BRUCE

I woke up around 5am and saw Nanny Lily sleeping on a sofa while Tito came from restroom and looked like he just got dressed

"Are you going to work, uncle?" I asked

"Yes, I need to come in because I'm going to leave for another country soon. Please watch over Simoune for me! If you're going in school later, Nanny Lily will be here to watch her and guide her" uncle said

"No uncle, I won't go to school and I'll watch over Simoune first so that Nanny Lily will have an assistant to guide Simoune. Have you eaten yet?" I said

"Not yet, I'll eat outside. Just tell Nanny Lily that I'm leaving. I know Nanny Lily is tired because she fell asleep watching Simoune around 3am" uncle said

"Alright uncle, I'll take care of Simoune. Be careful in driving" I said

Uncle left and I was left awake in the room. I know Lucy isn't awake yet, so maybe I'll call her later and tell her that I can't go in school

I went out first to get some air and of course I also bought something that Nanny Lily and I can eat this morning

When I got back to Simoune's room, Nanny Lily was already awake

"Oh you're still here Bruce I thought you were going home, because you have a class" Nanny Lily said

"I just bought our food, Nanny Lily" *I handed the food to Nanny Lily*

"Aren't you coming to school later?" Nanny Lily said

"No, maybe I'll come in when Simoune's condition is better. So that I don't have to worry" I said

"Simoune is very lucky to have a friend like you" Nanny Lily said

"I am also very lucky with her"

"You know I don't understand why all these things are happening to Simoune, since she and Vince have been together, the misfortunes that happen to Simoune have not stopped" Nanny Lily said

"That's why, maybe there's a reason why everything is like this. It can't be without a reason" I said

"I can't answer that but I just want to watch over Simoune now. I've been watching Simoune for several years, she's such a good kid that I don't fully understand why she's being tortured and all because of Vince" Nanny Lily said

"I hope that Simoune recovers quickly so that she can go to school, I will make sure that I will drop her off and pick her up every day" I said

"Thank you, Bruce, for taking care of Simoune" Nanny Lily said

Nanny Lily and I ate first, when we finished eating, Simoune woke up

"Nanny Lily" Simoune whispered

“You remember me? They said you have amnesia" Nanny Lily said

"I remember that you are Nanny Lily but I don't remember how we met" Simoune said with a disappointment face

"That's not important as long as you remember me, I'm okay" Nanny Lily said

Nanny Lily hugged Simoune and immediately prepared her something to eat. Simoune ate well while looking at me

"You? You were here yesterday. Are you really my friend?” Simoune

"Yes, but don't try to remember me, maybe you will remember me too, but not now" I said

"But wait? You look so familiar to m—---” Simoune

"AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHhHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Simoune yelled while holding her head

Simoune screamed while holding her head and Nanny Lily immediately went out to call the Doctor

When the doctor came, she gave Simoune a sleeping pill and it immediately hit Simoune and she fell asleep immediately.

"Why did she scream Doc? Does she have any pain?" I asked

"When she tries to remember something, her brain gets triggered, causing pain, so she screamed earlier" Doctor said

"Maybe she's trying to remember you, Bruce, but her brain can't handle it" Nanny Lily said

"When I wake her up, let's just relax her and don't force her to remember everything because her head will hurt even more when she thinks about it" Doctor said

"Alright doc, thank you for the information." Nanny Lily said

Doc left Simoune's room and Nanny Lily and I were left dumbfounded

"Simoune shouldn't try to remember me Nanny Lily" I said

"It's not your fault Bruce, when she wakes up I'll tell her so she doesn't force herself to remember everything" Nanny Lily said

I was about to speak when suddenly my phone rang and Lucy was calling

“Bruce? Are you ready?” Lucy said

"I haven't told you yet, I won't go in school right now, I'm still in the hospital watching over Simoune" I said

"How about our research?" Lucy asked

"I'll take care of it, I'll do it here at the hospital, I'll bring my laptop" I said

"Alright, be careful! How is Simouone?” Lucy said

"She's okay but when she tries to remember everything, it causes pain in her head so she was given sleeping pills to calm her down" I said

"Hmmmm! Poor my best friend! Oh okay, I'll go later and I'll accompany you to take care of Simoune" Lucy said

"Are you ready now?" I asked

"Just getting dressed" Lucy said

"I'll come in your house and I'll take you in school" I said

"Nevermind! Don't think about me. It's waste of gas" Lucy said

"It's better for me to run out of gas than for you to drive, and later you'll be the one in the accident" I said

"Alright, I'll take do my thing first" Lucy said

I immediately said goodbye to Nanny Lily to leave first

"Nanny Lily, I'm going to go see Lucy and take her to school first. I'm worried that she might drive a car and have an accident also. I want to be more careful because of what happened to Simoune" I said

"Oh okay, you too be careful" Nanny Lily said

I left Simoune's room and immediately went to Lucy's house. I just arrived and it's already outside their house

"I told you not to take me in school anymore" Lucy said

"It's okay, at least I know you're safe" I said

We went straight to school and when we arrived at school, Lucy said goodbye to me

"Oh, I'm going in now" Lucy said

"Text me or chat if I'll pick you up. Also tell all our professors that I won't be able to enter because of the emergency that happened" I said

