Chapter 26: Chapter 26
Chapter 26 Confessed Her Feelings
Bella looked into Edward's eyes, "Let me tell you seriously. I don't like the president at all!"
Edward turned his head and said, "So you must have returned to David."
Bella opened her mouth.
She didn't understand why Edward mentioned David.
She didn't even want to see David.
She could only say, "I don't like David, either."
Edward still didn't look at her, "Who do you like? Tell me now."
"I like you! Do you hear me?" Bella was dazed by him and said loudly.
After that, she realized she had made a mistake.
She told Edward she liked him.
She had confessed her feelings to Edward.
Oh no! What was wrong with her?
Edward sat in a wheelchair and smiled like a cat that had stolen a fish from a tank.
Bella stomped her feet angrily and wanted to run away.
She wanted to hide in her room, and she didn't want to see Edward anymore.
Edward stretched out his arm and stopped her from leaving.
Then he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his arms.
Bella's face pressed against Edward's strong chest. Edward's scent enveloped her. His body was so warm that she forgot to struggle.
The hair hand had dropped to the ground, and her hair hung down loosely.
Edward held her waist with one hand and picked up a strand of her hair with the other. He sniffed it with infatuation.
Bella felt suffocated, and her clear eyes reflected every move of Edward.
A charming smile touched the corners of Edward's sexy lips. "Bella, do you know how attractive you look now? If you keep looking at me like this, I think I'll have sex with you."
Bella's eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings.
Edward was in a good mood. He took the hair in his hand as a brush and rubbed Bella's ear, "Sweetheart, tell me again. Who do you like?"
Edward's voice was like the snake luring Eve in the Garden of Eden. It was irresistible.
Bella had almost lost her reasons.
"Tell me. Who do you like?" Edward didn't give her time to think.
"I..." Bella was startled by her hoarse voice.
She realized that she had been teased by him again.
Damn Edward!
She broke free from Edward's arms and ran ten steps away from him. Then she turned around and yelled in the highest voice, "I hate you!"
Then she covered her ears and ran upstairs quickly.
There was a noise of slamming the door shut. Edward leaned against the back of the wheelchair and smiled contentedly.
He moved his wheelchair to the balcony and looked at the scenery outside.
The sky was blue. The sun was warm but not hot. A little boy in a cap passed the house on his bicycle.
The plants in the flowerpot swayed gently in the breeze. Bella's beautiful face came to his mind, and his heart softened.
He had never had such a feeling before.
It seemed that his heart was no longer hard overnight. Instead, it was filled with sweetness. He had completely changed.
When he faced corpses and blood, he would only frown, because corpses were too ugly, and the smell of blood affected his appetite.
When his enemies wanted to assassinate him and threaten him, he would laugh at them because they thought too highly of themselves. Then he would drive them into a desperate plight like a hunter teasing his prey.
For him, money was just a string of numbers in his bank account.
In the past, he regarded marriage as a task that had to be completed when necessary.
Five years ago, he smelled the scent of his mate on Lanny, so he married him.
Before that, he didn't even pay attention to her seriously.
He hated the greed in Lanny's eyes, and it made him sick, so he married her but never slept with her.
Although she had cheated on him, he had no feelings when he watched her have sex with another man in the surveillance video. In his eyes, she was just like an ugly dog.
However, it was a misunderstanding.
The scent he smelled on Lanny belonged to Lanny's younger sister, Bella.
He asked Andrew to investigate Bella.
Andrew only gave him a piece of paper.
"President, this woman's life is so boring. I got sleepy while investigating her." Andrew said to him.
Indeed, Bella's life experience was too simple.
She was born without a wolf, and she was not favored at home. She had got married for five years but had no child. In short, she was a miserable housewife.
However, there was no difference between a woman and another. At least he thought so.
Since Bella was his mate, he would accept her no matter what she was like.
Lanny had a love affair with David, so he promoted David first, and then arranged for another director to ridicule David for having an incompetent wife. David was vain, and he immediately did what Edward wanted.
Then Bella became his wife.
Edward remembered the scene of meeting Bella for the first time. He was outside the door, listening to David and Lanny provoking Bella to anger. He thought he would see a crazy woman who had a nervous breakdown.
He waited for Bella to cry and complain like other women who place their hopes and happiness on men.
However, he heard a soft voice. Her cold voice gave Lanny and David a slap in the face.
David pushed him into the house and he saw her for the first time. She was like a delicate lily.
She looked so tender and frail, but her weak exterior hid a very strong heart.
Her soul made her shine like a star. Edward had met a lot of beautiful women, but he was attracted to her.
After Lanny left proudly with David, this cold and indifferent woman burst into tears.
Edward's heart ached for the first time when he saw the tears.
He realized that his heart was not so hard.
He let her cry on his shoulder as if he had been witched.
He hated cowardice and tears, but he let her lean on his shoulder. He despised the weak, but he allowed a weak woman to wet his clothes with tears.
He had only one idea at that time, which was that her tears should only belong to him. She couldn't cry for another man.
He was shocked by his unreasonable possessiveness.
Edward thought it was a normal reaction because it was his first time meeting his mate.
However, as he spent more time with Bella, he became more possessive of her.
He wanted to stay with her, love her, and see her all the time.
Edward pressed his chest. His heart was beating violently.
Bella, his baby, had no idea about his true features.
He was gentle on the surface, but he had a cold-blooded heart.
He would try his best not to scare her.
But since she had confessed her feelings to him, she had promised him, and she could never go back on it.
Bella could only love Edward, and he would only love her till the end of this world.
If she fell in love with someone else, he would kill that man and force her to stay with him forever.
As for those who wanted to hurt Bella, he wouldn't let them go.
He would protect his baby.
Edward looked into the distance and mouthed Bella's name.
