I'm here again, same place where I always see her in my dreams. A house no- a mansion with many trees and flowers. I thinkit was abandoned, it always look old.

I’m here outside the house, I don’t want to go in either so I just go to a tree with two swings. I sat on one of the swings… I was losing my appetite for everything. Did I die? Did I survive?

"Hello Maple." I heard him say behind me.

"Who are you?" for the first time, i can speak here. when I come back here, I can't answer. I can't speak either, but now I can talk to her now. "Why do we look alike?"

I heard light footseps coming from him and he sat on the vacant swing next to me. She started swinging it.

"I'm you." His answer was short. "I mean the old you."

“Old… me? Is that why I can't remember what happened in my past? ” I asked with a laugh. Wow seriously? I didn’t even think of that? or asked that myself?

"Yes, it's better not to remember… the past for the meantime." He replied, she was smiling. But his eyes are dead… "At least you lived a good and peaceful life for a short period of time."

“What kind of person are we in the past?” staring I asked him. She was still smiling, why is she smiling?

“We were kind, cheerful and happy type of Maple. We are always the positive vibe in the family. Until someone ruined it… ”he explained to me. "We were naïve and too young to understand that the world was indeed a horrible place."

“W-what happened? B-why? I don't remember anything? ” I asked tearfully. “I don’t know myself anymore! I'm already hurt by what's happening! No one is telling me- “she held my hand, she’s still smiling.

“I will show you… we’re taking too much time anyway. It's time for you to remember everything. ” She snapped her fingers and memories started flashing in my eyes.

(Author’s POV) (7 years ago, Tempest Clan)

Maple Quinn Tempest was the youngest daughter of Daphne and Earl Tempest. One of the strongest clans in the world of vampires, they are famous for because all their daughters are incomplete. They have 5 daughters… and Maple was one of those.

Because they are the top 1 of the strongest families in the country, the Leopold family is second. The two families did not get along very well because they were in the Top 1 position. Even though they’re rivals, the respect each other.

The vampire society was peaceful until someone ruined it. It was the Tigress Clan, also known as Tigris.

“Ateee! I want to go out! ” tearfully Maple said to the older sisters.

“It's not possible because Maple. Mom might get angry, they're not here yet. And a visitor will come later. ” Maple's face lit up when one of his sisters said that.

“In case we leave, maybe you will be the only one left here. Don’t worry! Ophelia is here for you to play with! Mama will be home for the guest too. ” his other sister replied, so he just bowed when he heard that.

‘They are always busy because they have to work,’ Mama and Papa said, adding that their sisters ’work is dangerous. Why do they even have to work? I’m sorry about this. ’Maple thought.

"I do not want! Ophelia is mean and cold! She won’t speak properly, she always hide behind big brother Zack! He doesn't want to play with me! ” Maple's annoyed shout at his siblings.

“Sorry Maple dear, you need to stay hidden in case something happens. Let's go." and because of that his brothers left.

"Young lady, let's play in-"

“NO! You’re not fun to play with. ” Maple whispered to the maid Ophelia. Ophelia bowed… "I'm sorry I don't want to be mean but it's the truth, you're always hiding from brother Zack."

"I-I'm sorry young lady." Ophelia apologized so just shake Maple again.

“You should smile more! You're so beautiful, so where are Big Brother Zack? And that little guy you’re always with? Is the name Juno? ” Ophelia nodded.

"Juno is going to the states to train for idolatry." Ophelia answered sadly. “I-I can't go-

“You should go see him then! Don’t worry, I’ll just go to my room. ”

Then he went to his room and locked himself there, he was always left behind… after a few hours his father and mother arrived.

"Maple ~ Come here" he immediately followed his mother. Her mother smiled and greeted her to the guests. "They are Kailey and Caius Leopold."

"Hello My name is Maple Quinn Temprest, nice to meet you." Maple bowed as a sign of respect for them. Maple is quiet when there is a visitor, she can’t talk much because it’s disrespectful, her family thought her proper etiquette in their house. Though his family is always busy.

"Oh Killian, greet her too." the woman said smiling. Maple looked behind the two and saw a boy, he was just staring coldly at Maple’s family. "Do you know you're the same age?"

“Haha! Let the kids Kailey dear. Come to the living room, you have my wife. Maple, entertain the young guest. ” Her mother winked and raised an eyebrow. “Isn’t your son incomplete? They’re a good match for my son, aren’t they? ”

"I do agree Daph, I hope they agree?" and they go to the living room together, even though they are at odds in business. They are friends in person. Maple gazed at the young guy who was just staring coldly.

“You know how rude you are, haven't you been taught good manners and right conduct? That’s bad. ” Maple said to the man. The man ignored him and just walked outside, Maple followed him. “Woi! Notice me."

"Kuya said not to talk to strangers." It said to Maple.

“Stranger ?! I introduced myself! Besides, I'm too beautiful to be a stranger! ” Maple whispered to Killian, they went to a tree near the fence. "Oh wanna be my play mate?"

“Why would I?” –Kill.

“I don’t think you have friends because of your attitude. Come on be my play mate, you probably don't have a playmate because you mean. I’m the one who offered, don’t be shameless ”

And from then on, Killian always came back to Maple's house, sometimes she ran away just to get to Maple's house.

Case one day there is an incident that no one wants to happen.

“Maple! Run! They haven’t seen you- RUN! ” Maple's Mama shouted while holding a gun.

“Be the last Tempest out there. Ophelia’s family will keep you safe, just RUN! DON’T LOOK BACK! REMEMBER THAT YOUR FAMILY LOVE YOU SO MUCH. ” his dad shouted.

They want her to escape without them, why ...?

Maple ran crying as he saw his family covered in blood, his sisters and his mama and papa. Everything was burning, even their mansion. She fled where they always meet Killian.

It was their secret hiding place. They always run away from home just to play here.

“Quinn !!”

"Killian!" Maple gasped at Killian. He didn’t expect that he would see his friend there. "Kill-"
