Chapter 17: Chapter 17
My eyes hurt when I attempted to clean up some time prior. I'm still in shock about what happened the previous evening. Beside the stunning disclosure, I've been stressing since the previous evening since I never got to let him know what I needed to say as a matter of fact.
Tyler is one of my actual companions, and he really realizes each mysterious we have in our loved ones. His family maintains a winery business around the US, and he's just here in light of her mom. We delighted in playing previously; however, everything abruptly went down when he chose to live in Washington with his sister, Chiara. I've at absolutely no point ever had the opportunity to converse with him in the future, yet he typically sent me loads of presents on each birthday that I had. In the new one, he got me a restricted version sack from London just to make up for the day he irritated me in the US whenever I had the opportunity to visit him quite a while back.
Seeing him the previous evening provided me with an unexpected feeling of culpability. It's sort of hard for me at the present time.
...
The previous evening...
"You've developed," he expressed, resting on the entryway.
He looked a great deal more developed and delicate than expected. He had these round green eyes and slender lips, and his super-characterized facial structure made his face much more attractive.
"You've developed, as well," I was unable to track down the correct method for responding to him. I'm actually befuddled about how I ought to respond.
He strolled towards the closest seat, changed it, and flagged me to plunk down. I was as yet baffled inside when I grinned at him and plunked down. He then in the long run sat in the closest seat alongside me.
Seeing him caused me to feel like a youngster once more. He used to get me without fail, right when I escaped our vehicle after I went to class in the first part of the day. He'll continuously convey me on his back while heading to the tree house that we made simply close to the waterway on the edges of the manor. We were all straightforward in those days, however at the present time, it feels unique.
He's not looking at me straight without flinching, and he's bustling putting some food on my plate while I'm similar to an all out rock in this friggin seat. He's a refined man, yet I actually don't have the foggiest idea how to move toward him after so long that we've been separated.
"You're in all out shock," he said in a masculine voice. Indeed, even in his voice, I can't experience any glow.
I recently grinned and disregarded it. I was going to say something when I talked.
"I know, it's OK to be confused," he laughed in the wake of saying that.
At the point when he served me my own plate, I took a gander at the food he got for me. He actually understands what my most loved is. I felt something about it, yet one thing is without a doubt: it's not even limit and complimenting like when I'm with Kendric. It's more similar to an inclination where you at last see your tragically missing companion once more. That is all there is to it.
There's no flash by any stretch of the imagination.
Also, that is what I truly need to keep away from on account of this arrangement. I know, as a matter of fact, that my father will go to somebody who I'm close with, however the issue with that will be that I realize I wouldn't spread the word about that horrendous game plan for somebody I've since my experience growing up.
"How could you get to contact my father?" I asked as pleasantly as possible. I even put a major grin all over. How choking out this is.
"Monique," he called me by my subsequent name. "I believe you should relax."
In the wake of hearing those words, I felt a little free string on my neck that unraveled briefly. Perhaps he can detect that disliking this sort of plan.
"So what occurred?" I enthusiastically asked once more.
He put down his utensils and peered down at his food. He took a full breath and said, "Nobody has reached me from your folks."
"My mom advised me to date you and wed you at last."
I cycle my lips to keep away from any word upchuck that I could commit. The last thing I believe should do before him is make an explosion of upheaval that will simply destroy our companionship.
Yet, why in the world did he not reject? That is so screwed up.
I in the end peered down at my plate and remained silent the entire time we were eating. I would rather not take a gander at my dear companion and imagine that I'm OK wedding him since it's simply the opposite way around.
I would rather not date him.
Minutes have passed, we're still calm to the point that I can nearly hear his relaxing. I chose to stand up and get my plate. At the point when she gazed toward me, I promptly said something.
"Rest and attempt to choose once more about this arrangement."
I was going to leave the eating corridor when he said something.
"Do you expect that I need this? I'm doing this for you."
The expression all over quickly made me scowl as I confronted him once more.
"What are you referring to?" I asked, wearing to keep my out in salvageable shape.
His face wasn't calm any longer. He totally lost any measure of fairness on his body as he looked so dim and angry. He's showing that he's furious about this plan, however do I seem as though I care about it? He said it himself that what he did by coming here was only a request, and I'm almost certain there's a badge of remuneration for this demonstration. Simply an essential, rich individuals sort of move.
Perhaps he's been my companion previously, yet I don't think it'll turn out for us.
"Simply return home," I said with conclusion.
"You're in a tremendous obligation, Angela," he said, and he let out a frightening grin I wasn't anticipating from him.
"Your dad as of late endangered your chain of organizations by taking a hazardous bet in a club that my folks possessed."
I fix my grasp on the plate that I'm holding. This is the disclosure that I'm not anticipating from him. It's an uncommon issue that my family will fail.
"My dad's as of now holding each of your organizations instead of your poor and debilitated father. How solid is that, honey?"
