Chapter 39: Chapter 39
While holding the stake in her hand, Cassandra watched Hecatos' ashes flew into the wind. Alekxia tapped her back while clutching her stomach. Alekxia ran to where their comrades are leaving her alone. Cassandra breathed profoundly and walked to her mate while he was fighting with Albarin Magnus.
Cassandra saw Sebastian landed a punch on his face, but Albarin fought back and used his power. With a wave of his hand, Sebastian flew away. Cassandra glared and tried attacking Albarin, but it was futile.
"You are really incredible werewolf, my dear. You managed to kill Hecatos," Albarin taunted.
"And you are the next one, Albarin. We'll make sure to kill you," Cassandra spat venomously. Albarin's smiling face faded away and was replaced by pure anger and bloodlust.
"You bitch!" Albarin yelled. "Cruskmein"
Instantly, Albarin roared in pain. Cassandra worriedly looked at Sebastian. His nose was bleeding. She knew using this power drained his energy, and he'll feel sick. Sebastian was glaring at Albarin. He's waiting for this, waiting for Albarin to lose focus so he could use his power to attack him. He roared in pain again and knelt on the ground.
Cassandra grabbed the silver stake and used the opportunity when he's unable to stand up. She was about to stab him, but Hecatos pulled her hand while his other landed on Cassandra's stomach. Cassandra screamed when she felt a surge of pain. She felt like she was burning inside.
"It hurts! Let go of me!" Cassandra yelled while trying to get away from his hold. Albarin let go of her hand, and she fell to the ground, groaning in pain while touching her stomach.
"SEBASTIAN! You dare attack me with your stupid powers!? You will fucking pay!" Albarin roared while looking at Sebastian. Cassandra hissed when Albarin pulled her on the hair; tears were streaming down her eyes. She can feel her strength leaving her body. She felt weak.
Cassandra tried so many times to remove his hand, but she couldn't do it. The constant fighting has taken a heavy toll on her body.
"DON'T YOU DARE HURT HER! I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!" Sebastian yelled, his eyes changed to deep red. Albarin laughed sardonically.
"You are going to kill me!? You must really love to joke around, Sebastian." Albarin laughed, mocking Sebastian. Cassandra desperately looked for Elijah but seeing him fighting with Ikrur, she felt defeated. She felt really pathetic.
"Love!" Sebastian called her. Is there any way to kill Albarin, the most potent wizard? "LOVE!"
Cassandra was surprised by Sebastian's yelling. She glanced at him with dry tears on her face. Sebastian smiled. For a moment, Cassandra felt the pain and suffering were gone, the war, everything becoming a blur. It was just Sebastian and her in the chaos. Cassandra smiled back. With all the courage set in his eyes, he spoke.
"I will save you, love. Even if I die, I will."
"Great! Bravo! What a splendid speech you got there Sebastian but sadly this is the end," Albarin said. The time accelerated. Cassandra saw Sebastian running desperately to her while crying. It's her first time seeing Sebastian cried hard like that.
"Why are you crying, my love?" Cassandra mentally thought. She glanced at her chest and saw the silver stake plunged in it. She doesn't even felt it when Albarin stabbed her. She coughed.
Sebastian shouted desperately, but she couldn't hear him. With all the strength left in her, she reached for Sebastian, which he quickly took.
"Love, don't close your eyes! I'm begging you! Please!" Sebastian begged and cried. Cassandra coughed again; she raised her hand and touched his face.
"S-sorry, let me sleep for a am-minute," Cassandra managed to say despite the pain she's feeling. She slowly closed her eyes and embraced the darkness.
"No, Love! NO!"
I love you, Sebastian Alistair Blood.
