Chapter 37: Chapter 37

Chapter 37 The Consequence

Bella shivered.

Although Mrs. Wilson treated her badly, she couldn't let her imagination run wild like this.

She should focus on Edward. Just forget Mrs. Wilson and the president!

"They are abroad." Of course, Edward wouldn't tell her the truth.

Bella believed him and then asked him, "Have they settled abroad?"

"Yes, they have adapted to the life there, so they never come back."

Hearing this, Bella was surprised. "Didn't they come back to see you when you got injured?"

Edward lied to her calmly, "I didn't tell them."

Bella's heart was bitter.

No matter who had a car accident and became disabled, he needed support and company.

Every time she was sad, she wanted her mother to accompany her, hug her, and wipe her tears.

Edward had suffered so much alone, but he pretended to be unconcerned. He must feel so sad, right?

Fortunately, they had been with each other.

She had a sense of security because of him, and he would be happy because of her, wouldn't he?

She believed she could make him happy!

The soap opera was over. Bella picked up the remote control and asked, "Is there any TV program you want to watch?"

"Whatever." Edward didn't care about the TV program. He sat here to accompany Bella.

Bella smiled and said, "There's a new TV show. I heard it's funny. Why don't we watch it together?"

"Sounds good."

"Okay."

However, Bella found her suggestion sucked in less than five minutes.

Why did the TV station broadcast such a boring show?

The praise for this TV show was fake.

She looked at the time and realized it was late, so she didn't waste time on the boring TV show.

Bella turned off the TV. After saying good night to each other, they went back to their rooms to sleep.

The next day was the weekend. After breakfast, Bella took out her canvas shopping bag and went out to the nearby mall.

Before leaving, she sat in the driver's seat and waved goodbye to Edward. She looked so energetic as if she was going to buy the whole mall.

Shopping could always make women excited, though Bella was just going to buy some tissues and plastic film.

Edward waved at her on the balcony and smiled as she drove away.

Andrew appeared behind Edward like a ghost.

Edward's expression returned to indifferent. "Yesterday I told her my family had been living abroad. Ask someone to forge the relevant documents as soon as possible. Remember to finish it quickly."

Hearing the instruction, Andrew immediately replied, "I see."

He reminded Edward, "President, I don't think Mrs. Bella will investigate you."

He never neglected Edward's orders. However, Edward was composed no matter what happened. He seldom asked Andrew to finish something as soon as possible.

Didn't Edward know how great his acting skills were?

Besides, it seemed that Bella firmly believed everything Edward said.

Edward turned his head slightly, looked at Andrew coldly, and said, "Is that so? Can you bear the consequence if she senses something wrong?"

Andrew's legs went limp, and he almost knelt down.

Could he bear the consequence?

For Bella, Edward could even go against Mrs. Wilson, not to mention a bodyguard.

If Bella suspected Edward because of him, Edward would kill him.

He would die a terrible death.

In order to survive, Andrew immediately said, "I'll do it right away. I promise that even the best detective won't find anything wrong with it."

Edward looked away.

In the blink of an eye, Edward was alone on the balcony again.

A leaf fell from the tree. Andrew was nowhere to be seen.

In David and Lanny's house.

Lanny's shrill scream sounded in the living room. "You bastard! I just bought a few things, but you question me madly. How stingy you are!"

David said with a livid face, "A few things? You almost bought the whole shop!"

When he looked at the figures on the bill again, his eyes and head ached severely.

He was not an enviable rich second generation, but he had nice parents. When he was a student, his parents only let him concentrate on studying and gave him enough money.

After getting married, he became the head of the family and worked hard to earn money and support his family.

Although he was not proud of Bella, Bella was frugal. She could let them live a comfortable life with the least money.

Therefore, they saved a lot of money as time went by.

He took it for granted.

After getting promoted, he got a pay rise, but he didn't save more money. Instead, he had fewer savings.

It was all because of Lanny.

Before they got married, she dressed up well every day and bought luxurious goods, so he thought she knew how to enjoy her life, and she was as exquisite as a princess.

But when Lanny married him and used his money, he realized she was a spendthrift. She lived a very lavish lifestyle.

Every time he saw her take out the bank cards from her bag, he was anxious.

She was a bloodsucker who took advantage of him to gain financial benefit!

It was ridiculous!

He tried his best to get promoted for himself. He didn't want to be a woman's automated teller machine.

Lanny didn't think she was wrong. "What a miser! You'd better not annoy me, or I will tell everyone in the company how shameless you are and let you become the laughing stock."

"How dare you!" David raised his fist in a rage.

Lanny was not afraid. Instead, she smiled fearlessly and walked to him. "Punch me in the face, and I'll get the evidence!"

David was so angry that his chest heaved violently. "You're unreasonable!"

He couldn't do anything to Lanny. He could only pick up his coat with resentment and went out of the door.

Driving out of the garage and parking the car on the road, David picked up his phone on the passenger seat, found a number, and dialed it.

Soon, the phone was connected.

A sweet and sappy woman's voice came from the phone. It seemed that she hadn't gotten up yet. "Why do you call me early in the morning?"

David said, "Mary, I'll go to your house now."

After David left, Lanny cursed in the living room for a long time.

She didn't care where David had gone and whether he would come back to sleep or not. She was furious.

She couldn't believe she had married a man who didn't want her to spend too much money.

Thinking how mad David was when he looked at the bill, she wanted to kill him.

It was Bella's fault!
