would he?" Shane asked sternly.

"Well, he's just trying to be nice to me," Valeria replied, and Shantel rolled her eyes.

"Come off it, Val, I'm no longer a child." Shane said.

Valeria felt her palms getting sweaty. At this point, she looked like a child that had been caught stealing.

"What do you mean that you're no longer a child?" Valeria said nervously as she breathed out air from her mouth.

Shane turned and she saw Fred playing with his toys. He wasn't even listening to their conversation, so she heaved a sigh of relief.

This is getting too much, she's been having some suspicions, and she needs to clear them right now.

"Are you having sex with Noah?" Shane whispered, so Fred wouldn't hear them.

"What!!!"
