Chapter 29: Chapter 29

Chapter 29 It Has Nothing To Do With Me

The man took his feet off Bob's head. His voice was so cold that Bob shivered. "You can go now."

Bob didn't dare move. He waited until the footsteps disappeared.

After a long time, a young man and woman walked here.

The woman pointed to Bob not far away and exclaimed, "He's dead!"

The man immediately covered her mouth and said, "Don't make a noise! Run!"

They looked at each other and immediately ran away.

Bob moved on the ground and then sat up slowly.

Panting, he took the cloth off his head. There was a mixture of snot and tears on his face, and his hair tumbled every which way.

"Cowards!" Bob scolded in the direction of the young couple.

As he cried out in pain, he got up from the ground, but he wasn't surprised.

When he studied in school, he had been taught a lesson several times because he was lecherous. He had got used to being punched.

He narrowed his eyes and wondered why he was beaten this day. Then he thought of the woman who quarreled with him at the door of the bar.

"The prostitutes are so troublesome!" Bob cursed fiercely.

He shifted all the blame onto that woman.

How could a prostitute in the bar be better than a well-behaved housewife like Bella?

Moreover, Bella was beautiful but lonely because her husband was disabled.

Thinking like this, Bob was more determined to pursue Bella.

He gritted his teeth and hailed a taxi on the side of the road. Under the strange gaze of the driver, Bob looked out of the window awkwardly and asked the driver to take him to the nearest clinic.

Andrew didn't ask for leave the next day. He was mad because someone taught him a lesson yesterday. He arrived at the company early in the morning and went to Bella.

Bella looked at Bob's bruised face, hesitated for a moment, and asked, "What's wrong with your face?"

Bob covered the wound on his face and made a lame excuse, "I fell in the bathroom last night."

He wouldn't tell Bella that someone punched him yesterday or she would look down on him.

He wanted to show her that he was much stronger than her disabled husband.

"But your face is badly bruised." Bella glanced at the wounds on his face and said in disbelief.

Bob didn't want Bella to pay much attention to his wounds, so he immediately changed the topic, "It doesn't matter. The important thing is that I come to work though I'm seriously injured."

He tried to attract Bella with the determination in his eyes.

However, he did not know the eyes on a bruised face wouldn't be charming enough.

Bella said perfunctorily, "Since you love your work so much, your leader must be so touched."

"Don't you understand? I came to work for you. Even if I can't walk and become disabled, I'll protect you like a real man and stay with you forever, let alone I just suffer from minor injuries." Bob said as he approached Bella.

Bella's face darkened.

Bob's words sounded particularly harsh to her.

She was sure that Bob was singing his own praises by belittling Edward.

She didn't care whether he was vain or not, but he was not qualified to judge Edward.

Bella's tone became particularly impolite as she said, "Sorry. It seems that you're disturbing my work right now."

Bob couldn't sense Bella's dissatisfaction at all. He asked, "Don't you feel sorry for me when you see my injured face?"

Bella took a big step back and reached out to stop Bob from approaching her, "It has nothing to do with me."

Bella's indifferent attitude annoyed Bob.

He had taken the initiative to please Bella, but she still pretended to be reserved.

Her appropriate reserve could attract his heart, but she pretended to be cold all the time, which made him sick.

He glanced at Bella's beautiful face and decided to be more tolerant. "My heart hurts when you are so heartless to me."

Bob sighed in his heart. How generous he was!

He hoped Bella could give up her wrong reserve and understand how lucky she was to meet a man like him.

Bella took out her phone with a sneer, "I'm not a doctor, so I can't heal your wounds, but I can call the hospital."

"The doctor can't cure me," Bob said, thinking he looked so dashing at the moment.

"I can call your leader. He must know who can cure you." Turning on her phone, Bella was ready a dial a number.

"No! Don't call him." Bob immediately stopped Bella.

He couldn't let his leader know this or his image would be affected.

Bella blinked and said with an innocent face, "Doesn't your heart hurt anymore?"

"No." Bob waved his hands.

Bella shook her head, "Don't force yourself. I'd better call your leader."

Seeing that Bella wanted to call his leader again, Bob completely forgot his original intention and said, "He is busy with something important now. Don't disturb him. By the way, I have some work to deal with immediately, so I'll go first."

He didn't give Bella a chance to speak, turned around, and left quickly.

Looking at his back, Bella felt so happy and said, "I just want to scare you! How dare you pester me again!"

Meanwhile, Andrew saw everything in the surveillance video.

He left the monitoring room and went to see Edward.

"Boss, Bob pestered Miss Bella again. Miss Bella pissed him off and drove him away." Andrew reported to Edward cautiously. When he said the last few words, he deliberately slowed down so that Edward could hear him more clearly.

Andrew knew how angry Edward was, so he didn't want Edward to vent his anger on him.

Based on his understanding of Edward, Edward wouldn't pay attention to such an unimportant person in the past.

But since Edward met Bella, he had made an exception again and again.

Last time, he taught Jason a lesson in person, and he asked him to warn Bob yesterday.

It was normal for men to be attracted to beautiful women, but Bob shouldn't have pursued Bella. It was his funeral.

Jason didn't know whether Bob was hateful or miserable.

"It seems that he hasn't learned a lesson," Edward sneered and said.

He knew Bella was lovely, and many shameless men would be obsessed with her.

However, Bella only belonged to him. He didn't allow anyone to cast a greedy eye on her.

"Then I'll teach him a lesson again. He'll stay in the hospital bed for a few months." Andrew observed Edward's expression and spoke his mind.

He wanted to break Bob's bones. If Bob couldn't move, he couldn't get close to Bella anymore.
