“Really!” Xiao Xie let out surprise and her eyes shines with happiness “yes, so the person ask for your name and your exam number to check if your result was due to the computer error” Billy said and continues “then I tell him your name and exam number and this morning the person calls my grandfather and tells him that you pass and that the result has been corrected” Billy said and smile “so I quickly went to check it and print it out and I wait till now to surprise you” Billy concludes beaming with joy
“l can't believe this” Xiao Xie said still surprise, she did not want to believe what Billy said but since she thinks that Billy will not lie to her and the result is also not fake, Xiao Xie decides to truly believe it but then she suddenly stand up, Billy looks at Xiao Xie as she suddenly stand up thinking that Xiao Xie did not believe him but Xiao Xie then hugs Billy’s neck
Billy thinks he will be caught with his lies but he did not expect that Xiao Xie will believe him “oh! My neck, I can't breathe” Billy said as Xiao Xie hugs his neck tightly “sorry” Xiao Xie quickly let him go, Billy smile looking at Xiao Xie’s happy face “but how did you know my exam number?” Xiao Xie asks Billy because her exam number is with her, Billy look shock as he is caught off guard “oh! You see, yesterday” Billy said and pause because he did not know what to say “yesterday I cram it” Billy finds something quickly to said “you know am smart” Billy quickly adds so Xiao Xie will believe him, he will have been caught but it was thanks to his perfect lies, Billy scratch his head out of habit “that is true” Xiao Xie said admitting that Billy is smart and smile proudly
Xiao Xie stares at Billy for some time and suddenly kiss his cheek “I love you” she proclaim, Billy look startled “what did you just say? Say it again” Billy said with excitement “forget it if you don't hear” Xiao Xie said shyly “please” Billy plead with her “did you want to hear it some much?” Xiao Xie decides to tease Billy “yes” Billy answer her instantly “beg me then” Xiao Xie said like a lady boss “please your highness” Billy plead like a child, Xiao Xie smile and look at Billy then kiss his lips suddenly
Billy's eyes become extra large but before he could react, Xiao Xie already sits back “what was that?” Billy said and look dumbfounded at Xiao Xie, he could still feel the touch of Xiao Xie’s lips on his lips since he could not get enough of it he lick his lips “should we take a little alcohol? Since I am eighteen and you are almost nineteen, also we are about to leave high school no one will know” Xiao Xie is really happy so she want them to drink alcohol, since Xiao Xie is suggesting it Billy also agrees
They order for two bottles of beer, it’s the first time Xiao Xie will taking alcohol so she quickly get drunk, because she is so happy, she start talking about so many things, how they suffer in her family and Billy came into her life and become someone who always help her, she tells Billy she love him so much, Billy is just looking at her and smiling, after Xiao Xie said everything in her mind, she fall asleep, Billy smile looking at Xiao Xie sleeping face, he feels that it was Xiao Xie who came into his life to brighten his life not the other way round like Xiao Xie said
Billy then text Ray to come and pick him later at Xiao Xie's house, Billy lift Xiao Xie's head to wake her so they will leave but Xiao Xie is really drunk and fast asleep, because of the alcohol her face is so red and her pink lips look radiant it makes Billy remember how Xiao Xie kissed her earlier, he stare at her lips and kiss it then he carries her on his back and walk to her house
when they gets to the front of her house, Billy wake Xiao Xie up “Xie, we are at your house you have to come down” Billy said but Xiao Xie did not hear him, since Billy could not leave her outside, he knocks on the door to her house, Xiao Xie's mother immediately open the door to see who the person is, Xiao Xie’s mother is surprise to see that Billy is carrying Xiao Xie so she quickly let him in, Billy enters the house fearfully because it is the first time he will be going into Xiao Xie's house
Though the house is small but it is neat and tidy, Xiao Xie's mother lead Billy to Xiao Xie's room , Billy then put her on the bed and her mother cover her up, Billy and Xiao Xie's mother leaves the room and went to the sitting room “what happen to her?” Xiao Xie’s mother asks Billy instantly “hum…” Billy is caught off guard, he scratch his head because he don't know what to say “am Billy, Xiao Xie's friend from School” he later said and bow to greet Xiao Xie’s mother
Since it is an opportunity to introduce himself properly, he pause and continue “Xiao Xie is happy today, so...so” he stammers “she drink a little beer” Billy adds slowly looking scared, he looks down to avoid Xiao Xie’s mother gaze, Xiao Xie's mother stare at Billy suspiciously hearing what he said “are you the one that came for Xiao Xin's funeral?” Xiao Xie’s mother suddenly ask because she remember Billy’s face at the funeral “yes” Billy quickly answer with relief that Xiao Xie’s mother remembers him
Xiao Xie's mother look at Billy again suspiciously “are you that grandfather's grandson?” she ask inquisitively, Billy immediately look up and look shocked, he did not expect that Xiao Xie's mother will relate him to his grandfather, when Billy did not answer and look shocked, Xiao Xie's mother already understand that the old man from before is really Billy’s grandfather, so she nods her head “I guess his your grandfather” Xiao Xie’s mother said and sigh deeply, since Billy already knows what his grandfather did to Xiao Xie’s parents, he look disturb and his heart is unsettled
“Have your seat” Xiao Xie’s mother said to Billy, Billy then slowly sit down and did not dare to look at Xiao Xie’s mother, Xiao Xie's mother then went to prepare tea for him, since Xiao Xie's father is not yet at home, Xiao Xie's mother decides to have a little talk with Billy, she brings the tea after some time
“ I can see that you are so kind to Xie” Xiao Xie’s mother said and place the tea before Billy “Xie is our only child now after we lost Xin” Xiao Xie’s mother said and also sit down “you know what it means” she adds and look a little sad “though you are that old man's grandson, I don’t want to interfere with your relationship” Xiao Xie’s mother said “but” she adds and pause “you have to promise me that you will take good care of Xie” Xiao Xie’s mother said and sigh “though we are not rich but we have dignity” she said and look into Billy's eyes to know if Billy understands her
When Billy notice that Xiao Xie’s mother is looking straight at him, he quickly talk “I love Xiao Xie and I promise you, nothing will happen to her, I will make sure to take good care of her” Billy said hastily, Xiao Xie's mother smile mockingly hearing what Billy said “okay, since you said that, I will take your words for it” she said and stand up then went to the kitchen “did she just approve our relationship?” Billy thinks excitedly “oh!” Billy exclaim in his mind happily, he is so happy hearing what Xiao Xie's mother just said, he then drinks the tea and later leave Xiao Xie's house.