I nearly felt wiped out as I heard him call me honey. I felt disdain crawling all around my body, and I swallowed as I attempted to remain created.
I can express that there's a major contrast between when Kendric attempted to consider me that charm and what Tyler said that made me uncomfortable.
"Simply leave," I expressed, attempting to track down the right words to say. "Leave for the present."
He walked out of the feasting corridor, leaving me shaking from the news I heard from him. I was surprised by the considerations going through my mind, and I even dropped the plate I was holding. Spread bits of broken plate around me got me thinking insane, and I just cried quickly.
....
After staring for a long time at my ceiling, I suddenly came to the conclusion that I should have a gap year for now.
Yes, a gap year from the university wouldn't hurt my credentials after all.
Adding all the stress I've had lately to my academic load will just drain me even more. It's not like I don't want to study anymore, but maybe it's the best I can do to lessen the heavy burden on my heart. Plus, there's no other way that could bring my reputation back to the top again because of what my shitty block mate did.
Better be off and away from them.
It was already 10 a.m. when I decided to go downstairs and look for something to eat. It's not my hobby to eat early in the morning, but the way I left the dining hall last night not full enough just made me hungry now. As I walked down the stairs, I could smell the fresh aroma from the kitchen. I smiled, thinking about who might be cooking my meal today.
I walked quickly, as I thought that Aunt Lucille's face would welcome me inside. As for confirmation, she's cooking peacefully while playing with something, or someone, rather, that's currently on the other side of her that I'm not seeing.
"Auntie," I called. She looked in my direction and smiled at me.
"Looking good today, darling."
I immediately hugged her from behind. The last time I hugged her and saw her was way back when I was a young kid, and now that I'm a grownup, I can tell the difference. This is much more comfortable and warm than the typical hug from a kid version of myself.
"Ma'am, you have a visitor," a maid suddenly appeared to inform me.
I frowned as I got curious. I wasn't expecting a visitor, and Deniece didn't mention anything about him.
"Did you ask for his name?" I asked, feeding my curiosity.
"I did, but he preferred that you see to it first."
I nodded at that maid and followed her to the garden, where she said someone was waiting for me. I shouldn't have anticipated this kind of surprise so much, but I'm hoping he'll just pop in front of me again, just like he did last time.
I just wish that it was him for the second time.
As I saw the familiar white van from the main door of our mansion, I smiled widely and ran as fast as I could. That's Deniece's car again!
Also, I saw a familiar man sitting on one of the swings we had while talking to a girl. They're both not looking in my direction, but I can recognize them; it's Deniece and Kendric.
When I'm almost near them, I tiptoe and quickly grab Deniece by wrapping my arms around her neck. She immediately pinched my arm as she groaned.
"I'm not your monkey bar, for goodness sake!" She exclaimed while laughing so hard.
"I missed you," I said as I patted her head.
Meanwhile, I took a glance at Kendric, and he was looking at us with a big smile on his face. I can't suddenly fight the feelings about what we did the other day.
"Do you really miss me, or do you just want to express it to me, but it's really for my half-blood shit brother?" She asked while pointing at me, like she was accusing me of a big crime.
"Whatever you think about it, then go think like it."
She raised an eyebrow upon hearing what I said. By the time she walked away from me, she had picked up a huge backpack inside their van. She placed it in front of me.
"I'll be the chaperone in this love story," she laughed while saying that.
I simply pinched her on the side of her waist, trying to stop her from teasing me too much. Kendric's just in front of us; it's kind of embarrassing.
"Can we stay here?" Kendric's voice got me looking at him. He's much calmer and more delicate today. Well, that's usual for him.
"I can spare a room for you two," I said as I clenched my fist to hide my extreme excitement.
It'll be like a vacation for us. It's been a long time since I visited the beach here nearby, so maybe I can enjoy it this time with them.
"Hello, I'm here."
I was so caught up in Kendric and his perfectly fine face that I almost forgot that his sister, my best friend, was right beside me.
"Whipped, huh?" She poked out the side of my waist and laughed. Kendric also chuckled with Deniece, and I can't focus because of his stare.
But my excitement just stirred up a nervous feeling when I saw someone walking so cocky with his hands on his front pocket of his pants and smiling arrogantly from afar. He was arranging his sunglasses as he walked towards us.
"Who's that guy?" Kendric suddenly asked in a darker tone of voice. He also stood up and walked towards me.
I can already feel the tension that's beginning to spark up.
By the time Tyler stopped walking meters away from us, he smirked and looked at me.
"I didn't get any notice that you'd be expecting some visitors today," he said as he took off his sunglasses.
"That will be staying for at least a week here." Kendric's voice got darker.
Tyler shifted his gaze to Kendric.
"Nuisance."
I gasped for a moment when I heard what Tyler just said.
"Asshole."
But my attention was drawn to Kendric when he said one word that fired up the tension even more. As I looked in Tyler's direction, he wasn't even smirking.
At that moment, I just realized that I'd never get the rest I wanted for the rest of the week.
