Chapter 64: Chapter 64

Valeria sat on her bed fuming.

"I can't believe Ergon, what the hell is wrong with him?" She muttered angrily.

"He had better know how to control his jealousy or whatever it is, it's not like i love Noah or anything."

"This is just so frustrating." She sighed, then she laid down on her bed.

Noah was busy packing his luggage when someone knocked on his door.

"Come in." He mentioned, not taking his focus off from what he was doing.

Shiella came in and she was surprised to see Noah packing his luggage.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

Noah left what he was doing and he gave Shiella his full attention.

"Packing my stuff."

"I know, son, but I thought you wanted to stay for a little while longer," Shiella stated. Noah sighed.

"I've given it a lot of thought mom, I'll leave first thing tomorrow morning."

"Wow," Shiella said in surprise. Noah chuckled.

"Isn't that what you want, mother?"

"It is and it is not," Shiella replied. Noah furrowed his brow in confusion.

"What do you mean, mother?"

"I sometimes feel I shouldn't let you leave. I'll miss you so much son." She sniffed.

Noah smiled, then he went to hug her.

"I'll miss you too, mother, but it's necessary I leave."

"I know son." Shiella whispered.

"I should go tell your brother about this." Shiella said, pulling away from the hug.

"I don't think it's necessary mom, it's not like he'll miss me." Noah said. Shiella scoffed.

"That's nonsense, I'm going to tell him right now, after all, he'll come with us to the airport." Shiella said, then she left, even before Noah had the chance to say anything else.

Noah sighed deeply, then he went back to continue his packing.

"I'll have to say goodbye to Valeria before I leave, it won't hurt to make love to her one last time before leaving." Noah muttered with a small smile.

Shiella knocked on Ergon's door.

"Come in." She heard him say from inside.

She opened the door, then she went in, she met Ergon playing video games as usual, and she smiled.

"You're at it again," she muttered.

Ergon left his video game, then he turned his chair to face her.

"Mom." Ergon called with a smile.

"I have something to tell you." She said, then she went to sit on his bed.

"Okay mom, I'm listening."

"Your brother will be leaving soon, tomorrow to be precise, and we'll be taking him to the airport together. You can go see him so you two can catch up on some things. You know he'll be gone for a pretty long time," Shiella said.

Ergon didn't say anything.

"I don't know what went wrong, but you had better settle your differences before he leaves, he's still your brother." Shiella said, then she stood up.

"I hope you two will be able to talk things out." She said, then she left.

The minute she left, Ergon thought about it and he knew he needed to sort things out with his brother. Besides, he knew Noah hadn't done anything to him, he was just insecure about the fact that Noah had his dirty secret at hand.

What happened years ago still replayed in his memory, the way Noah threatened to take Valeria away from him.

"It's been years already, Ergon, let it go!" His subconscious mind stated.

"I know." Ergon heaved and he stood up, heading to Noah's room.

When he got to his room, he simply walked in.

"Hi." Ergon waved.

Noah left what he was doing and he faced Ergon.

"Hi." He said also.

"I heard you're traveling tomorrow," Ergon said.

"Yeah," Noah replied. He didn't know where Ergon was actually heading to, so he just. He flowed with the discussion anyhow he saw fit.

"I guess you have finally decided to do something useful with your life," Ergon said.

Noah saw what Ergon said as an insult to him but he decided not to react. What good would it do anyway?

"Yes, and you should also. Playing girls wouldn't lead you anywhere, you see? I've once been there and I know how it feels." Noah said.

"What are you insinuating?" Ergon said, pretending he didn't know where Noah was heading to.

"It's just brotherly advice, don't waste your life just like I did." Noah said. Deep down he knew he wasn't trying to advise Ergon or anything, he was just trying indirectly to ask him to take care of Valeria in his absence.

Ergon knew he had to make out what'd been bothering him for years, he needed to know so his mind would be at peace.

"Why?" Ergon asked and Noah furrowed his brows.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Why didn't you tell Valeria about what you knew between me and Shiela?" Ergon asked.

"Let it slide, Ergon, it's been years," Noah said.

"Still, I want to know about it, I want to know why, so I won't feel like I owe you one," Ergon said.

"Fine then, I didn't tell Valeria about it because I'm not a relationship wrecker, I wanted you to change your ways but you obviously didn't." Noah retorted.

"What do you mean by I didn't?" Ergon asked. He found it suspicious.

"I know you're still seeing Shiela Ergon, you didn't stop seeing her. How do you think Valeria will feel once she finds out about it?" Noah asked seriously.

"She won't and you won't tell her about it." Ergon glared.

"I won't."

"See? I'm traveling tomorrow so I need to rest. Could you just let me be!" Noah scoffed.

"I guess we'll never get to sort out our differences since you keep on saying things about my past," Ergon said.

"Does it look like I care?" Noah grinned.

"You can fuck off for all I care, besides, I didn't ask you to check on me." Noah stated.

"I pray you never get to come back," Ergon said, and he made to leave, but he suddenly stopped.

"Valeria is mine and no one can change that, not even you." Ergon scowled and he left.
