Ergon returned home, went to his room and he locked himself up.

Valeria, who was in her room and watching the time, quickly stood up from her bed in excitement.

She believed Ergon should be back at that moment.

She rushed out of her room to go see Ergon.As she was climbing the stairs, she ran into Noah.

Her eyes met his, and the hateful look he gave her was enough to send cold shivers down her spine.

"You! You must be going to see someone important, isn't it?" He said sarcastically, but Valeria chose to ignore his words.

"Please excuse me," She stated.

She made to walk past him, but he grabbed her arm and held her wrist, tightly.

Valeria winced in pain, and tried to free her wrist from his grip.

"What do you think you are doing? Let me go, you're hurting me." She lamented, but Noah scoffed.

"You seem to be forgetting your place here. Now let me remind you, you're nothing but a maid here, and as a maid, you're meant to respect your boss. You have no right to walk past me when I'm still talking to you." Noah scolded with gritted teeth.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you suddenly behaving like this towards me? What's with the sudden change in behavior? Tell me, did I do something wrong to you, and if I did, you could just tell me, so I can apologize to you. There's no need for you to act this way towards me." Valeria explained with a deep frown on her face.

One moment he was acting all nice to her, and the next, he'd become a totally different person from the one she once knew.

"Even if I were to tell you what you did, your apology wouldn't solve anything. I hate you so much Valeria, you're nothing but a bitch and a gold digger! You're so shameless. You've got no shame at all and you disgust me." Noah spat.

Valeria felt like a knife was being pierced deep inside her heart, his words cut deep into her and it hurt her badly.

She couldn't tell what it was all about. Her eyes watered.

"Stop insulting and accusing me. None of what you said about me is true." Her voice quivered with unshed tears.

"You are, Valeria." Noah insisted with a dark glare.

"Every single word I just said is true, and we both know it. There's no need for you to hide your true self. I already know what you are. You're nothing but a shameless gold digger-"

"Enough!" Valeria half yelled with her eyes closed.

Noah smirked, and let go of her hand.

"Your job in this mansion is to serve and clean right, so now, go." He said, pushing her to the side.

"Go and get me something to drink, and bring it upstairs to my room, maid..." Noah stressed the last word.

He looked at her disgustingly, and left.

Valeria sniffed, then used the back of her hands to wipe off her tears.

She would have loved to quit working because she couldn't take the insults any longer. But then,she cannot quit, for the sake of her mom.

"I should endure this, for mom's sake." She said to herself.

She went down the stairs and went into the kitchen to get a drink for Noah.

When she got to the kitchen, thankfully Erica wasn't there to bully her as usual. It felt like everyone had been turning against her since she started dating Ergon.

She didn't do anything wrong about dating Ergon. Why can't they leave them alone to love themselves?

"Gosh, this is crazy." She mumbled and she took the bottle of water together with a glass cup.

On her way to Noah's room, she met Erica cleaning the living room.

Oh no! Not again!

"A slut hiding in maids' clothing," Erica mocked, but pretended to be cleaning.

Valeria paused her lips and paid deaf ears. She sighed and continued walking.

"She's a slut, everyone, she's a slut." Erica said loudly after her.

Gosh! She was trying to hold back. Why can't she just stop?

"I wonder what someone's mum would think if she were to find out her child was busy being a slut rather than the maid she was supposed to be. Gosh, I feel really sorry for her mum ," Erica stated. Valeria knew she had to pull a string. Being quiet wouldn't help her at all.

"At least being a slut is better than being a snake. If all this is because of Ergon, then I'm sorry to say this, he's mine. I'm sure you are just bitter because I'm with him." Valeria uttered and,, Ericapoked like she was going to light up.

"You think you're tough, huh? Wait until I tell your mum about this," Erica growled.

"You can do whatever you want, but my mum will never believe you? I'm her child anyway," Valeria stated.

"Another thing, you don't even know my mom."

She would have continued bantering words with Erica, but then she realised that she was on an errand for Noah.

"Go get a life Erica, stop being better." Valeria said and walked away, leaving Erica dumbstruck.

Valeria arrived at Noah's door. She heaved a deep, frustrating sigh, she knew she was in a deep sigh, because she didn't bring the water he asked for on time, all thanks to Erica.

She made to knock on the door but it suddenly opened, and Noah came into view, with an angered express.

"I'm sorry." She apologized, bowing her head, but Noah said nothing.

"Here's your water," She stretched the bottle of water towards him.

"Drink the water," Noah said plainly.

"What!!?" She half yelled.

"I said drink the water, don't let me repeat myself!" Noah barked. She didn't fail to notice the angry look on his face.

She slowly opened the bottle of water and she drank directly from the bottle, without the glass cup.

She exhaled deeply after drinking from the bottle. She was only able to drink a little of it.

"Now go get me a glass of juice." Noah ordered coldly.

"What!!" Valeria yelled.
