Next morning.....

Valeria woke, she groaned as the bright lights in Fred's ward almost blinded her. She waited a while for her eyes to adjust to the lights, then she slowly opened them.

Valeria looked at Shane who was still snuggled close to her, and she chuckled.

"Shane, wake up, it's morning already." She said.

"Oh please, just give me five more minutes." Shane groaned. Valeria scoffed, then she pushed Shane away.

"Ouch." Shane hissed in pain. She hit her back against the chair, and that got her fully awake.

"What was that for?" She asked, glaring at Valeria.

"To wake you up, of course." Valeria shrugged, and stood up.

"Yeah right, thank you so much for almost breaking my back." Shane said sarcastically, and Valeria laughed.

"Sorry about that." Valeria said, then she went to Fred, and she sat beside him on his bed.

"I can't believe he's still sleeping." She smiled.

"Normally, he loves his sleep a lot," Shane replied. She stood up and went to stand beside Fred.

"His face now has some color in it, he's no longer looking so pale." Shane said.

"Yes, my little boy is getting better." Valeria replied, then she kissed Fred's cheeks, and that seemed to wake him up, because Fred slowly opened his eyes when she kissed him.

"Mama," he called softly.

"Sweetheart, you're awake." Valeria said with a bright smile.

"How are you feeling? Are you in any kind of pain?"

"No mama, it doesn't hurt so much, I'm fine." Fred answered. Valeria smiled.

"I'm glad you're fine honey, do you need anything?" Valeria asked. Fred nodded.

"Food, I'm hungry," he said with a cute pout.

Shane and Valeria immediately burst into laughter.

"You glutton," Shane teased. Fred smiled.

"I'll...." Valeria was saying when her phone rang.

"Shane, please pass me my phone, it's beside you." She said.

Shane took the phone from the bedside table, and she gave it to Valeria.

"Thank you." Valeria said, collecting the phone from her.

She checked the caller's ID, and she frowned when she saw it was Noah calling.

"What does he want now?" She thought.

"Who's it?" Shane asked.

"Err...it's Noah, I'll be back." Valeria said, she excused herself, then she went outside.

She sighed before answering the call.

"Hello." She said.

"I won't be coming to work today," Noah said, and she furrowed her brows.

"What do you mean?" She squinted her eyes as though he was in front of her.

"Change of plans, since I won't be coming to the company today, we just have to do something else," Noah said.

And that was when she noticed the weakness in his voice.

"Should I just stay back?" She asked and she could hear him sigh weakly.

"Just come over to my place," he said.

"What!!" She half yelled.

"You want me to come over to your place? That isn't part of our deal."

"Do you need a reminder? You're my sex toy and that literally means I can have you anywhere I want to. Be it my office, my home, at a hotel or wherever, that's my decision to make, not yours." Noah said.

"Fine! I have no problem meeting up with you, the only problem I have is coming to your house, I'm not meeting up with you there," She refused, which made Noah sigh.

"It's not the old house you once knew, Valeria. I've got my own private house, that's where you'll be coming to." Noah said, and Valeria sighed in relief.

"Fine then."

"Good, I'll just text you my address." Noah said, and he hung up.

A few seconds later, Valeria's phone beeped, she checked the message and it was Noah's home address.

"The fool is so impatient!" She scoffed.

"I'll have to lie to Shane that I'm going to work, and I can't believe I'll have to leave Fred too."

"I hate you Noah!" She spat, then she went back into the hospital.

She got there and she saw Shane was already feeding Fred.

"No, aunt, I'll feed myself." Fred said, and he took the spoon from her.

He tried to feed himself but he suddenly felt pains in his lower abdomen.

"Arrrh!!" He groaned and Valeria immediately rushed to him.

"Are you okay?" She asked and he slowly nodded.

"I'm fine."

"You aren't fully recovered baby, just let me do it, don't stress yourself." Shane said, and Fred handed the spoon over to her.

Shane took it and she continued feeding him.

Valeria stood there, not knowing how to tell them she'd be leaving.

"Umm Shane, I'll be going to work now." She said and Shane furrowed her brows inquisitively.

Valeria already knew the question she wanted to ask, so she quickly answered.

"I'll get going now, I'll tell you everything once I get back," Valeria said.

"Take good care of Fred, I love you Fred!" She said and she ran out, not leaving any room for discussion.

Valeria had already gone home, she did her necessary girly stuff, she took her bath, wore her clothes and she took her out of her bag.

Now she's on the roadside trying to flag down a taxi.

A few minutes later, she finally saw a taxi and she hopped in, after telling him the address of where she was headed.

She rested her head on the window and she heaved lightly.

The taxi driver pulled up in front of a huge mansion.

Valeria checked the address twice, in order to be sure if they were actually at the right place.

After confirming that she was in the right place, she paid the taxi driver and she went off.

She walked to the huge gate and she met the guard there.

"Who're you?" The guard asked.

"I'm Valeria, I'm here t_"

"You don't need to explain, you can go in, he's already told me you'll be coming." The guard said, he opened the gate and he let her in.

Valeria walked in and she opened her mouth in awe. Everything was too good to be true.
