Chapter 97: Chapter 97
Valeria rushed to grab her purse from the table, then she went back to Noah, she took his hand and pulled him out of the restaurant.
They got to where the car was parked and she let go of Noah's hand.
"What do you think you're doing, Noah?" Valeria fumed.
"You got into a fight."
"And so what? Huh, so what if I got into a fight? You should have let me deal with that motherfucker. You shouldn't have interfered." Noah said in anger. Valeria sighed.
"How dare he huh? How dare he hit on you? He even had the guts to flash you his damn money, I should have killed him right there and then," Noah said through gritted teeth.
Valeria looked at him for sometime, she didn't even say anything, somehow she found Noah funny at that moment, and this made her burst into laughter.
Noah looked at her in disbelief.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
He touched her forehead to feel her temperature. He wanted to make sure she was fine.
"Go away," Valeria said as she tossed his hand away, still giggling.
"Have you gone crazy, Valeria? What's funny? Why the hell are you laughing?" Noah asked in disbelief.
Valeria stopped laughing.
"Don't mind me, you just look so funny right now," She said. Noah furrowed his brow.
"Anyways, forget about that, you surprised me, Noah," she affirmed with all seriousness.
"How?"
"I wasn't expecting you to fight for me, I wasn't expecting you to stand up for me like that." She said, then she turned her back to him.
Noah sighed, he placed both his hands on each side of her shoulders, then he turned her to face him.
"And why shouldn't I fight for you, huh? I'll always stand up for you Valeria, always know that. And besides, I'm sure you didn't expect me to let him go free, not after what he did. He was lucky I gave him just a single punch, I would have reshaped his ugly face with my fist had you not interfered. He was damn lucky, and it's all because of you," Noah said. Valeria chuckled.
"Alright super man, this dinner date is over, I need to get going now."
"What?"
"Yes Noah, the date has been ruined and I need to get going now, my son is waiting for me." She said, muttering the last part.
"Oh come on, there's a lot of things we can do. We can go to another restaurant or an ice cream shop. You like ice cream, don't you?" Noah asked. Valeria sighed.
"Everyone loves ice cream, but can we do this some other time? I need to go to my son." Valeria said, and Noah's heart skipped a beat.
"Uhmm.....Valeria."
"Yes."
"I know you don't want me to meet your son, but at least, can I get a gift for him? I mean, I'd love to shop for something for him. Since you're his mom, I'm sure you'll know what he likes, so it'll be easy for me," Noah said, silently hoping Valeria would agree.
"Fine, do you have a place in mind where we can go to?"
"Yes yes." Noah said in excitement.
"Come on, let's go." He said.
Noah went to open the door for Valeria.
Valeria chuckled softly, seeing how excited he was, she shook her head, then she went in.
Noah ran to the other side, he got in and he drove off immediately.

"It's okay Noah, the three trolleys are almost filled up," Valeria sighed.
Noah has been on it for hours now. He'd almost bought everything in the mall. He bought teddy bears, motor toys, snickers, footballs and many other things.
Valeria had already lost count of the things he had bought for Fred.
Two other trolleys have already been kept inside his car. Now he's still buying stuff and putting it inside the third trolley.
Some of the workers at the mall were smiling widely, knowing fully well that they'd earned a lot from Noah, because he didn't even price anything, he just went ahead and bought it.
"Ma'am, can you please sit aside and wait for your husband, it seems he's really busy shopping," One of the workers said when she'd noticed that Valeria was trying to stop Noah from shopping.
"Husband?" The words rang into her ears. She wondered if she had heard right.
"Sorry if you think I have been rude, I just thought maybe you're tired and you need to rest." The worker said.
"I'm fine thanks!" Valeria said.
While she was busy talking to the workers, Noah saw a very beautiful bracelet and he immediately bought it.
"It's beautiful, just like Valeria." He thought inwardly and he smiled, then he immediately kept it in his pocket.
Valeria's eyes went to the trolley. Noah had almost filled it up.
"Noah!" She called and she rushed to him.
"It's okay Noah, we're done here!" She said strictly.
"C'mon Valeria, I need to get that silver necklace and wristwatch," Noah protested.
"Golden necklace and wristwatch?" Valeria asked in bewilderment.
"Yes, of course, I need to get him one." Noah said, and Valeria sighed.
Since she gave birth to Fred she hasn't gotten him a necklace and wristwatch, but here, Noah is trying to spoil him with gifts.
"It's enough!" She said and she pulled Noah by his shirt, dragging him out.
"Make sure you bring everything to my car. I've already paid for it." Noah said as he was being dragged outside.
They went outside and Valeria gave him a heavy glare.
"Do you want to buy everything in there?" She asked.
"I will, if you want me to!" he said, and Valeria scoffed.
"Show off." She muttered inwardly.
"Do you want me to?" Noah asked.
"Huh?"
"I said, Do you want me to buy everything in the mall? including the building?" Noah asked.
"Don't get me started." She warned, and Noah smiled.
By now they were already keeping their stuff in Noah's boot.
"Well, that's by the way, I got you something." Noah said.
"What's it?" Valeria asked.
"Tada!!" Noah half yelled as he brought out the bracelet.
