Chapter 128: Chapter 128
(Dmitri’s Thoughts)
“Oh my goodness, Dee, what the hell happened to you my sweet sweet twin brother?” DeAndre says full of concern while continuously checking on my face.
“What have you done with our handsome… I mean your handsome face, brother?” he even adds with his feminine voice.
“Darling, could you please get me some disinfectant and some cream and some band-aid so I could fix his handsome face?” he sweetly requests to his lover and kisses him.
Then he grabs Luke’s ass when he walks out of the living room where Andre is tending to my wounds.
I spit some of the blood still in my mouth and endure the pain, “He got me hard, Andre,” I share to him what happened.
“Huh,” he scoffs, “Of course he would. You’ve been playing around with his fiancee for a long time, dear brother.” Then he continues with disinfecting my wound after Luke delivers everything he asks for.
I gasp when the fluid stings my chapped blessing lips and broken nose, “Ugh, careful, will you?”
But instead, he hits me on my back, “If you didn’t brawl with him like a primary schooler you wouldn’t have that, asshole!”
“And besides, no one is fooling around Andre, I love her so much,” I defend myself.
Then he looks at me with disbelief, “Oh, really? Then why did you shoo her away last night, huh? Why didn’t you just accept her love when she decided to choose you? Why are you so hard on yourself, brother?”
“Because I killed her parents, Andre. I made her an orphan,” then I bow my head.
But he lifts it up and treats it well, “Then, why did you approach her on the first place? Why get involved in her life, huh? You should have walked away, you should have looked away.”
I sigh, and question myself as well, “Why didn’t I?” then I chuckle.
“What’s funny?” says Andre and his judgmental stare.
“Nothing, I just don’t know the answer to your questions, they even got me thinking now. All I know is that I’m drawn to her. When I saw her that night, I knew I had to be next to her,” I utter sadly.
“Too late, bro. Let her go, not unless you want to be a homewrecker like that bitch woman who left us alone!” he says it full of hatred.
Surprised by his reaction, I just didn’t expect he’ll still be mad with our mother, “So, did you have any recent news about her? The last time I heard, she was in Rome, Italy following her dream to be an opera singer,” I open the conversation.
But I see his lips twitched out of disdain, “Not interested, Dee, not interested! When she left, I mourned for her, that’s enough for me. You have to move on, Dee. Just forget about her, she won’t return to us, ever again.”
His words struck me, his words are the truth that I should have accepted long ago. Apart from Avery, she’s the one I’ve been trying to find ever since. She’s also the very reason why I couldn’t commit myself to a woman, well, that was before Avery came.
I sigh.
After he dresses my wound, DeAndre, Luke and I hang out to drink. Instead of going back to my lonely penthouse, I choose to stya here for a little while.
While we are enjoying chatting with each other, listening to their happy adventures as a couple, an angry woman bursts into the door and appears in front of us.
We are astounded when we see her, and all of us couldn’t utter a single word.
Until I gulp and find my voice, “Heathe? How did you know about this apartment?” my sister’s eyes are locked on me.
DeAndre, Luke and I exchange looks, slowly entering the panic mode. While my sister is still ranging with anger, with her bodyguards behind her.
I stand up to cover for my twin brother, “Heathe, you are not allowed here, come on let’s talk outside,” I try to talk her out in a civil manner.
But she slaps me right on the spot where I was injured. My body reacts to this painful encounter, but DeAndre’s reflect is fast enough. He immediately caught her hand after slapping me big time.
“This smells trouble,” I thought myself.
“Who do you think you are to hurt my brother like thatm little bitch,” he says while lookind down on her as a product of their height difference. “You have no rights to hurt Dee like that.”
But my sister isn’t the kind of woman who backs down, and being the eldest, my father raises her like one of us, a male specie.
She literally draws her hand from DeAndre by pushing him and unclenching DeAndre grips on her arm, “You! You are nobody’s brother,” she says firmly.
I look at her and shout, “Heathe, enough! You have no right to say that!”
“I am not your brother, but I am his, a twin brother, if you are not too blind. You and that old man’s homophobia never runs out of style, huh?” DeAndre defends himself.
“Huh, oh yeah? Whatever you say stranger! I have no business with you so don’t talk to me with that filthy mouth you use sucking cocks,” she rolls her eyes at him.
“Heather, enough! Out of my apartment now!” I scream and forcibly drag her myself out of the apartment.
The bodyguards are about to touch me when I send him a murderous look and warn them, “Touch me if you dare, and I’ll make sure not only you will pay.”
So they keep their distance at me until we are outside the apartment.
When I think that she has calmed down, I set her free, and before she could even speak her mind, I bluntly call her out.
“You don’t get to talk to our brother like that, Heather! You have no rights! He didn’t do anything wrong. His sexuality has nothing to do with you or dad’s acceptance. So watch your word if you don’t want me to leave you and Dad behind.”
“Are you threatening us?” she shouts at me.
“No, it is not a threat but a last warning to you. Don’t you dare speak to my brother like that” I announce with my stern voice.
“You have the audacity after the scene you caused at a hospital, huh?” she finally brings out the very reason why she’s here.
“And yet, every time you have a scandal like this, this woman is always involved,” she judges. “Maybe it is time I’ll teach her a lesson. She and her bestfriend who is my husband’ mistress. Birds of the same feather flock together,” she even dares to insult her.
So I punch the wall behind her and pass through her left cheek, bringing her into a complete silence.
I couldn’t stand what she’s saying. She knows nothing about Avery. How dare her insult and mock her like that.
She looks at me while her tears are collected at the side of her eyes, tears that could flow anytime, her lips shiver while she tries to speak, “Dee, w-what d…did you just do now?”
“A-are y-you rea-lly going to… hurt me?” her voice even quivers.
So I make sure she stays afraid and remember this day, “Yes, sister. Touch Avery and continue to mock my twin brother and you will answer to me!”
And I punch the wall for one last time and her eyes flicker in fear.
“I will let Dad know about what you did to me!” she screams and pounds my chest without any force left in her.
She cries and hysterically bursts out in front of me like a spoled brat, it is all because of my dad, he tolerated her very much.
So I stop her from throwing her tantrums, “Go on, tell him. Revoke my position once again and I’ll build my own empire. You know exactly what happened to the company when you stripped that position off of me last time. And you know very well what I am capable of. So step away from Avery, DeAndre and me.”
I turn my back and command her bodyguard to bring her out of this apartment.

When I get back to my apartment, DeAndre is crying on Luke’s lap.
“Hey, Andre, don’t worry, I send her off now. And I made sure she won’t bother you anymore. So don’t cry,” I tell him while getting a can of beer from the bridge.
“Where’s that bitchy sister of yours? I am going to cut her hair and make her pay for her insults!” he cries like a woman.
DeAndre looks masculine like me on the outside, but his heart is weak, sensitive and he easily gets hurt. Thanks to the bullying of my sister and my father when they found out about his sexuality.
He was locked inside a room to make him a man again. He was bullied by our own cousins. He was hidden from every family gathering just so he wouldn’t show his feminine side. He was an embarrassment as my father used to call him.
So when he asked for my help to escape, I didn’t hesitate nor think twice, and since then I supported him. I sent him to school and sent him to any places he wanted. In return, he would occasionally pose and pretend as me if I didn’t feel like going on a conference or meeting.
Since then, we became closer. Seeing him like this, it somehow breaks my heart. That’s why I am glad to know he found Luke, his one big love.
“At least one of us gets to be happy, right?” I say to myself while drinking my beer and looking at them from a distance.
