Chapter 34: Chapter 34

Noah frowned when Valeria yelled.

"Are you crazy? Why did you have to yell like that?" He said angrily.

"I... I'm sorry."

"Get out!." He spat.

She stood there watching him.

"Are you deaf or something? I said get out. Get out and go get me my juice."

"Alright." Sge quickly left his room.

Noah exhaled, he was trying so hard to calm himself. He believed Valeria deserves a lot more than what he's doing to her right now.

Valeria went to the kitchen again to get Noah his juice. Fortunately, she didn't see Erica.

She opened the fridge, and there she found varieties of juice. She became confused as to which one to pick. After staring for a while, she decided to go with apple juice. After all, who doesn't like apples.

She grabbed a bottle of apple juice, and left. She went upstairs to Noah's room, but before knocking on the door, she turned towards Ergon's room. Now she thought about it, since he returned from school, he hadn't come to see her, and she bet he must be in his room.

She hasn't seen him since today, and she kind of misses him. Though he's the reason she was having all these problems, it doesn't matter. Once she was done with Noah, she'd go see him. It's a bit strange that he hasn't come out of his room since he returned.

She knocked on Noah's door and yelled at her to open the door. And muttering some words she guessed were cuss words.

"God help me." She prayed silently as she opened the door and went in.

Noah sat on his bed with an angry look on his face.

"Here's your juice." Valeria spoke softly, stretching the bottle of apple juice to him.

Noah raised his brow in a questioning manner.

"What is that?" He asked. Valeria frowned.

That was definitely a stupid question to ask. Obviously, he could see she was holding an apple juice.

"I asked you, what is that?"

"It's apple juice," Valeria said, giving him the "Are you kidding me look."

"And who asked for it?" He asked, and Valeria's jaw dropped.

"Who asked for this?" He barked. Valeria jolted in fright.

"You asked me to get you a juice, and here it is. This is the juice you asked for." She said, feeling frustrated already.

"I asked you to get me a juice, and you brought an apple juice. I don't want it, get me an orange juice instead."

"I seriously can't believe this guy." Valeria said inwardly, she literally felt like hitting his head with a bat at that moment.

"Why are you still standing there like a dummy? Go do your work! Get me an orange juice, and serve it in a glass." He ordered.

Fool! Valeria cursed silently. She glared at him while he wasn't watching. She walked out of the room and slammed the door behind her.

She mumbled inaudible insults at Noah.

She arrived in the kitchen, went to the fridge, and kept the apple juice. She picked up a bottle of orange juice.

"He better not reject it this time." She said as she closed the fridge. She grabbed a glass cup, and poured the contents into it, and threw the empty bottle in the trash can.

Getting upstairs to his room, she met him outside waiting for her.

"Here," She said, stretching the juice to him.

Noah acted like he wanted to take the juice from her, but intentionally drew back his hand from the glass and it shattered on the floor with the juice.

"Oh my goodness!" Valeria shrieked.

"What the fuck just happened, huh? You incompetent fool! You can't do your job properly." Noah yelled, surprising her. She wasn't expecting him to act in such a way when everything was his fault.

"I..I wasn't the one who spilled the juice on the floor." She slowly stated.

"Then who did, me?" Noah barked.

"But I gave you the drink, you spilled it yourself." She tried defending herself.

"One more word from you and you'll regret ever working here." Noah threatened darkly, and she knew he meant every word he said.

"You shouldn't be here trying to defend yourself, you know what you're being paid for."

Valeria nodded her head, though she felt hurt by what he did. She had to leave so she could get the equipment for cleaning.

"Come back here." She immediately paused and turned back around.

"What's it again?" She mumbled.

"Pick this up with your hands."

"What!!" She yelled, with eyes wide open.

"Why the hell are you yelling around? Can't you let someone have peace of mind? I've been trying to ignore it but I just can't," Erica yelled from downstairs.

She hissed loudly and she began climbing up the stairs.

"Don't dare me, Valeria, do the needful." Noah retorted, ignoring what Erica said.

Valeria didn't have any choice, she slowly bent down to pick up the broken piece with her bare hands.

"Gosh! What did you do, Valeria?" Erica asked the minute she saw the broken glass.

"Why can't you concentrate for once in your life? You are always so lousy and slow. Making a mess everywhere. Goodness!"

"Please let me be Valeria. I didn't ask for your help," said Valeria.

"I wasn't gonna help you. I'm only here to scold you for not doing things properly!"

"What are you doing here, Erica?" Noah asked, eyeing her with disgust.

"I just came to-"

"To do what?" Noah interrupted.

"I just came to scold her for you," Erica replied.

"As what? My bodyguard or personal assistant? Or do I look like a liability that needed your help?" Noah asked.

"You shouldn't fucking meddle in things that don't concern you," Noah added.

Valeria was literally joyful inside, not minding her current situation. She hadn't started picking up the bottle because of her banter with Erica.

"Please don't misunderstand the situation. I'm sorry if I offended you." Erica apologised.

"Oh, you only wanted to help? You really wanna help?" Noah asked and she nodded.

"Valeria, you can go now. Erica would do it instead. Erica, are we clear?" Noah asked.

"Sir I.."

"You can go, Valeria," Noah repeated with a smirk. Valeria immediately stood up and immediately disappeared from their sight.
