I'm so glad my father took the news well. The only reason I didn't tell him about Penelope is because I don't think he'd believe me, so I'll just play along till I get my daughter.

Now I'm going to channel all of my anger into this court case, this will be my medium to vent.

As I settled into my bed, I heard a buzz sound coming from my phone and I got up to answer.

Ash: yo bro!

Me: hey Ash, what's good?

Ash: let's rather do video call. He ordered and then he hung up.

I made my way to my laptop and almost immediately, a call from Ash came in.  I answered and saw Ash in a bedroom.

"Have you been able to get hold of Brian?" Ash asked with concern laced in his voice.

"Yeah, I saw him today though."

"So what's he doing in New York?" He looked confused.

"I don't know, maybe he has a lover here or something."

Ash looked at the screen for a little before speaking, "Why do you seem so pissed dude?"

Should I tell him? I probably should, I don't like people keeping things away from me anyway.

"So turns out Penelope and Brian are.." I paused hoping he would be able to understand what I meant.

"Shit dude! How'd you find out?" He asked, with no signs of shock.

"Wait, did you know about this?" I asked, squinting my eyes.

"Yes I-"

"So you knew my best friend and my fiancée were getting it on around you kept it from me?"

"No dude! I literally just found out like a week ago. I found them together after the bar that night.

"Fuck you all!" I sighed and shut my laptop screen.

Trust no one - That is my new motto, from this day forward.

A L E X I S

As soon as Kyle left, I ran upstairs to my room in tears. I felt a mixture of anger and sadness.

Should I have told him sooner? No I did the right thing, just see how he reacted today.

My door opened suddenly and I look up to see both Kylie and Sophie.

"I'll just give you both some time." Sophie announced and left.

Kylie walked to me and used her tiny palms to wipe away my tears.

"It's okay Mommy, stop crying." She said trying to console me and I let out a smile.

I pulled her into a tight hug. I didn't feel like letting her go, she is the only stable thing I'm my life right now and I won't let Kyle try to take her from me.

This is the reason I kept her far from me, I knew this would happen if she was close to me.

"I'm not going to let anyone take you away from me, baby. Nobody." I told her, caressing her hair.

She giggled, "but no one's gonna take me away from you! You and I are inseparable!"

Pull yourself together Alexis! Your daughter can't see you weak right now.

I let out a smile, "We are baby, we are."

I used my palms to wipe away my tears and maintained a smile, "Uncle Mark's downstairs, why don't you go play with him and tell your aunt to come up, hm?" I suggested.

Kylie nodded her head and ran outside while I sighed and settled in my bed. It was just morning and I am already tired of the day and it didn't help that my tummy was really unsettled.

"Lexi?" I heard Sophie's voice call softly as she walked into my room.

"Sophie, why's this such a mess?!" I cried to her, while she rushed over to me, engulfing me in a hug.

"It's okay, it's okay." She comforted, slowly patting my back.

"I didn't know everything would get this messed up! I thought we'd leave immediately after the wedding so we could avoid all this drama. Why did God have to do this!" I cried more and Sophie just listened.

"It's good he found out! Maybe this was just destiny trying to make sure that Kylie could have both her parents." She suggested and I shot her a glare.

"I am both her mother and her father, she doesn't need him! And besides, Idon't want to complicate her life by her getting involved with Kyle!"

"But fate gave it to you hard, I mean she's his exact replica! Blonde, eyes, everything! You claim that you don't want her connected to Kyle but you named her Kylie! Strange isn't it?"

"Well..well... I..you couldn't come up with a better name and insisted on Crystal! I just thought that..maybe.. Kylie would sound better."

"And secondly you can't blame Kyle for not taking responsibility, heck, he didn't even know Kylie existed."

"Are you on his side or mine? Why are you defending him so much?"

"Let's be honest here, Kyle just found out that you were Alexis. He also just found out that you both had a child he didn't know about -It is evident that he would feel betrayed by you."

"So where are you going with this?" I sigh, knowing that she had a big fish coming.

"I think it's only right that you talk to him and explain the whole thing to him. I mean he does actually have a right over Kylie, if we're thinking about this properly."

"You..You think so?" I asked and she nodded her head.

"Should I call him right now?" I ask again and she bit her bottom lip like student was in thought or something.

"No, not yet! Do it in the afternoon, give him time to calm down." She answered after a little bit of a pause.

"Thank you so much Soph, What would I do without you?!" I jumped on her and wrap my hands around her again.

"That's enough. So do you want to come downstairs so we can watch movies or something? It's not good if you stay in your room by yourself, you might start to over think."

"I love you." I smiled.

"I love you too sweetie! Come! Oh and PS take Kylie with you if you both are going to meet." She replied and gave me her hand.

We both went downstairs and found both mark and Kylie on the couch already watching a movie. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"What kind of movie is this?!" I yelled at Mark.

"Relax. It's PG 13. So there will be no sex scenes." He replied, covering Kylie's ears as he said the word sex.

I ended up changing the movie and played Barbie for her instead. Even though I played it for Kylie, Sophie and i were still engrossed in it, maybe because it held our childhood.

I also need to have a conversation with Kylie about her father. I remember how I'd change the subject anytime she'd want to bring him up.

I hope Kyle isn't too mad at me and will actually listen to my explanation.
