Chapter 50 Sex is Forbidden!

Bella rushed to the strange man, ready to raise the lifter to hit him when he quickly raised his hands in surrender.

Bella hurriedly stopped and identified the strange person in front of her as just an unarmed middle-aged man.

Immediately afterward, another man limped out from the back of the house on crutches, and Bella fixed her eyes and saw the man was Edward.

"Bella, you're back," Edward approached Bella, smiled at her, but was surprised, "What happened? Why are you holding the weight lifter?"

Bella realized that the whole thing was a misunderstanding, and laughed awkwardly. She tossed the weight lifter aside, and turned to Edward, "Nothing, I just saw no lights in the house and thought you weren't home," and then pointing her finger towards the strange man, Bella continued, "Then I saw this gentleman loitering around our house..."

As confused as she was at the absurd incident, she shrugged her shoulders as a sign of annoyance.

"Ha-ha, you thought I was a thief or some criminal, didn't you?" chuckled the stranger with a wide grin.

"I'm sorry, I overreacted." Bella lowered her head while scratching it to hide her embarrassment.

Edward walked over to Bella, bowed to the stranger and said, "I'm sorry, Dr. Leonard, I apologize on behalf of my wife," Edward looked back at Bella and continued, "Let me introduce you. This is Dr. Leonard. He has been taking care of my legs, and he came here to give a health check on my legs."

"Oh! I forgot." Bella slapped her forehead carelessly. It had been such a bad day that she had forgotten all about it.

"Never mind, Ms. Bella, I admire your courage in being brave enough to raise your weapon in order to protect your husband in a potentially dangerous situation!" Dr. Leonard exclaimed.

Bella helped Edward to guide the doctor inside the house.

In the bright light, Dr. Leonard got a good look at Bella's face and was shocked to see how similar Bella and Lanny looked.

Yesterday, Lanny posed as Bella to visit him at the hospital, and afterward, he reported the incident to Andrew, who explained to him that Bella was Edward's wife, and Lanny was Bella's sister as well as Edward's ex-wife. Bella was a kind woman while Lanny was mean-spirited, and Lanny tried to torment Bella and Edward in every way possible.

Leonard stared at Bella's face and secretly marveled, 'Although Bella and Lanny look so similar, Bella's eyes are pure and her expression is gentle, while Lanny is aggressive and her eyes reveal manipulations. What is it about these two sisters that make their personalities so different?'

"Dr. Leonard, would you like coffee or Coke?" Bella's inquiry pulled Leonard's thoughts back to reality.

"Coffee, no sugar, please." Leonard smiled in embarrassment, realizing that he had just stared at Bella in a rude manner.

Soon, Bella brought Leonard a cup of piping hot coffee and he gratefully accepted it.

"Doctor, can I ask you to join us for dinner tonight?" Bella invited him warmly.

Leonard peeked over at Edward who nodded to him. He was relieved to accept the invitation.

Bella was excited to go to the kitchen to prepare dinner when she remembered that the roast chicken was left in the car.

Bella went to the car and took it out.

Suddenly, a dark figure flashed in the corner. Bella looked around and didn't see anything unusual.

"I must have been mistaken." She muttered to herself and carried the roast chicken back to the house.

Bella was in the kitchen preparing tonight's dinner. Edward and Dr. Leonard were in the study room, talking.

Half an hour later, Bella brought the freshly grilled steak to the table, while Edward and Leonard came out of the study.

"Dinner is green beans with steak, come and try it." Bella said to them with a smile, she winked at Edward and said, "There's also your favorite roast chicken in the microwave, I brought it over from the company's restaurant."

'So Bella had that roast chicken packed just to bring it to me.' Edward thought joyfully.

All three of them were eating their dinner. Bella was eating her steak while thinking about what questions she needed to ask Dr. Leonard.

"Dr. Leonard, may I ask when Edward's leg will fully recover?" Bella asked.

"It will be about a month or so before he can walk normally," Leonard answered. Edward had already told him to say so in advance.

"Wow! It only takes a month for him to walk normally, thanks to you, thank you, doctor." Bella said to Leonard gratefully.

"No, this is mainly because Edward is an Alpha, his healing ability is far beyond that of normal people, I just did something insignificant and small." Before Bella's gratitude, Leonard was a little embarrassed.

"Doctor, you are too modest. By the way, is there anything I can do in terms of daily care?" Bella asked.

"He needs to eat more high-protein meat, such as beef," Leonard said, a smile surfacing at the corner of his mouth, "In addition to diet, you need to give Edward's leg a massage once a day, for half an hour each time. By the way, before recovery, you have to be careful when you make love, which may hurt his leg.

Hearing this, Bella's face instantly reddened, and she replied in a small voice, "Thank you, I know."

Leonard glanced at Edward with his afterglow, and he saw that Edward's face was also wearing a smile.

'They really are a loving couple.' Leonard felt happy for them from the bottom of his heart.

Although Edward was a powerful Alpha and Bella was born with no wolf, they were more in love than all the mates he had ever seen.

After seeing Dr. Leonard off, Bella took Edward to his room and laid him down on the bed.

"What are you going to do, dear?" Edward asked with a smile.

"A massage for your legs," Bella replied.

"But just now Dr. Leonard said the best form of care is not a massage." Edward looked at Bella with a wicked grin.

"Oh? Then what should it be?" Bella looked at Edward with an innocent look on her face and stopped moving her hands.

"That would be sex!" said Edward as he took Bella into his arms.

"No! The doctor clearly mentioned that sex is not recommended, that would hurt your leg!" Bella protested.

"That's what you heard wrong." Edward chuckled, holding Bella tighter in his arms.

"No, we can't have sex until your legs heal."Bella broke away from his hug.

"So you're saying we can sleep in the same bed after my legs heal?"Edward smiled cheekily.

"That depends," Bella said, tilting her head proudly.