"Alright, I'll take care of it, I'll do it, I'll just ask what we'll do in the thesis and then we'll do it in the hospital" Lucy said

"All right. thank you" I said

Shee walked into the campus and then I drove back to the hospital. When I got back to the hospital, I saw Simoune still sleeping while Nanny Lily was cleaning up

"Oh, you're already here, can I leave you here for a while?" Nanny Lily said

"Okay, where are you going?" I asked

"I'll just go shopping and go home for a while. It's not possible to feed Simoune only unhealthy foods. Just keep an eye on her and I'll be right back" Nanny Lily said

"Alright, Nanny Lily, I'll take care of her. Are you going to commute?” I said

"Yes, that's okay! don't think about me, Simoune will be left here alone if you drop me in the house, so it's better that you're here" Nanny Lily said

"You're going to get stressed, Nanny Lily" I said

"That's okay as long as it's for Simoune then it's okay" Nanny Lily said

Nanny Lily came out and I sat in front of Simoune

Until when are you going to lie in that bed Simoune? How long will you be able to escape from all the hardships you are experiencing now I lost my stupor when Simoune's eyes suddenly widened

"Oh you woke up, are you hungry?" I asked

"I'm not very hungry, wait? Where is Nanny Lily?” Simoune said

"She just went shopping and she'll be right back here, don't worry" I said

"Ah, is that so" Simoune said

"Yes, Simoune, the doctor said it is not advisable for you to try to remember all the past because your head will get really hurt. let it rest first and try to remember the things you have forget little by little" I said

"Is that why my head hurt earlier?" Simoune said

"Yes, maybe because you forced me to remember" I said

"You look so familiar to me but I can't remember where I saw you and how I met you" Simoune said looking at me so confused

"Don't worry, it's better that you don't think hard because you will suddenly get a headache" I said

"Alright, I won't force myself to remember the past. Thank you for telling me that" Simoune said

I served food to Simoune, and she immediately ate it. I'm happy because she doesn't remember me, I don't know why but I feel like she didn't remember me as a friend but as an unknown person to her. I get to know her better and she gets to know me better now which makes me happy

"Have I really known you for a long time? Even when you were with a girl on the last day?” Simoune asked

"Yes, we've been your friends since senior high school and now it's the 4th year of college, but of course because of the accident you won't be able to enter first" I said

"Come on? Am I absent in school?" Simoune said

"Yes, because you're here" I said

We looked at the door when suddenly someone came in, I didn't know her but Simoune seemed to know her

“Clarisse!?” Simoune yelled

"Simoune!!! *She ran to Simoune and hugged her* I didn't see you back here yesterday because I went to school and told what happened to you" Clarisse said

"You also know what happened to me?" Simoune asked

"Yes, I even called your daddy and took him to the hospital. Don't you remember?” Clarisse said

"Hello Clarisse! I'm Bruce, Simoune's friend, it's sad to think but Simoune has other memories that she can't remember because of the accident that happened to her, so maybe she can't remember what you're saying. Are you her classmate?” I said

"Yes, we are the same transferee at De La Salle. Are you referring to Amnesia?” Clarisse said

"She's not super amnesiac, the doctor said the memory loss that happened to Simoune was mild, so it's possible that she can still remember everything" I said

"Is that so? How many days will you be absent from this Simoune?" Clarisse asked

"I don't know, maybe when I'm discharged I can. Maybe I will remember everything when I go in school every day" Simoune said while smiling

"I will take you to school every day and pick you up so I know you are safe" I said

"You are so sweet to Simoune! That was so nice!" Clarisse said

"Thank you— wait, what's your name again?" Simoune asked me

"Bruce, I'm Bruce" I said

"Thank you Bruce for the concern and taking care of me" Simoune said

"You're welcome" I said

"Bruce, I won't be staying here at the hospital for long because I'm going to school anyway. I only came here to see that Simoune was safe. I'm leaving" Clarisse said

“Alright, be careful!” I said

"Simoune, I'm leaving, get well soon! I'll tell the professors about your situation so they know you can't get in school" Clarisse said

"thank you, Clarisse" Simoune said

Clarisse went out and Simoune decided to go to bed first. I just stare at Simoune until she falls asleep, while I just sit on the sofa and talk on the phone. I hope you get well soon Simoune, all I ask for now is that you get better and I hope you doesn't get damaged again

Nanny Lily came and saw Bruce sleeping so she didn't wake him up and then arranged Simoune's things so that when she woke up she would clean her wounds and take a bath. It only took a few minutes for Simoune to wake up so Nanny Lily decided to accompany her to the restroom to take a bath and after she finished taking a bath, Nanny Lily cleaned the wound on Simoune's head

The doctor said it should be cleaned every day. After bathing Simoune and cleaning her wound, Nanny Lily handed her food

Simoune seems to be hungry because Nanny Lily's cooking looks delicious. After Simoune finished eating, Nanny Lily also ate and put away some food

After lunch, a nurse came in to check on Simoune as well as her condition. She has also been given medicine for the wounds she sustained and of course also for the pains she feels in her head

After taking the medicine, Nanny Lily put Simoune to sleep and when she fell asleep, Nanny Lily also went to sleep.

While Bruce was still asleep on the sofa. Lucy's class is over and she calls Bruce but he doesn't answer

Will Bruce still be able to get Lucy? Or will he just sleep until night!?
