Chapter 124: Chapter 124

(Dmitri’s Thoughts)

“Wake the fuck up, Dmitri!” I groan while hearing this annoying voice of his.

“Wake up! We have an emergency!” I try to ignore the annoying siren beside me.

“Dmitri wake up!” and a hit lands on my head.

“What the hell DeAndre? Can’t you see I’m sleeping?” and I get up from the bed and see both him and his boyfriend Luke naked.

“For fuck’s sake Andre, can’t you at least be civil? You too, Luke,” I complain after I see them flaunting their penises in front of me.

“Huh! Let’s see if you could still sleep after this, asshole!” he shouts.

“What now! Just say it so I can go back to sleep will you?” I scratch my head.

Then he squeals, “God!!! It’s Avery, Dee! He thinks you are gay.”

I didn’t easily catch up with what my twin brother has said, so I frown at him looking disdain, “I am what?” my voice rises.

“She thinks you are guy, Dee,” then he stamps his feet, and then goes to Luke for a pamper.

“Believe me, I maybe an asshole, but I made sure she won’t forget me and our sex,” I even proudly announce.

“Uh, I wouldn’t be so sure about that, dude,” says Luke who’s been my brother’s long time boyfriend.

I cross my arms at them, “Humor me!”

“Well, we were actually making out and then…” the he stops.

“And she saw us making out, gooood!!” he squeals.

“Say what? How did that happened? You changes the passcode didn’t you?” I glare at him.

“Err, about that…” then he hides behind Luke and says, “I totally forgot, so yes, she got in and captured our most intimate moment that is.”

“See this?” then he shows off his swollen cheeks, “She did this to me, Dee! She slapped me twice, I thought my head would detach form my neck you know.”

I wash my face with my hands, “The hell DeAndre, you knew we are really on the verge of a break up right? You heard it yesterday!”

“Uh, about that again…”

“Now what?” I yell at him.

“She took back her engagement ring so I think she’s not going to call of the wedding now,” he utters.

“My god, Andre! This is how you repay me, huh!” I quickly get ff the bed and grab whatever robe I could get.

“Dee, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it to happen!” my brother says.

“Just pray she would still want to talk to me, if not, I want you gone by tonight!” I warn him and dashes outside.

“What!! That’s unfair!” I hear him scream frustratingly before the door shuts.

I run as fast as I could just to look for Avery.

But she isn’t in the lobby anymore. When I look a little further, I see a crowd of people gossiping this very early morning.

So I go there in case anyone has seen her, or hoping it wasn’t her they are talking about.

“Hey, what happened there?” I talk to one of the staff in this apartment.

“Good morning, sir. Well, a woman suddenly collapsed in broad daylight. She vomited a lot and then collapsed all of a sudden, she might be pregnant or what,” the young valet boy explains.

With just that, I have a hunch that’s Avery he’s talking about, so I ask him to describe the woman to me, “What does the woman look like?”

“Uh, well, very pretty, sir. She’s tall like a model, and has a brown hair with a little highlights maybe,” and as he describes, I confimed it was Avery.

“Which hospital did they bring her? Tell me!” I ask in a hurry.

“I saw the ambulance’s name sir is St. Andrews Seattle Hospital,” he says.

“Thank you,” then I tap him on his shoulder and drive straight towards the hospital.

When I get there, they are just moving her out of the ambulance, so I instantly approach the medic, “I am her boyfriend, somebody told me about what happened, Her name’s Avery Anderson. What happened to her? I got here as soon as I heard the news.”

Then he looks at me from head to foot, until he rocognizes me, “D-dmitri Sullivan?”

Then I nod, “Sir, sorry, I didn’t recognize you a while ago. Uh, she suddenly collapsed after vomiting. If not pregnant then we are going to run some tests on her.”

“I see, put him in the VIP suite room, and put it under my name, do you understand?”

“Yes, sir.”

“And let the best doctor here checks her out.”

When we enter the hospital lobby, the medic calls me to confirm some information and accompanies me to VIP suite room.

I impatiently wait for her arrival and keep bugging the nurses and the doctor until I see her safely arrive here.

As I instructed them, a known doctor enters after they put her on her bed.

“Mister Sullivan, I am Doctor Myers, I’ll be Miss Anderson’s physician. And you are her?” the doctor extends her hand, and I reach out for it.

“Her boyfriend. So, how is she? Is she, uh, pregnant?” I don’t know why, but I hesitantly ask her.

But she shakes her hand and I feel a little disappointed and relieved at the same time, “Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with pregnancy, but I am afraid that her condition is a result of chronic pain and stress.”

I raise my brows, “Chronic pain? Why, is she sick, is her condition worse? I need to know now!”

“Chronic pain like this could be from too much pressure, stress around her and even mental and emotional drain, does she experience any of it lately?” she looks me in the eye.

And all I could do is look down.

“If that’s the case, then that explains her condition. She needs to stay here for some time, and we will run more stress to make sure she’s hundred percent okay,” she assures me.

“Thank you, Doctor Myers. And by the way…” I halt.

“I can’t go here often, so, I ask her friend to come over instead of me, and if ever her fiance shows up, let him in, too,” my words shocks not only her but the other nurses who heard me.

“I am so sorry, but my ears probably deceive me, Mister Sullivan,” she is hesitant.

So I smile and say, “You heard it right. She has a fiance, but I like her very much, I love her that I even try to steal her away. That’s what stressed her these days.”

Then everyone’s silence mean their approval. “Good, I’ll leave her to you, thank you.”

When I am back at my car, I ask Greta to call Nikolai, “Calling Nikolai… No answer…”

“Try it again,” I command Greta.

“I’m sorry, Dee, he must have been busy, this is already the fourth time,” even Greta learns to complain because of Nikolai.

“Send him a message, Answer the fucking phone, urgent!” I yell.

“Your message has profanity, should I send it as it is?” Greta even checks.

“Yes, send it.”

“Answer the fucking phone, urgent, now sent to Nikolai,” Greta even copies my intonation.

“It seems it world Dee, Incoming call from Nikolai, should I answer?” she asks again.

“Answer!”

“What the hell do you want with my boyfriend, Dmitri! He’s not your errand boy, you know,” Kendra is the one who called me back.

Just right on time, K.

“Hello, to you, too, Kendra. Good timing! You need to come to this hospital, I’ll send you the address,”

“And why do we have to listen to you, asshole?” she yells at me.

“It’s Avery,” and her name seems like a magic word to Kendra.

“Send me the answer now, and don’t you dare leave her, not until I could punch you in front of her,” she warns me.

“I’ll gladly accept that,” I answer back.

After almost an hour, Kendra’s hot head finally shows up at the other side of the door, and of course, followed by with Nikolai.

And just like she promises, before I could even talk and completely stand tall, her fist connects to my right cheek.

“That’s for making her cry, asshole!”

“Oh my god, Mister Sullivan, I’ll just get some–” says the nurse in panic.

“No need,” I firmly says.

“I’ll go now, Doctor Myers will brief you regarding her condition. I am pretty sure my presence will only make her worse.”

“At least you are smart enough to know,” Kendra sarcastically says.

And since I am no longer welcome here, I pat Nik’s shoulder and go on my way.

“Goodbye, Avery,” I utter while slowly closing the door, and I, I don’t know if my eyes are playing with me, but it seems that Avery is watching me as I walk away and close the door.
